We have a 30" square opening right outside our back door, at ground level, that we've recently exposed. I'm in a total quandry as to how to safely yet stylistically build something on it to access yet keep pets and kids out. It makes me very nervous, lol ! But also, the old well is a great emergency water supply when the power is out. But this looks beautiful. I'd love to have something like it built with a locking safety device lid also..
@@SpecificLove7 I have to build this out of safety necessity! Please provide an estimated material list such as number of pressure-treated two-by-fours and measurement Etc. I have a hole beside my house that used to be a water well that is more than 12 ft deep. It has no safety sides to prevent any thing or anyone from falling in. Where you have a concrete Barrel sticking above ground I have nothing! It is just a straight drop cliff! I realized the diameter of my whole May be different from yours and will change size slightly but I can adapt from what measurements you give me please.
AWESOME job 👍🏻 Love it, wow. I really wish I had the same talent, one would think with the home time ( some of us have ) at hand, we'd all be pros at something 😁🤔 Be well & Blessed!
What do you think about this, if I were to use the same frame you have here, but with cedar columns and edging at the top, solid inside bottom, & a table top glass, for the living room? I bet you can do wonders with a medium/large wooden spool!
I just finish watching this video and the one to make the roof. We have a grinder pump that is an eyesore and would love to build your wishing well for it BUT we need to be able to access well for the grinder pump. Do you have a suggestion on how to build the base so that we can open it up to give access to the well and pump if needed? Also our grinder pump looks to be larger than your well. Do you think there would be any problems making your design large enough to fit what we want?
Is everyone able to watch this till the end? Mind ends 3/4 of the way through and I get the black scree saying “Something went wrong Tap to retry” right before he cuts the cedar pieces that are stacked 3 high.
My great-uncle Big Jimmy built a wishing well at my church. That was only a couple of years before his death. Despite being old and having shaky hands, he was able to build the wishing well. He died on December 17th, 2022. He was 84 years old. But now, he's in heaven, where he's very happy. Big Jimmy was a friendly guy. He fought in the Korean War and worked as an auto mechanic later in life. Everybody loved Big Jimmy. If you're wondering why we call him Big Jimmy, it's because his nephew, my father, has the same name as him. Big Jimmy got his nickname when Daddy was born. Big Jimmy and Daddy were always known as Big Jimmy and Little Jimmy. Only my preacher Bill calls Daddy by the nickname of Little Jimmy.
I use a combination of Ryobi and Ridgid Tools mainly. I like the price of the Ryobi and the lifetime guarantee of the Ridgid, so sometimes it is a hard choice.

Hello. At 1min, 45 sec you describe how you cut a 2x4 "right down the center" to make the columns. Can you clarify exactly how you made these cuts?
Excellent job thanks for sharing.

I restarted the video and fast forwarded to a few seconds after the error and it’s playing now... maybe an ad glitch? 🤷♂️
It must be a glitch, I just checked it on a different tablet and it went all of the way through. Thank you very much for letting us know.
Specific Love Creations the video freezes on my phone and computer.

Fine for me
Thanks for letting us know

Thank you very much
Kinda new to this. Is there a cut list available for sizes
Since this was a completely custom build, I did not have a cut list, sorry.
Nice troll @ 3:42 adding, "I'm a", overlay on the 2x4 that's stamped with STUD.
We were wondering if anyone would catch that, you have good eyes.
