- Deeply rutted black diamond hill climb which seems to have gotten more difficult since a few months ago. My rear tire also needs to be replaced.

I see two things that would help: work the clutch and stand up. You need to use the clutch to keep the engine in it's power band and control the power you put down to the rear. Being that it's hydraulic you should try your best to just one finger it, the lever pull should be fairly light. Standing up is going to put the weight lower on the bike (on the pegs vs the seat), which makes maneuvering through ruts easier. Love the bike, looks great!
The key is not speed, it's momentum.
Even if you're moving slowly in first, don't stop.

💯 percent agree with working the clutch and definitely standing up squeezing your knees on the gas tank make for a huge difference in riding

The trail is jacked! Looks like a lot of water came down it. Dude that e-start made your life a helluva lot easier!

granite hill is so easy, ididit on my cr125
I did it no problem on my 2014 crf125 big wheel. Maybe the conditions were super terrible and/or maybe his tire was really that worn out.
Pick your lines better and foresee your approaches before you head in. Stay out of ruts and feather the clutch as you tractor through difficult shit.

Eric ive never been anywhere else. want to, but my truck is a bit old to go far. carnegie is only 10 minutes from home, so its just so convenient. if you ever go to carnegie, let me know, ill show you some good trails. its kinda random out there
cool. When I go there, it's overwhelming because everything is two-way and trails crisscross all over the place.

Gatta bulldog the bike when you get stuck on a hill like that just start it up get off and slowly work the clutch and the throttle while you walk it to the top just a little easier so you can get back to riding 😍
Be patient nobody is born a expert rider, try easyer trails first then tackle harder trails later, you need more seat time my friend your making many decisions like what line to take clutch & thottle control on trails like that I mostly use 2 gear also you may want to try a recluse clutch but there not cheap, good luck and happy trails.
