Hi! I also had the extreme pleasure of meeting this man after trying to meet CSN&/orY for about 30 yrs. It was after a CSN concert in Clearwater, Florida, in 1992. I sent each one of the boys a dozen red roses and an individualized handwritten card. I sent pink roses and a card to Jan Crosby also because I knew she accompanied David to every show. Graham thanked me by name on stage during the show and I met them after. When it was my turn in line for an autograph, Graham realized who I was and kisses me!! OMG!!! I just died!!! We chatted briefly and I'll never forget one word. I agree with everything you said about him. He's a real GENTELMAN.
Also, this must be said . I met Jan while waiting in line for an autograph and we hit it off immediately. She blends with the crowd waiting to meet the guys and just people watches. She is awesome cool. We talked and laughed for a long while. She told me the boys really loved the roses, but they were REALLY HYPED about the cards. She said they were passing them back and forth, saying," what did she say in yours?". That made me so happy, I could have just died fulfilled, right there. To think I had a moment to tell them something I loved about each of them and they would actually read it and love it was almost too much to believe! Jan and I hugged, and I've met up with her at many other of their shows. She was WODERFUL!! I loved meeting her as much as meeting my boys!! True story
I saw them on that tour. It was an at-least-half acoustic show, when that was only *just* starting to be commercially viable. (Around the same time as Page & Plant.) Graham introduced his new song about unrequited love and said, "We've all been there." The way he said it was so genuine. A bunch of us spontaneously applauded for a song we hadn't yet heard. He remains the real deal!!
That was absolutely brilliant and brought a tear to my eye. What a beautiful timeless classic song. I can tell that Graham Nash is a really cool down-to-Earth guy too. :)

He and Allan Clarke went to the boys' grammar school next to the girls' high school I went to, although a few years earlier. Always loved the Hollies and have seen them a few times in recent years. Fantastic music.

We talked about my family and his home on Kauai. And he acknowledged me way after in LAX terminal. What a wonderful moment. Rock Royalty. We saw him in a small theatre in Palm Desert last year. and at the Indian casino the year before with Crosby and Stills. He still has it. Great voice and they can PLAY!!!!!
That was special Graham Nash... one of my most favorite short songs... Thank you to all those bands and artists from the Sixties, before and after that make our Saturday nites still so good. Cheers from South Africa.
Ann, I'm with you, honey! I'm 65 and have loved CSN & sometimes Y for 55 yrs! I brought them each a bouget of red roses at a concert in Clearwater, Florida. I was sitting in the 3rd row. Graham came out with the roses in his hand, places them on his piano, and thanks me by name! I died and went to Heaven! After the show, he autographed my album and kissed me on the cheek. I said, OH MY GOD! I'll never wash my cheek again!! And Graham said, "Oh, but ya af to, or your 'ol man won't lay with ya"!! I think I walked on air for the next 2 weeks, sighing occassionally.
@@judetheneilyounggirl2358Awesome story, and you're adorable, if you don't mind me saying. 😇😁 I first saw CSN in the summer of '85 (crappy seats but a great show), then Stills solo in a Miami bar in Dec' 85 (I was standing 10-12 feet from him while he was performing... _amazing_ !), then the band again in the summer of '88 (good seats; outdoor show with wonderful acoustics). I was in my 20s then (😱🤣); I still love these guys and appreciate them all the more, now that pop/rock music has spiraled downward since the '90s. I've always felt that my generation underrated and underappreciated this band. I've wanted to see them a couple more times since but missed out, and now I'm kicking myself harder since Stills' stroke and Croz's falling out with him, Graham, and Neil. If we're lucky, they'll all "bury the hatchet" and do a reunion tour b4 it's too late. It's unlikely I know, but as the Bard said, "hope springs eternal" ! So nice to see another passionate CSN/Y fan on here ! Funny you should mention Clearwater; my Mom lives about 20 miles south of Tampa, and I've enjoyed Clearwater/CW Beach, Tarpon Springs, etc when I've visited. I hope you're surviving this crappy COVID OK, and rocking on ! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Stay COOL!
@@Sharky165 OMG!!! SHARKY! I just realized something! I was rereading your text to me and how I didnt pick up on it the first time is beyond me! You calling me "adorable" must have addled my brain more than I thought! BUT, when I read about you seeing Stephen in a bar, solo, in Miami, OMG SHARKEY! I WAS THERE!!!! I WAS THERE! I had heard about Stephen being there, solo, and zoomed over there. It was in a bar just off 95, in Hollywood, wasn't it? Stephen ONLY EVER played in a bar like that just that one time. I know, because I lived in Ft Lauderdale from 1979 til 1993, and I went to every concert Crosby, Stills, Nash and /or Young played at during those years! I have all the ticket stubs to prove it, too! CSN would play like in Ft. Laud., then Miami, then Orlando or Tampa or Lakeland. I'd go to all the shows for that visit to FL. Neil, same thing. He would almost always play the James L. Knight Center in Miami for 2 nites then play Tampa or Orlando for 2 more. He tied up his boat, the " Ragland" at Monte Trainer's in Key Biscayne and then play his Florida dates. I sincerely followed them everywhere they went in Florida during those years. I couldnt believe it that Stephen was going to be at a small, intimate, setting so I'd FINALLY be able to meet him. I was probably standing right behind you! I had absolute plans on hooking up with Mr. Stills that nite. I was amazed at how few people were there, but, haha!, easier to get my claws into Stephen. Do you remember a girl in a tight, short, black dress, with 5 inch black heels, screaming " I love you" to Stephen every chance she got? I was whistling and applauding continously throughout the entire show. But then my heart sank, because, and I wonder if you noticed, there was a very buxom redhead off to Stephen's left, who was very obviously 'With him'. (If you know what I mean) So, my plans of hooking up went down the tubes. And I remember, Stephen didnt stay long to sign autographs or anything when the show was over. I was really, MAJORLY, bummed when he slipped away SO FAST. I thought for sure I'd get his autograph! I ran outside to try to catch him leaving but he was GONE! Did you get an autograph or anything? And we were standing RIGHT THERE!! I know that's the only time he ever played a small bar like that during those years. He did play other "BARS", but they were set up for musical shows. Much larger venues. Not just a regular 'ole bar like this one had been. I am still just shaking! I cant believe we were there together, all those years ago, and are 'meeting' now! Thank GOD for the NET and social media that makes shit like this possible! How COOL! Well, I think its really amazingly cool anyway. Hope you do too! And I hope you weren't one of the people at that bar that nite who wanted to gag me and throw me in a closet! I just wanted to make sure Stephen saw me and knew I dug him!
@@Sharky165 I wanted to tell you that I lived the last 7yrs in Florida in Tampa. My best friend, Laurel, lived in St. PETE and is still in FL. Shes just outside Tampa now. Our home away from home was The Porthole. We spent every weekend there. I saw alot of great bands there. I met Rick Allen, The THUNDERGOD from Def Lep there. And Pat Traverse. And guys from White Lion. And Jason Bonham. And I've sung on stage in that bar with The Bobby Friss Band. I know Bobby from Northern Michigan, where he and I are from. And I live back here now. My BFF Laurel's mom lived in Clearwater. So, as you can see, I'm real familiar with that whole area, also. Do you still live there? Man, I am just really geeked to meet you. We have crossed paths, it seems, and I enjoy talking with you. Thank you, my like minded, passionate, CSN and Y loving friend. I, too, want to see them at least one more time. I constantly check ticket outlets and all of their websites looking for any concert info. I know they'll make up with each other because they all 4 know the music they make is more important than anything else. And this election and pandemic shit has got to have them ITCHING to get out there and perform. You keep praying and so will I. You know, Sharky, I have this nutty idea that maybe the reason I'm their most insanely,( think obsessed,) devoted, loving fan since I was 10 yrs old is because maybe, the one thing I was put on earth to do is to get CSN &Y back together. I know it sounds ludicrous, but I've written a letter to Graham, (who I feel is the most rational of the four and most likely to try to reunite them) telling him that they must forgive each other's stupid human mistakes and realize that GOD brought them together, not to become a famous band and make gazillions of dollars, but for a much deeper reason. Their music CHANGED THE WORLD. And we need it to again. They all 4 are BETTER THAN THIS! They know the music is the ALL IMPORTANT THING here. Whaddya think? I thought I'd send a copy to each one. Maybe, just maybe, my gift for talking and writing can do something GRAND! MAYBE??!!?

Neil was my favorite. Loved the music they made together. He always made Stills better and Stephen brought out the best in Neil. Fierce competition. Voices…..all of them. Graham added the ineffable something to the band….and some of their greatest songs
What a moment, seeing him playing. Even on you tube it is unforgettable. You can see Stephen was completely transfixed. I enjoy all of. your uploads but this one is really special. Thank you very much.
What a singer and songwriter. Carrie Anne, Bus Stop, Songs for Beginners...even singing the Beatles' Blackbird at the start of the CSNY Wembley Stadium concert in 1974. And he's still got it. One of the best. Wild Tales some book too!
Rediscovered this song yesterday on Tidal. Looked up its info on Wikipedia today and somehow found this clip. While the original version gives the nostalgic vibe, this very live version is a breezy breath of fresh air. Speechless.
I used to see this Legend in the Hollies early 60s, in the clubs in and around Stockport Cheshire, before they even made a record. I just knew there was something special about him. Just love everything he's ever recorded.
Great interview by Stephen Colbert of an absolute rock legend, Graham Nash. I loved how Colbert was watching intently as Graham played "Just a Song Before I Go" and you see this slow familiar smile play across his face right when Graham sings "and through the friendly skies", like it took him to a happy place he's visited many times before. Good stuff... 👍
Met him in Montreal in the hallway at his Hotel after his gig in 1978 .... He was so polite and we chatted! He wanted to know details of where I was sitting and how was the sound etc !~ A real PRO!
So understated, poignant and northern. He has retained his innocence, integrity and simplicity through thick and thin. To see him perform that song is to slip my childhood over my shoulders like a favourite cardigan - and I am gone ....
My favorite album when I was 12, "Four Way Street"!! So many great songs on that album. Had already been playing guitar for two years and we used to jam out to it. But there was so many great bands then, Beatles , Stones, Cream, Moody Blues, Hendrix, Janis, my God, those were the days.
@@cynthianolder8587 yes, you're right on. He stole her from Crosby. Cros said he couldn't be mad because he loved them both. The song is pretty much word for word what they had done that day. Awesome, isn't it? To take a regular old day at the flea market and turn it into a most BEAUTIFUL love song. What a lyrical genious. I LOVE THEM ALL!
Such a classic gentleman. Thank you Graham for all the wounderful music you given us through the 50 years you made are generation simply the best man . ✌👍😎
I usually don't like to see the old codgers from my generation trying to recapture the whatever, but that was great. Graham Nash was always a class act.
I agree. I'm glad they're still playing, but come on - 60, 70yo's can still sing, if it's taylored for their voice. But the old stuff - no way. I'd rather listen to their recordings!
@@jondoe888i there is value and wisdom as we get older and it is important to share what we're feeling before we depart from this world , which is too soon for many of us and for others not soon enough . God bless everyone on their Journey both young and old .
@@jondoe888i hmmmm...need to disagree if it’s a meaningful song...the passing of years, life experiences and yes even their voices changing, gives a different turn on the song and I really enjoy that. Case in point Joni Mitchell Both Sides, Now...loved it in her later years with her deeper voice as much as in her beginnings w her pure young voice.
+Frank Drebbin _his voice is still like clear, sweet honey._ Absolutely. And well said, too. For me, next to Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills & Nash [and later, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young ] was the epitome of harmonious rock. Just 3 examples of what made the 60s music one of the very best decades of music ever (the other 2 being 70s and 80s).
I've not listened to the music in a few years. Hearing his voice alone was a real treat, the recognition instant. And what gorgeous white hair! Thanks for staying in.
Meh, he's a pretty good harmony singer, but Stills was the genius. "Was". A long time ago. As for the accent? Yeah, the Blackpool lad with the clit-tickler (where's it gone?) is a Yank now.
I agree. Graham's harmonies and his voice alone just rings out. I am a Stills fan to the core. But I love watching the 3 guys sing together. Crosby so understated, Nash so enthusiastic, and Stills so masterful. And when Neil joins them. Well. Blow me over. OHIO.
Just listened for the Beatles reference and the song had tears in my eyes. Lovely - will buy a copy. Also will dig into his work. Never got into C, S, & N (or Y), but never checked out his solo stuff.
I have never heard that song before, and as I soon as he started playing it I was like "wooooahhh" such great talent! dude!, such a fantastic song!. Few times something likes this happens to someone like me...Thank you Mr. Nash.
He may be old but Nash and his buddies have left us a legacy we can listen to with pride knowing we grew up in the most amazing era of songwriters and musicians to grace this planet. Be grateful baby boomers for the sixties an seventies. We were there.
I had just added " low down payment" by crosby/nash and "Cathedral" to my playlist last week. Graham s music is Timeless. His. SOLO Albums are Masterpieces. He is A First Class Legend. I love his music and personality. Thank you.
A class act. In his book he speaks about meeting the Everly Brothers in Manchester after their show. He and Allan Clark stood in the pouring rain for what he said seemed like hours. Eventually the brothers arrived and took the time to chat with them. Ever since that day he would always take time for a fan requesting an autograph etc. Class act and a great musician
@@4orrcountryof course its possible, but its much nicer when people have great talent and humility. In old Graham's case I really don't see what the fuss is about. Light weight writer , good harmony singer but not a great one-unlike Crosby, who like Graham is an arsehole but can deliver.,
I completely love everything about Neil Young. I've read everything he's ever published, everything ever written about him, recorded every concert, interview, etc. I have every album, cassett, cd, dvd, etc. he's ever done. I say Neil is my ULTIMATE ARTIST. I have a way I ask people who their ultimate hero or idol is. I ask "Who is your Neil Young?" I am writting a book with that same title. The Everly Brothers were Graham's "Neil Young". I've heard him tell this in many places. And yes, he is awesome to his fans. I know from personal experience. He kissed me when I met him 20+ years ago and I said the most unique and clever thing. I grabbed my cheeks and sighed, "I'll never wash my face again!" Dahhhhhh! Oh , crap. But Graham, the ultimate gentleman, replied in his gorgeous British accent, "Oh, but ya haf to, or your 'ol man won't lay with ya!" OMG!! How AWESOME this man is!
I saw him tour this album and he was incredible. He played a set of old songs first then he took a short break and sung the new album. The show was amazing!
Wow, I haven't heard that song in so long that it might made cry just now. The way he slowed it down and listening to the intensity of the words and remembering time that have gone by.
His ability to ingratiate himself with anyone, on the fly, is fantastic! It matches with what he's said about needing to get the hell out of the Midlands, and doing whatever that took. A certain kind of hustle and flow.
Simone, yes! I agree! He makes each person he talks to feel special. I met him in 1991 after being his adoring fan since I was 10yrs old. In 1973, my friends picked him up hitchhiking in Detroit, Michigan. Graham loved to meet his fans that way he said in an interview once. My friends smoked pot with him and talked and sang for quite a while. They said he was the COOLEST!! We were all major devoted fans, so he obviously enjoyed himself. I kicked myself for years for missing that! We had all heard that Nash did that quite often. I guess him and Cros. Later that same year, my same friends picked up Russ Kunkel and Leland Skylar!! OMG!! What frickin' LUCK!!
had the extreme pleasure to meet him a little over a year ago, after a concert with a meet and greet ticket.....he was so humble and charming....yes, a real down to earth nice guy....
Graham Nash just seems like the nicest guy--- down to earth, easy to talk with, and no ego that I can see. His voice is beautiful and instantly recognizable. Try to picture CSN as just CS.... I can't :)
I've read a lot of (maybe 100) rock biographies and Graham Nash's was easily in the top 5 (along with Sammy Hagar, Peter Criss, John Taylor and Andy Taylor, McCartney). Graham tells some great stories about The Beatles, The Hollies, the Everly Brothers, Joni Mitchell, and, of course, CSNY.
I met Graham in 1965. He is an under-appreciated Songwriter, and has always been a delight to be around. There was one occasion when John Lennon and I were discussing songwriting and playing guitars while we were going over a song I had written and he liked. John said to Graham, or asked if he liked the song. Graham looked up and said to me “ it’s a wonderful song does it have a title?” I said “no do you think it needs one.” He looked perplexed, I handed it to John and said, kiddingly, “that’s what he gets paid to do.” Graham without batting an eye said “ that must be why he has to play in a band.” He seemed so deadpan, emotionless as if he wasn’t kidding.” John said to him that part of this was being recorded and we all started laughing and passed more wine around. I guess you had to be there but he was quite funny and very very nice.
All this mid to late 20th century 'rock' and folk music has corrupted society. I wish i could be alive hundreds of years from now when it's long gone and forgotten. Maybe afrobeat or flute or something will outlast it all. When the band stops playing there's still crickets.
how can you not love Graham Nash? His music, his vocals, his stories, his concern...he's a treat to the soul

Graham can do no wrong!
Love him solo...love CSN!!
50 years of pure joy! ❤
I first saw CSN in the summer of '85 (crappy seats but a great show), then Stills solo in a Miami bar in Dec' 85 (I was standing 10-12 feet from him while he was performing...
@@Sharky165 Thank you, hon! In all of my 66 yrs, no one has EVER called me "adorable" before! I absolutely shrieked with joy when I read that! Thank you! I love it! I will forever remember you because of that! I, too, am delighted to meet another person who is as devoted a fan to these 4 men as I am! Hello!!!, my like minded CSN & Y superfan! Love you, Sharkey!
MAYBE??!!?
He's aged very beautifully and still sounds pretty good. Whatever he did clearly worked.
What an amazing interview, what a performer, a classic act. Those guys like him won't be around much longer, sad to see it all end.
@@fernfreeman1729 Its not a matter of how long or SHORT'!! they`ll b. The thing is: " DID U GET THE MESSAGE?"!!!! that they conveyed??!! they all gave us the BLUE PRINT!!!

yup..indeed!
Everyone has his/her own favorite among the three (or four...) - Nash has always been No. 1 for me!
Neil was my favorite. Loved the music they made together. He always made Stills better and Stephen brought out the best in Neil. Fierce competition. Voices…..all of them. Graham added the ineffable something to the band….and some of their greatest songs
Let me add, I bought their first album the week it came out and will never forget the feeling of looking at these three brothers.
What a moment, seeing him playing. Even on you tube it is unforgettable. You can see Stephen was completely transfixed. I enjoy all of. your uploads but this one is really special. Thank you very much.
A delight. Thanks for sharing your gift with us, Mr. NASH.
What a singer and songwriter. Carrie Anne, Bus Stop, Songs for Beginners...even singing the Beatles' Blackbird at the start of the CSNY Wembley Stadium concert in 1974. And he's still got it. One of the best. Wild Tales some book too!
Bus Stop isn't a Graham Nash song. It was written by Graham Gouldman, later of 10CC.
Stephen looks on in admiration as Nash plays the guitar. Rightfully so, what an amazing life doing what you love for 50 years.
His talent certainly stands out.
Listen to him here, he just sounds astounding, true talent. So pure.
Another great artist from the golden days of of popular music.
He still puts on an amazing show. If he starts touring again, don't miss him.
That's wonderful to hear. He just always seems like such a nice and humble guy as well.
He smiled at the reference to friendly skies because it was the way United Airlines advertised itself: fly the friendly skies
Nice song.
Graham Nash is a class act.
Yes he is. Saw CS&N in 77' at MTSU, then 2014 at the Ryman Aud., Nashville. They still sounded great.
He's not a 'class act', he is a jerk like Crosby.
Troll alert!
StartabandRoxy No he is not a jerk! I met him last summer and he is one of the nicest people you would ever meet! I love Graham Nash! Leave him alone!
StartabandRoxy He is a class act!
What a cool guy he is - and great storyteller. Colbert nailed it too - fun watch!
Met him in Montreal in the hallway at his Hotel after his gig in 1978 .... He was so polite and we chatted! He wanted to know details of where I was sitting and how was the sound etc !~ A real PRO!
A true class act.💖
So understated, poignant and northern.
He has retained his innocence, integrity and simplicity through thick and thin.
To see him perform that song is to slip my childhood over my shoulders like a favourite cardigan - and I am gone ....
Just saw him in Cincinnati -- yes, a class act -- he puts on a great show, and, somehow he's manage to preserve his voice all these many years.
What a song. It tells a short story and ends surprisingly, before you want, but exactly when it should
My favorite album when I was 12, "Four Way Street"!! So many great songs on that album. Had already been playing guitar for two years and we used to jam out to it. But there was so many great bands then, Beatles , Stones, Cream, Moody Blues, Hendrix, Janis, my God, those were the days.
Love this guy. Terrific sense of humor and personality.
Way to go Graham Nash ! Always charming and in fine voice. New album songs sound great too. Hope he and Croz can bury the hatchet.
Someone so famous for so long, yet so nice, down to earth and approachable.
& still handsome! I heard him tell a little story once about how "Our House"-it was about his tie with Joni Mitchell
Well..his not -that- famous.
MusicMadMaurice , 100% bang on , mate
@MusicMadMaurice nop..not famous, talent yes, country vein yes..but no fuking famous
Wonderful interview, anecdotes, song, etc.--yea, Graham Nash!
What a charming man! Glad I came across this.
Graham seems to be a very nice, humble and funny man
I love Graham Nash, such a great voice even for his age.
Such a classic gentleman. Thank you Graham for all the wounderful music you given us through the 50 years you made are generation simply the best man . ✌👍😎
The story actually gave me goosebumps and now whenever I play it the song, the same thing happens. Thank you Graham Nash
@@JF-NYC-NJ-Girl or Stevie Nicks with Landslide
Folkish songs tend to age well with their songwriters generally speaking of course.
Yep...Graham with a guitar..good song, good clear voice...magic!!! That's it!!!!
At 74, his voice is still like clear, sweet honey.
I had the privilege to watch csn live last year. they still have it; their voices blended perfectly.
he reminds me of Roger Daltrey
+Frank Drebbin
_his voice is still like clear, sweet honey._
Absolutely.
How about Ringo Starr?
@@MM-vs2et you mean the guy who advertises for skechers shoes, oh how the mighty fall.
I've not listened to the music in a few years. Hearing his voice alone was a real treat, the recognition instant. And what gorgeous white hair! Thanks for staying in.
How can you not smile listening to him sing.
Rare moments, magical music. Loved this era and it'll always be in my head.

Let's bury him.
Romeo Frankenstein: I can dig that
Respect ✊ Mr Nash. Love u man. He's lost the accent 😂
Meh, he's a pretty good harmony singer, but Stills was the genius. "Was". A long time ago.
As for the accent? Yeah, the Blackpool lad with the clit-tickler (where's it gone?) is a Yank now.
"Meh"? What is it with this word? It seems to be what very average people say when they want to appear more sophisticated than they are...
Graham Nash thank you for all the fantastic songs that you wrote and sung.👌👌👌
When you hear this...you want it to never end. Beautiful tune, guy.
Wonderful warm human being ,beautiful songs for your soul
Graham is unbelieveable. Writes and record a song 50 years ago and be able to make it even better at 75 ? I want he ordered.
I agree. Graham's harmonies and his voice alone just rings out. I am a Stills fan to the core. But I love watching the 3 guys sing together. Crosby so understated, Nash so enthusiastic, and Stills so masterful. And when Neil joins them. Well. Blow me over. OHIO.
A beautiful honest lyrics and melody. That's the way to build your own music sound. Congrats! Graham Nash.
Amazing person ..Beyond talented... a legend and a lovely man .
Just listened for the Beatles reference and the song had tears in my eyes. Lovely - will buy a copy. Also will dig into his work. Never got into C, S, & N (or Y), but never checked out his solo stuff.
Graham Nash is a true badass!!! What a life, what a career, simply amazing!
I still really love their music-good to hear from him again
Love you Graham 💗 One of my top favorite songs! Such great memories.....
I have never heard that song before, and as I soon as he started playing it I was like "wooooahhh" such great talent! dude!, such a fantastic song!. Few times something likes this happens to someone like me...Thank you Mr. Nash.
Such a nice modest guy. A friend shook his hand after a concert in Brighton, UK and Graham replied "We're just a Band"
He may be old but Nash and his buddies have left us a legacy we can listen to with pride knowing we grew up in the most amazing era of songwriters and musicians to grace this planet.
Be grateful baby boomers for the sixties an seventies.
We were there.
Yes indeed, the best years!
Wow, thanks for having him on the show and posting this video, I damn near cried.
I had just added " low down payment" by crosby/nash and "Cathedral" to my playlist last week. Graham s music is Timeless. His. SOLO Albums are Masterpieces. He is A First Class Legend. I love his music and personality. Thank you.
What a treasure!! He's why we play music!
What a treat. That was fantastic.
Class act no....big ego yes.
I met the Everly Brothers in 1987 in Austin, Texas. They were so nice and gracious.
@@MrPhilfridge It IS possible, and often probable, to be and have both.
He started that song in the perfect key, what a legend
Wow, I haven't heard that song in so long that it might made cry just now. The way he slowed it down and listening to the intensity of the words and remembering time that have gone by.
I must say that was the best interview I've sen Colbert do on this show. Fantastic.
Such a genuine segment, Stephen's show is so full of warmth, I can't help but grin, I love Graham Nash too
-- He's the best singer of the trio for me. He's produced several ballads I've loved.
Graham looks great and sounds great! Nice to see one of the good guys doing well health wise. Thanks for sharing this!
One of the few good guys in the music biz.
Seemingly. Ask his ex-wife and his kids (who don't speak to him). All is not as it seems a lot of the time.
The majority of the people in the music business are good guys
had the extreme pleasure to meet him a little over a year ago, after a concert with a meet and greet ticket.....he was so humble and charming....yes, a real down to earth nice guy....
Brian May!
that photo of him as a teenage teddy boy looks like George harrison.
They always looks a lot alike.
I had the sound down and thought it WAS! Because the title of this said he knew the Beatles!
Very typical north west england looks
thats what i thought!
VC1 -ditto.
Graham tells some great stories about The Beatles, The Hollies, the Everly Brothers, Joni Mitchell, and, of course, CSNY.
beautiful ...and I love how much space Stephen Colbert gives to his guest...He was listening...and you could see he was hearing
Standing ovation. Wow. Great song.
A class act no matter who he preforms with, we could use talent like his in the music of today.
Graham Nash is a living legend.
his voice is amazing
Graham still sounds good.
