While I think it would have been amazing, I'm sure the reason it wasn't operatic was so a modern audience could find the performance as awe inspiring as how someone back then would have been.
Ingeniero Guzmán Hi! Good day😊please try to hear Gerphil Flores Singing “Never Enough” it is also a classical way of singing. You will also enjoy her performance. Thanks😊
I'm trying to hold my breath Let it stay this way Can't let this moment end You set off a dream in me Getting louder now Can you hear it echoing? Take my hand Will you share this with me? 'Cause darling, without you All the shine of a thousand spotlights All the stars we steal from the night sky Will never be enough Never be enough Towers of gold are still too little These hands could hold the world but it'll Never be enough Never be enough For me Never, never Never, never Never, for me For me Never enough Never enough Never enough For me For me For me
Tbh, I thought this song to be dead considering that almost every renowned artist has come up with his/her own rendition most of which are unquestionably terrific. But at some point you’re simply fed up with a melody. So I was skeptical. Why would I even bother? Boy, am I glad I did. And the video did the trick. Emer’s beautiful voice is beyond any doubt but her newfound courage to allow for some vulnerability takes her rendition to a new level. You see, this version is not just pleasant to listen to, it’s authentic, it’s believable! And the video makes it visible, perfect Emer on stage vs. true Emer in the makeup room struggling with insecurities and self-doubts. Brilliant! Yes, “Never Enough” was dead, but Emer resurrected it.
This is exactly what i thought "NEVER ENOUGH". She in the movie is a very good singer indeed, but I am not sure the way of singing like that is "opera"...I felt weird when I watch the movie. I love your sing, Thank you for uploading this.
Emer, I "never" hear "enough" of your beautiful voice. This is the most beautiful version of "Never Enough", that I have ever heard. God Bless you, Emer and God rest your father's soul in peace. Your father is in Heaven, looking down on the beautiful diamond he created with your mom, a beautiful diamond named Emer.
You should have sung this for the film. Amazing pure voice you have. The woman the character was based on was an opera singer called Jenny Lind but they cast it as a pop singer instead.
So beautiful 🤩 I personally prefer this version of this song because every time I hear it being song on the greatest showman I can almost feel the strain in her voice when she hits the high notes
Emer, I never write to you, but I want you to know that I consider you one of the best sopranos in the world. This version is excellent, it is perfect and powerful. Likewise, your performs with Affiniti are wonderful. I congratulate you on your success.
Oh my dear god!! I think I’ve been reconciled with my opera singing style! In a time of artistic crisis, I was decided to sing different than opera and o tried so much to belt on this song and push away my head voice, that I got disappointed again! Until I saw you! Thankyou!!!
Please please Emer would you tell me in what music key is this version at?? I want to sing it on this version too, is the only one right for my voice, Thankyou
I had to perform this song for a performance tech final jury and struggled to sound amazing singing the pop version… wish I could have sang it opera style because that suits my voice type much better for my upper range. I can sing blues and jazz or pop in my alto voice but for my soprano voices, operatic is so much better and now I found this! Love it! Exactly how I heard it when I first saw the movie and they kept saying “opera singer”. Wish I’d have discovered it earlier (it wasn’t out yet when I sang it) but now I’ll sing it again with this to practice to 😊❤❤❤
Lockdown and the threat of Covid-19 is having a strange effect, it seems to heighten the senses and emotions and appreciate beauty in all it's forms. Think I'm falling a bit in love with you - don't worry I'm completely harmless!
I was so excited watching the movie in the theater and to hear the “opera singer” finally sing… only for a pop singer to to belt this out. Beautiful but this operatic style is far superior and much more difficult technically to sing. And would have matched Rebecca’s amazing performance in the movie ❤❤
Simply stunning and pure perfection as always. Perhaps one day you will consider endowing us with an operatic version of _'I Dreamed A Dream'(?)_ *_R_* 😀
This rights a great injustice to Jenny Lind. I like to think she's smiling in Heaven ^^ Because it's actually sung operatically (thank you!!! Not that Loren Allred didn't do a great job, but it just didn't feel right!) and is about genuine introspection instead of saying that a woman's career isn't worth it without a man.
Man, alot people complaining about how things should have been and on and on... It's one thing to have a preference, but another to tear another performamce simply because it isn't your preference... Friggin sycophants and pseudo hipsters, all of ya. Anyway, that was a marvelous rendition... You pulled me into the song just as much as the original. That was four minutes of technical joy. You're an awesome singer!
When I herd you firs time : O holy night 3 -4 years on You Tube ,I pray for your talent can be well known . And now I pray : you well know Jesus. God bless you. Love God with all your heart ❤️ and see you in heaven .
I'm trying to hold my breath Let it stay this way Can't let this moment end You set off a dream in me Getting louder now Can you hear it echoing? Take my hand Will you share this with me? THIS! THIS IS WHAT I'M FUCKING TALKING ABOUT! THIS! IS! OPERA!! Sorry, but that other lady can kick it, the pose, the breath support, the effortless high notes! We were cheated! Utterly cheated and no one cares!
This is exactly what Never Enough should have been to begin with. THIS is an operatic version and its beautiful enough to move to tears
Ok
While I think it would have been amazing, I'm sure the reason it wasn't operatic was so a modern audience could find the performance as awe inspiring as how someone back then would have been.
The best Classical performance I've heard ... This is what I wanted to hear in the Movie ...
Ingeniero Guzmán Hi! Good day😊please try to hear Gerphil Flores Singing “Never Enough” it is also a classical way of singing. You will also enjoy her performance. Thanks😊
No but fr.
I would have to agree with you, especially with the time period the film was set//
Sing, my angel of music
In her voice Celtic soul lives on
❤️
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaa
Àaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa lol
I'm trying to hold my breath
Let it stay this way
Can't let this moment end
You set off a dream in me
Getting louder now
Can you hear it echoing?
Take my hand
Will you share this with me?
'Cause darling, without you
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough
For me
Never, never
Never, never
Never, for me
For me
Never enough
Never enough
Never enough
For me

For me
If the movie is remake with real classical performance in it, this is what I expect from Never Enough song
Omg that would be amazing

It's only been recently that I have heard this song! Emer's voice is a dream to hear!
Honestly, I never thought I would like an opera version of this song; but this one is so fantastic, don't want to stop listening! Awesome work!
Frank Goetz aw thanks Frank, that’s nice to hear! 🦋
Thank you! I have been looking for a non-belty version of this song :D
This is exactly what i thought "NEVER ENOUGH".
She in the movie is a very good singer indeed, but I am not sure the way of singing like that is "opera"...I felt weird when I watch the movie.
I love your sing, Thank you for uploading this.
田中イチロー The actress, Rebecca Ferguson, did NOT sing in the movie. Loren Allred is the singer’s voice you hear.
Yes!!!! :) I was so disappointed it wasn't opera.
TexanAmerican
thanks for telling me! Loren was done with very good job too!
It's not. Showman isnt a theater piece, it's a pop piece that sounds like theater. Every song is a pop song that follows a pretty generic theme.
Emer, I "never" hear "enough" of your beautiful voice. This is the most beautiful version of "Never Enough", that I have ever heard. God Bless you, Emer and God rest your father's soul in peace. one of the greatest sopranos of our time and so versatile as proven here
Best opera version I have heard so far!
So beautiful 🤩 I personally prefer this version of this song because every time I hear it being song on the greatest showman I can almost feel the strain in her voice when she hits the high notes
Outstanding song, sung by the beautiful Emer. What is not to like about this song and the singer? I cannot believe 9 people gave dislikes get real.
Superb!
Hermosa interpretación. La tuya y la de Katherine Jenkins son las mejores que escuché.
Absolutely beautiful!
Emer, I never write to you, but I want you to know that I consider you one of the best sopranos in the world. This version is excellent, it is perfect and powerful. Likewise, your performs with Affiniti are wonderful. I congratulate you on your success.
Wow! You have so much talent! Keep on singing ❤️
This is better than the original, Emer's voice and control is so perfect for this song.
I don’t just watch and listen I feel. Whenever does the arrangements excellent as the buildup the power it stays with you even after the quiet end.
Wow! What a lovely voice! A voice of an angel 🌹🌹🌹
Most amazing voice I've ever heard in my life.
Listen to Glennis Grace and you can judge...
Brava 👏🏼 👏🏼 🌹
Never Enough!! i keep playing this song on repeat. Still it won’t ever be Enough for me 💯❤️
I love you with all my heart, Emer Barry! You are one of the modern sopranos I really look up to. I wish I could meet you in person someday.
This is a phenomenal rendition. Breath taking.
Beautiful Version, wonderful singer!
Simply beautiful!
Truly Emer is a peerless singer. I don't know what more to say!
Dearest Emer.. Love your fabulous Voice .. sooo beautiful .. takes my Breath Away .. xx 🎶💖🎉✨🌈
Simply fantastic. A great demonstration of your vocal prowess. I love how the video is minimalist to let your voice shine.
Oh my dear god!! I think I’ve been reconciled with my opera singing style! In a time of artistic crisis, I was decided to sing different than opera and o tried so much to belt on this song and push away my head voice, that I got disappointed again! Until I saw you! Thankyou!!!

I am addicted to the version by Helene Fischer.

My respect!!!! I love ir!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
thankyou for sharing❣️
omg i love emer barry
Loved , 👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻✨🍀🥰😘❤️
absolutely amazing!!
Awesome! Could you make an Irish Gaelic version?
I love this song in the film, but did always wonder why they didn't have a soprano sing it. A song doesn't require chest belting to be powerful.
I was so excited watching the movie in the theater and to hear the “opera singer” finally sing… only for a pop singer to to belt this out. Beautiful but this operatic style is far superior and much more difficult technically to sing. And would have matched Rebecca’s amazing performance in the movie ❤❤
You are gonna be Dorothy in My wizzard of oz auditing!
❤❤❤
Simply stunning and pure perfection as always.
Perhaps one day you will consider endowing us with an operatic version of _'I Dreamed A Dream'(?)_
*_R_* 😀
Oooh I like that idea! Getting lots of time to record these days so I might just put that one on my list!

Thank you Alexandra! Wonderful insight into the piece! xxx
well done
👏👏👏👏👏🇬🇧
This was AMAZING do you have a karaoke version to this? i would love to perform this
You in My audition you are gonna be Dorothy from wizzard of oz!
Man, alot people complaining about how things should have been and on and on...

A very good version. This is actually a pop song written in the 1960s by a British "rock group" which got repurposed for the film
I'm trying to hold my breath
Let it stay this way
Can't let this moment end
You set off a dream in me
Getting louder now
Can you hear it echoing?
Take my hand
Will you share this with me?
'Cause darling, without you
All the shine of a thousand spotlights
All the stars we steal from the night sky
Will never be enough
Never be enough
Towers of gold are still too little
These hands could hold the world but it'll
Never be enough
Never be enough

Mbak request speechless mbak
Wow this sound should be in got talent
Our Emer is far too good for got talent. She’s the real deal.
This is nice! I do prefer the Gherpil Flores cover of this better though. The song should have been song by an opera in the movie for sure.
Better than the original they should have cast you
This will never be enough.......
When times drag us down to the tide
When times drag us down to the pied piper
This will never be enough.
THIS! THIS IS WHAT I'M FUCKING TALKING ABOUT! THIS! IS! OPERA!! Sorry, but that other lady can kick it, the pose, the breath support, the effortless high notes! We were cheated! Utterly cheated and no one cares!
I tried so hard not to cry that my teeth hurt
