Brave man, taking on such a thoroughly ruined bike. I always liked the GT 185, mainly for the innovative electric starter motor/dyno. The GT 250 X7 was another similar, great bike from same era. But with alloy wheels and better for long distance trips. I seem to remember the X7 also had LED gear position indicator.
Thanks Steve, not sure how much difference there is between brave and crazy 😝 It did take a while to decide if it should be saved or parted out. I like to bring things back to life and this sad but nostalgic bike deserved to live again. I guess that was my motivation to go the extra yard. Thanks for watching and glad you got some value.
