The passages today were exactly what I needed. My husband is having a medical test today. I’m thankful for the promises I see in God’s word. If you see this please pray the doctors have wisdom and find out what is causing his problems. Thank you and most of all thank you Jesus!
2 Cor 2:15 brings up a new metaphor for me: my life and attitude should be a sweet aroma of God’s love, patience, and humility, for everyone around me.
After reading the Bible (almost) daily this past year, I can see how God is changing me. He is giving me understanding and discernment to overcome temptation. I am far from perfect but am thankful for how far He has brought me! Praise the Lord! Thank you TBR!
2 Cor 4:18, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." This resonates with me because it is something I have been reminded to do often lately- to keep my eyes on Jesus and not on my circumstances. He is eternal and my circumstances are temporary. ❤️
Regarding our earthly vessels, “ every chip, every crack is an opportunity for the light to burst forth”, oh God make that true in me!!! Thank you Tara Leigh, you’re such a blessing!
My brothers and sisters we are God’s word to the lost. Let us reflect His character: love, mercy, grace, strength, perseverance, etc. We are letters to others, the lost. Letters not written on stone or paper or a computer monitor, but rather on human hearts. Let us be alive with the Word of God overflowing from our hearts. That’s my God-shot. “And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.” 2 Corinthians 3:3 ESV
Even though I don't typically comment, I look forward to and read everyone's thoughts each day...praising God, asking for prayers...following your journeys. I hope and pray y'all will be here again in the new year, and if not, we'll miss you! Thank you to Tara-Leigh for opening my eyes to God's Word and teaching me so many things this year! So excited to start again on January 1st! Have a wonderful week, everyone! ❤✝️
“The relationship is a done deal. Mawage!” I loved the reference to The Princess Bride. You are hilarious, Tara Leigh. Thanks for the smiles and humor to keep us engaged. 😂❤
We can NOT out give God!! He gives us all things pertaining to the Spirit, even the desire to follow Him. And what do we bring? Our sin. He knows we are broken people wrecked by sin. BUT GOD! Sending His own Son to take our sin and clothe us in His righteousness. As we abide and look to Him He is gradually transforming our hearts, sanctifying us. He will finish the good work that He started in us until the day of His return! Thank You Lord for all things!! Thank You for keeping and drawing us to Yourself. Give us the desire to press into You more and more and to choose You every time in any given situation. Give us spiritual discernment. We need Your leadership and guidance. Without it we stumble around in the dark. But even then, NOTHING can separate us from the love of God. Those You love, You chastise and discipline. Thank You for every spanking Lord🙌🏽 Thank You for brand new mercies every morning!! GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
2 Corinthians 1:3-6 ESV [3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, [4] who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. [5] For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. [6] If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings that we suffer. I love these verses. With my family currently grieving the loss of my dad, the church has definitely been a comfort. Yes and Amen! We carry the light inside of us. And, every crack allows for that light of Jesus to shine through. The Lord is faithful. He uses broken vessels for His glory!
Good beautiful Monday Morning Bible family ❤❤❤ and thanks TLC for another beautiful recap 🤗💯 enjoying the journey Have a blessed day in His Presence He is where the Joy is ❤️
Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is Liberty like a song that I love. The Spirit is our seal. Not our Paul lol he brings the ministry of life not death. Those who carry Christ carry a light in them. Light is always more powerful. This is so exciting. God is definitely where the joy is. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
