I love Dragon Half. It's cute, goofy and just fun. I'm just sad that it wasn't completed and told only a very brief part of the story. Thank goodness there's the manga that makes for that.
It always fascinates me how these voice actors end up in these little group, repeatedly showing up together in various projects. I suppose it's mostly due to geography, these people probably all live and work in the same area so they just end up working together a lot. I say this mostly because the three main VAs here all had roles in FFX, with the obvious role being Matt McKenzie as Auron, but there's also Matt Miller as Clasko and Sherry Lynn as Shelinda.

I saw this anime here on youtube, and have to admit. The ending was weird as fuck. But I did get sense of what the anime was going for. Its just a shame that it only lasts one episode! On another note, DRAGON-HALF!!! :-)
okay here's how I beleive happened: the hand possessed the girl and through it formed a psychic connection with the main character, and said hand allowed the dying hero to ressurrect in a few body, hence the nakedness, and also deliver the killing blow to the villain. Also, I really liked the concept of demonic possession being a virus in this story and I'm betting the manga follwos up on that mroe tha the film
Also the voice is spot on. Having a were demon constantly clawing at your psyche and twisting your body from within would make anybody sound more like a grizzled badass

It puts the movie into a new perspective if you think of it like this: It's not a demon virus, it's The Thing having escaped Antarctica to Japan. I mean, it doesn't make the movie good, but it does explain some of the weirder things, like the disembodied hand running around near the end.
Given the source of the stock footage in the Power Rangers series (Japanese long running series, Super Sentai), it'd be just as accurate to say "2:30 in, and I just heard Barbara Goodson go full Bandora."

Actually Sage, if you pay close enough attention to the scene in Ghostbusters, the guy in the experiment is actually likely psychic just not very proficient. Look at his guesses vs what cards are being held up and in what order.
I think you said that wrong. He's guessing his wrong but unknowingly guessing her previous ones. Other than that, yeah, the gag is obvious. But the fact there actually was something is a sly one that amplifies the joke because Venkman is acting incongruous to the fact psychics even exist and he's actually helping this guy up his game with the punishment dynamic. But that's why Ghostbusters is brilliant because it has that level of nuance to its humor (unlike that mungaloid from last year).

Having an actual second person there made the show have a little something special, with the small interactions they'd have, that is missing in future episodes.

aderose I doubt it. There's far too much nudity, and I would imagine that the editing process would be a pain in the ass. I would love the see a review on that series though.
Hey Sage, Was just wondering if you had ever watched/read Ai Yori Aoshi. It has some similarities to Love Hina, but done a lot better, imo. Unlike the wishy-washy reasons Naru and Keitaro (sp?) not getting together, the MC's in Aoshi have actual conflict in their lives. Peace.

This movie pretty much coasts along on its smooth art style and hearty sound design. And tentacles.
Aw man, Dragon Half was the first anime I ever downloaded like 16 years ago. Good times, can't wait.

There was no fallout. Gabe got a sex change and didn't want to haveher transition documented on camera. They're still friends to this day.
