Legend has it, that some people managed to take a tour there but got immediately assassinated after they left the building because they knew too much. Their bodies were never found.
I am a digital artist student. When you’re inside the studio or class it really feels like everything is “not existing around you.” its just you and the computer because you’re really focused. Especially you need to catch up for deadlines and goals for the project. Focused is needed for quality
I wish I could see how engine developers work. Studio looks really neat and I like open office environments (contrary to common belief). This is one of those moments that makes me wish I knew French : )
any game designers out here? could you tell me what you think of video game studios and offices and improvements that could be made on them? Do you like natural or artificial lighting/ventilation? Any facilities that you wish you could add to your office? etc., etc..
everyone is so negative here... sure, you need to be cautious about what you're getting into and obviously not everything in literally every job in the world is gonna be sunshine and daisies into but geez, this is a bit too pessimistic if you ask me :/ Chill, not _everything_ is terrible.
Ubisoft will be happy to know that Rainbow Six 3 (which the first song playing in the background is from) is still online survived by the community in 2020. www.r6chat.com - we wonder if any of the dev's from back then still work there but who knows.
Beau building! Tout c'qui manque, c'est du parking gratos (fuck le transport en commun). Joke apart, mon meilleur jeu de Ubi Montreal est Splinter Cell 1. C' était EXCELLENT! Immense innovation.
Well, about any company would love to have a good developer. Remember, this ain’t a government job where they really require a degree to perform certain stuff. If you really want to work at an studio, just sign up for it and show your talents. These companies offer intern trainings of programs like Cinema 4D, or a modified version of GTKRadiant, or all different types of coding languages. Most software aren’t used at schools anyways so when you sign up for a job at a studio, they will first give you a shit load of training of all different kind of softwares to create this. You might work with a well known program like SolidWorks to create weapons/items, or you will work with proprietary software like a modified version of GTKRadiant. What really matters here is talent, not some paper from school. Although a degree is appreciated. I would sign up for one with detailed information, they really want someone who can code and debug quick, or someone who can come up with awesome ideas and designs. Epic Games even has a 8 year old doing stuff for them. Go for it man, tons of gaming studios out there
Damn ... And I, so hoped that the Rainbow Six Patriots will be released after, his announcement. Very sorry. Nevertheless, I hope Ubisoft Montreal will ever return to the development of the Patriots, again for me the Rainbow Six Patriots is a story that deserves attention !.
3:46 AM 1/3/2020 Didnt they cancel this game? Im not offended one bit if Patriots is about something. Ubisoft did a badass job with The Division when it came out. Im too old for these videogames now. For Honor is awesome too. My names Nick by the way but WHOEVER THAT IS thats writing the plots would already know that. If For Honor was ever a RTS game it should be Total War 3K. Im a viking player now no longer with the knights. For reals you helped me out with something cus I would never believe it one bit (Royal House of Windsor). THEY still screw with me.
Stupid open offices. Why can't you be able to sit in peace and quiet, like your own office or very shielded, so that you don't get disturbed by other workers walking by or talking? And if you need to communicate just go to that person?
hey Ubisoft my name is Shivam, I am a big fan of Assassin's Creed Series. And I dream of working with Ubisoft Montreal to work on this series. I saw a video about a person claiming to be an ex-ubisoft worker who said the condition of the game developers in no better than slaves. workers are over stressed and this and that. I hope that's not true. I am really passionate about games but I am not willing to sell my soul for it.
That's completely untrue. The only problem in working in massive development teams is that you are one of so many people working on a single game, you have to meet certain deadlines within certain dates, lower level employees sometimes tend to loose focus and motivation and ultimately give up. So this isn't a problem solely related to Ubisoft but also any other AAA company (rockstar, naughty dog, bethesda etc). But hey, more often than not this isn't the case. If you keep your motivations and focus intact, you'll do it great!
This studio's located in Montreal...not a terribly large population of black people living there. They account for about 7.7% of the total population. The population of Montreal is overwhelmingly European (esp. French) ancestry. And even among those individuals of black ancestry who do live there, you're not going to find a lot of game developers among them, given that just in general, you're not going to find game developers as a common occupation among most people. Thinking is not that hard.
Rainbow Six is horrible developed game... The game is full of problems even 2 years after but they are still taking money from players.. I hate Ubisoft (no morality no standards) disgusting c
Surf's up is one of my favourite games, thank you for making it :)
Someday I will be working at Ubisoft :) then I'll get back to this comment once I'm there.
Hopefully I'll meet you there!

Legend has it, that some people managed to take a tour there but got immediately assassinated after they left the building because they knew too much. Their bodies were never found.
Why does the people looks like they are being forced to work??
KeroGaming because the people are very stressed by work and can't even laugh
They practically are, shit pay, shit hours, shit management, shit contracts. Ubisoft is where creativity is in purgatory. EA is where it dies.
Definitely not shit pay

JChristian 25 a college education isn't needed most time, rather a portfolio of work. But a college degree is desirable.
