I was diagnosed this year at 23. My brother was 3. Let me tell you, I have repetitive behaviors, but I was quiet about them. I was misdiagnosed with OCD. I also have ADHD, and was diagnosed late. Girls are expected to be pretty and quiet. Boys are given more opportunities to fail. Socialization has a lot more to do with it than people realize. Men and women are more similar than anyone would think. There are stereotypes that men don’t get social cues while women are nest and organized. A girl lining up toys is seen as favorable behavior. Many doctors don’t take women seriously, and I was evaluated twice before getting a diagnosis. Socialization is to blame.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! It is so important to share how MANY females get misdiagnosed 😖, it truly breaks my heart. I am so glad that you did not give up- if you’d like to share your experience on my channel I’d love to interview you. Your experience is so valid! !
Very interested, now it makes sense. You heard more about boys than girls. Looking forward for the next video.😊
Yes, we need more recent research that includes females.
“Criteria” is the plural of criterion.
“Quiet”
Nice video. Keep ‘em coming.
OMG! I learned something new today, thank you. I NEVER knew “criteria” was a plural noun 🤯.
👍🏽.

@@mightykiddos Thank you for validating my experiences. I would be more than happy to. Nothing is going to change unless more people say something
