Your ANGA contest is forcing me to pants it. I'm totally into structure and I want to write an outline and then fill out the outline. Subsequently, I have about eight gajillion outlines. I also have hundreds of pages of rando material and freewriting, and finished short pieces, because I have to write for my sanity. But I don't have a book. Now I'm ignoring all the outlines and just spackling crap together and it seems to be working better that way.
It's important to find a process that works for you. Setting deadlines for ourselves and getting our work into the world is important so we're thrilled that you're applying to ANGA.
