Thanks Mike. I'm thinking I might save up all the money I find and see what it comes to after say a year. I'm sure I can find something to reinvest it in haha. Cheers
good 1 Dino. In the late 90's , a mate and I had plans to detect the Kimberley region of WA for gold. We had an old LandRover with a Holden conversion and were working on tuna boats in Cairns to fund the detectors and trip money. Women, drugs, grog and a fast life soon put paid to that idea lol. Get a bigger spade and cut much bigger plugs. You dont want to devalue a good find by clipping i with that lil spade. 1 scratch can turn a $100 000 find into a $10 000 find real fast. cheers mate.
Haha. Sounds like you had a great time anyway! Yeah with the spade, I try and be pretty discreet as you don't want to atract too much attention. I'm mainly targeting local areas where you get a lot of people around. The cutting trowel/digger I use cuts a nice plug and allows you to return the ground to pretty much how it was. Maybe over the Summer I might need to rethink that. Cheers mate
Nice one Dino, looks like fun great finds too. Always fancied having a go at metal detecting, bet it's really exciting when that bleep goes off. If you get chance you might like a TV series called the detectorists, really mellow series all about these hardcore detectorists. Cheers 🍻
Thanks mate. Yeah it's the thrill of not knowing what you're going to dig. Good fun and gets you out and about. Worth giving it a go. You guys have a much older history to discover. Funnily enough finished watching The Detectorists a couple of weeks back. Really great show. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Cheers
Some pretty cool finds there. Looks like a hobby that could take you out far and wide. Nice video, cheers.
Thanks. Yes, I'm already heading to areas I wouldn't normally go to. Hopefully find some more cool stuff. Cheers mate
Brilliant, nice finds. Cheers 😎👍
Thanks Finn. It's good fun and exercise! Cheers mate

Sure is. Hoping to find some silver coins as they will be in better condition. Cheers

Go along the beach after people have been sunbathing and drinking all day. Checkout the series called Detectorists on Netflix
Haha. That sounds like a great plan over Summer. Just finished watching both seasons of that show. Really good. Very well written. Cheers
