To appreciate this movie it might be best to be familiar with the television show from the '80's. In it McCall was dealing with his guilt of being a CIA operative and doing pentenance. This film leans more into the psychological aspect highlighted in the series. I liked that approach.

I've just watched it and have to agree that nothing really happens?! He's in recovery for almost an hour of the movie, then just as the action starts to pick up, there are only about 20 mins left..😖 It felt like one of those 'lets just make a another movie for the sake of it' types...
Its disappointing because i rewatched the 1st and 2nd just before watching this one and it's nothing like those, weak plot, no real link to those previous ones apart from the very end. I'm actually surprised to see some people saying its the best out of the three🤷🏾‍♂️

For me This was fine. The second was terrible and I felt this improved on pacing and villains. Simple plot and story for sure and I get how it wouldn’t work for some.

Unfortunately this installment just didn't hit the highs in terms of action and connection that the first one did. This is not a bad movie by any means, it just had a high bar set by the first two movies.
