Good tutorial! at first i thought it went to fast, but when i got used to it it worked like a charm. The resolution was good so i could easily pause and see what you did. And since to video could not have narration, i think it was a good idea to have no sound since then i can play the music i like. I hope to see more of these in a near future. :P
nice video...sound would have been nice to hear the dimensions like in the rim tutorial...ive been modeling for yrs. but im new to surface modeling...why did you need the surface revolve...ive done many tires with out the surface command..im just curious why you used it?? please respond thnx! nd keep up the good work
I see you do something with the surface bodies at 7:28, I keep on trying but couldn't get the surface highlighted to convert that entity. Please help me
Hey man! I've done a wheel that you made, and now I'm making this tire. But, how can I add these two parts together, I mean: put the wheel inside the tire? Thanks for help!
I keep getting an error when I try to cut extrude the surface-revolve2. It says something like cannot terminate where extrude ends. What am I doing wrong?
Nice job bro.., but any one forget in this sample model. Please give the sample in real tire if possible with the pitch block arrangement in the tread. Btw..good job!!!
Anyone, thats having problems with the "surface" tab. Go to Insert->Surface->Revolved. But altough I don't know why I don't have the surface tab. Are you using SW 2010, or is it just "display the surface tab" thing in options? Thanks for the tutorial!
hello VINIGRIGOLO!!as far as i understand you have made two seperated parts.so you have to use the solidworks assembly to put these parts together.assuming that the dimensions are precise check the upper inner face of the rim of the wheel to be TANGENT with the lower outer face of the rim of the tire.if this doesn't work initially then make the faces COINCIDENT first and then TANGENT. i hope i helped.if not send me a PM to talk again!
Sorry my english is not good, if you have a tire, brake and rin, could you make a assembly with this pieces?, i don´t have idea if mi idea is possible because i doný know if i need anothe piece between the brake and rin, Thanks you are very good :)
Olá, alguém sabe se tem como aumentar os seguimentos de um arco ou circulo, ou spline? Quando faço um circulo ou arco, da pra ver que ele fica com umas pequenas pontas em seus seguimentos.

@xpL410 Thats no problem. - we have all been n00bs ;) check out this tutorial on how to customize the background etc: /watch?v=seChVYnZ0y4&feature=channel_video_title
well done , i never would of imagined this possible , you make it look so simple
For a long time wished to learn to draw a tire! The super! thanks!!!!!
Great tutorial, worked like a charm. Thanks a million. Would be great if you could put up a few more.
Your video is so excellent!! I know how hard it can be… Looking forward to see more tutorials :)
fantastic tutorial mate. really helpful! ive been trying to do a curved surface revolution for weeks!

Thanks for the tut, now a have a tire for my wheel designs.
Great job, love the detail...
Hi, could you explain how to use the curvature combs to determine where I should put the points? Thanks a lot! Great tutorials
What am I exactly looking for when using the curvature combs?
Nice work! But could you add a video about doing a atv handlebar? please
Thank you for the upload. I wanted to know if you could model a motorcycle racing rain tire with helical grooves.
Thanks again.
great video mate! do you have a video tutorial for making spinning rims?
Love this tutorial!! I can suggest you to make a tutorial of modeling a car engine and animate it. I will be very thankful.
could i ask you what settings you have on to make the menu on the right side of the screen appear, mine does not show up there
could you design a rim with the rotor and caliper in one part?
if theres a video could you post i cant find one
very helpful, could you model a football helmet, something like the Riddell 360 or the Riddell Revolution?
nice video...sound would have been nice to hear the dimensions like in the rim tutorial...ive been modeling for yrs. but im new to surface modeling...why did you need the surface revolve...ive done many tires with out the surface command..im just curious why you used it?? please respond thnx! nd keep up the good work
I think that the "Surface Revolution" is used to ensure that the grooves would have the same depth
what version is your solid works? Mine is 2010 but doesn't have the "surfaces" button.
Thank you , it was really helpful.
does this tire fit the rim that u made in another tutorial? If not what size is it?
great vid, learnt alot. Put more vids lol

How did he make his background like that? sorry for the noob question
where did u get the dimensions???

thanks...this video help me a lot!
will you upload example of assembly?i need it.
Do the measures from this tyre match those of the previous BMW M5 rim you created?
no is not
Nice job bro.., but any one forget in this sample model.

Klaus, do you have this with audio?
whats the benefit of solid works opposed to something like maya,
Thanks too much... This is a simple model. Maybe next you could be an Continental top model. What do u think?
Is it possible to send me this part tire? ( or dimensions) thank you
I have the wrong version of this! cant get it to revolve right!
@happygamestvfun1 because in blender, maya or 3ds max cant do planes or FEA.
Solidworks is a 3D CAD program, is specifically for engineer. :)

Hi Birgit.
I will upload a tutorial on how to model a handlebar for an ATV today.
hello, I need the model, and I have a lot of questions about solid works, how can I talk to you ?
ยกนิ้วให้พี่เขาเลยครับ สุดยอดมากๆ
very good, nice , thanks
good for share .
Great job indeed :)
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! :D

Thank you !
Awesome... it would have being better with audio though...
so good
this is not autocad? BTW your good.
Thats cool, I was just joking, Great Tute anyway, Thanks, :)
muito bom !!
do you teach how make models in solidwork online?
Thanks!!! ;)
thank u nice
@xpL410
Thats no problem.
- we have all been n00bs ;)
