great tips, and love the fact that the vid is short and straight to the point. The Vifly is great, but the pity is there's no way to properly manage the lipo battery it comes with. After a while, especially when not in use, it'll begin to puff because there's isn't a way of putting it storage mode\state.
Hey thanks appreciate the comment. Yea, figure this could be a quick video, just to share the fun situation. Also I’ve been meaning to share these tips as they’ve been really helpful for me over the years. Definitely a bummer about the ViFly Battery, I’ve been thinking about swapping it for a bigger 1s, then it’ll beep for a week! Haha! Thanks for watching, appreciate the support, cheers!
Nice, thank you and welcome to the channel. I’m always testing something, so let me know if you have any questions, or suggestions, also like and comments are always appreciated as well, cheers!
Right? Now of course I’m using high-gain helical antennas for these tests, but still quite impressive performance up until the end. I’ve even pushed past 3km with 25mW, it’s all about antennas. Anyway keep flying, cheers!
Thanks, Norway is beautiful year-round, but wintertime is extra magical. Here’s more cinematic video, “Perfect Norwegian Day” which illustrates that point: th-cam.com/video/9lIXkOKIuaA/w-d-xo.html Appreciate the comment, cheers!
Yea, such a simple but important upgrade for any “outdoor drone”. I lost a quad years ago in the forest because the battery disconnected when it crashed. I still search for it sometimes… lol. But if I had this buzzer I certainly would have found it. Yea, it’s definitely nice to have a big tractors in this situation! Thanks for watching, cheers!
Appreciate the support. I think it’s because I focus on Quality over Quantity. If I did a bunch of pointless unboxing videos where I just read the specs & did a lame test flight I’d probably have a huge channel… haha! But I have a vision, and some people definitely appreciate my efforts! Feel free to share the channel and videos you find interesting, cheers!!
Being fully honest here, I got into FPV and drones 12 years ago - and even today as I am selling off some old DIY Dji long range builds , and old FPV drone sets - the demand and knowledge exposure is very minimal even here in the middle of Southern Ca. When I used to go out every day to local parks etc - the reaction to drones was very 50/50. Half thought it was the coolest thing every, the other thought I worked for the Department of Defense / Space Alien guy with my helical 5.8 antennas....This was all before any laws on Drones specifically in the US apart from the basic hobbyist laws. Now? Its very easy to have the police called on you, even when flying legally and safely. Alls to say, your channel - and style are top notch my dude - and easily replicated on ...name a channel type ( if you havnt already done others ). I think its less about quality over quantity and probably , topic search/ niche knowledge. @@GiantAntCowboy
I've forgotten to turn the VTX power up enough times by now that I either put the VTX power on a switch, or I link it to my arm state. No way I wanna be stuck turning around to adjust it.
Yea good tip! Generally I just have it set to Max Power, but was doing some “other testing” the day before and forgot I set it to 25mW… oops. Really impressive results for 25mW though!
Wow 🤩 - what a tractor 💪🚜👏👏! And so far with 25mW 😳🎉… All my quads have a Vifly beacon - self powered - since I once spent two full days to find my quad in a field before the farmer cuts the grass 🤯🥵😆. This was a hard lesson for me and I never forget to activate my „insurance“ 🔊 before liftoff 🚀😂✊
Yea I have a “beacon” also but always forget to turn it on… lol. The ViFly Finder is nice because it automatically turns on and charges when the quad is powered. Either way, definitely a must have for anyone flying outside. Yea, the tractor is a beast, I’ll take it up when it’s too slippery or snowy for the ATV; and Definitely impressive performance from 25mW! Appreciate the comment mate, cheers!
I know. At that distance and through all those trees… incredible! At full power I confidently fly 7km out, and actually I’ve flown 3km+ at 25mW before, which was also on mistake… lol. I have a few test videos about this if you haven’t seen them, but anyway thanks for watching, and appreciate the comment. Cheers!
100% isn’t that amazing!? The quad is basically waterproof, but if buried in the snow the buzzer would be almost impossible to hear… thanks for watching, cheers!
@@ridewithandrei I assume you’re talking about my other video, (this one was with HDZero). But yes, I’m still a little disappointed with WS penetration performance behind trees. I’ve tried other antennas and haven’t had much improvement yet, I’ll revisit this again soon.

No problem. Build, fly, crash & repeat! Good is that you found it.
Yup, this is the story of my life… haha! Cheers bud!
Great rescue there ! The tractor helps a lot !
For sure, the tractor easily cut an hour off this trip… and saved some heavy breathing. Lol, appreciate the comment, cheers!
Glad you found it, thanks for the tips. Liked and subbed

Hey! I have to say, 25mw definitely did quite well!

Beautiful footage with snow ❤😊

That buzzer saved my drone when I crashed it in deep snow. Cool tractor btw!

How do you not have a larger chanel? top notch yo

Wow only 25mW??! I wonder how far you could get with that setup with clear line of sight.

@@GiantAntCowboy i m a bit surprised by the results of the walksnail penetration test, i would think it should do much better with good antennas

Step one. Buy a tractor.
Absolutely, I need to add a dirt bike and snow mobile to my garage as well!
