Apollo Creed would have schooled Lang. He did not decline to fight the verbally boisterous challenger. He simply ignored Lang as being a brute beneath his own tier. Clubber was more like that Foreman, and Gunn was more like Lyle... it'd be a slugfest but chances are, Lang would come out on top.
I wonder what effect Tommy's youth advantage would have? Early 20s compared to probably early 30s? (kind of just going with the actor Mr. T age since the movie does not really tell us how old he is supposed to be?).
I dont know. I think in the Rocky franchise we never see a Prime Creed. Creed was undefeated. Creed hinted at Rocky him losing because he lost his edge. It is likely an earlier Creed beats Drago by outmanuvering him. My guess this Creed would a bit more Mayweatherish, hard to catch but able to outscore and tire opponents out. I'm guessing a Prime Creed is too fast for Drago.
If you move into the world of fantasy, I'd like to suggest a cross world battle between Rand al'Thor and Melkor/Morgoth. So much lore there to form a simulation.
So… after watching this matchup it seems characters in the Rocky series would be ranked as follows based on who beat who. 1. Rocky 2.Drago 3.Creed 4.Lang 5. Gunn Ironically the number one contender for the title is the only one to have never held the world championship.
I agree with this. Clubber is very smart. He would go to Rocky's fight and study his style. That's why he beat Rocky so easy in there first fight, and even if Mick was in Rocky's corner, Clubber still would have won. But he does lack the ability to adapt and that is why he lost. I believe if there was a third fight, Clubber would have won. He is so driven that he would and worked on his stamina and would have studied Rocky's new style. He would have been ready if Rocky decided to switch again. Rocky's dead meat.
It would be really interesting if you go into the history of some of the characters that were made that Rocky fought you’ll find that Mickey was a boxer You’ll find people like big yank bull and so many other fighters in the game, Rocky legends it was an old PlayStation 2 game, but still won the best boxing games of its time a lot of history in those characters
Hell yeah, I want a modern rocky game. I’d like it if it was like ufc 5 controls and graphics but with boxing instead of mma. I would main mason dixon or tommy gunn. I can just imagine all those sweaty rocky balboa mains dominating in online mode 😂 why hasn’t this happened yet man, this game could put undisputed out of business, that game was supposed to be the boxing equivalent of the ufc games but it did terribly and is full of bugs and stupid features.
0:55 Nah you can’t have these fights based on the movie timeline. For these hypothetical scenarios they have to be at the age/skill level they were. 4:40 You can’t say Lang made a return to the ring “sharpening his skills and regaining his confidence”. When was the last time an undefeated boxer who was undisputed champ (I don’t remember if Rocky movies claim their champions were undisputed, which means they owned all 104 belts for their division. Seriously though there’s 4 and that’s 3 too many). Anyways, again, all these fighters have to be at their absolute peak. I mean prime Drago would’ve absolutely dog walked Tommy Gunn and definitely given him CTE after he actually offed Apollo Creed. But if you’re using the Rocky time line then obviously Tommy beats Drago, who was out of boxing and exiled to the Ukraine by the time the events of Rocky 5 transpired. So in my very humble opinion going forward I think you should have all these guys at their absolute best as we see them in the movies. Apollo Creed: Rocky 1 pre first fight with Rocky (the war they had in the first fight realistically would’ve taken a lot out of both of them). Clubber Lang: After his KO win during his first bout with Rock. Drago: After he literally took Apollo’s life although I think he was at his physical peak and likely overall peak training to prepare to fight Rocky. Tommy: Beating all the tomato cans he did after Rocky’s tutelage. Rocky: Definitely right before the Drago fight, no question about it. Adonis Creed: Similar to Rocky, even though he was older and not active before he fought Drago Jr, he was at his best when he faced Drago Jr.
Clubber Lang wins, he moved up in the rankings by actually beating the top contenders and he is the only without signs of visible damage after facing Rocky. Every other Rocky opponent was hurt and bleeding. The only advantage Gunn has over Rocky is age, maybe Clubber has some of that but Rocky was still in his prime.
The version of Tommy Gunn with Rocky Balboa in his corner gives Tommy a lot better odds of coming away with a W although Clubber Lang would still be a slight favorite
Just going to throw this out there to everyone predicting a Clubber squash. Yes it's true that Tommy lost to OLD Rocky.. but that was also a street fight. Remember... Rocky was down for the count before Micky's ghost came and told him he loved him lol. In an actual boxing match... that probably goes down as a KO victory for Gunn.
Another great Rocky Franchise Matchup. I agree Clubber would be too much for Gunn, although Gunn would p/u a good fight. Who would like to see some Mason Dixon Matchups now??
I would take Clubber in this one.. His level of trash talk would get inside Gunn's head and would have him making massive mistakes that one can't afford to make against someone who hits as hard as Lang..
This is a Rocky universe forum, there are plenty of real life TH-cam channels where you can argue for Tommy against Ali, Marciano, Tyson, Frazier and the rest. In the Rocky Universe, Tommy was probably below average as the producers needed a fictional character that was on Rocky’s retirement level.
@@chrisgrady4466 Dolph is a 3rd degree black belt and European kickboxing champion in 80-81. So he’s taken and delivered punches. He’s also big. It would be interesting.

Ask the fighters who fought the young George Foreman or Mike Tyson. They all thought if I could just survive the early rounds.... and most were sleep inside or 2 rounds.
@@alansteel And where did you get this From. I mean I highly Doubt a Man like Cane that beat Lang would go down to Someone like Tommy Gunn that quick.
@@robertrodriguez787 Why are you so in disbelief that one fictional character would beat another fictional character? They wrote the story that Tommy Gunn smoked the Cane and Cane beat Lang. And let's be honest, in real life that's how it would go too. Tommy Morrison has about 60 pounds and 5 inches on Mr. T. he would absolutely destroy the man if they ever stepped into the ring. Why is it so hard to believe the fictional characters they play are so different?
Crazy thing in real life Gunn would dominate almost all of the Rocky actors being a real boxer but in the movie he is a pretty much untested villian. He is less the larger than life villains of the previous franchise as Rocky being older so they went with a wet behind the ears boxer. Gunn with proper training could be great but he isn't on any of the earlier Rockys villains level. What about a Gunn vs Old Creed (who faced Drago). I think that would be Gunn's best chance at a win.

Clubber was more like that Foreman, and Gunn was more like Lyle... it'd be a slugfest but chances are, Lang would come out on top.
Clubber Lang vs Draggo would be interesting matchup
Why does the artwork of Drago and Tommy the same?
George Duke.. that character has to be modeled on Don King.
Next up: Union Cane vs. Thunderlips!!
BATMAN vs SPIDERMAN.😆
Go Clubber! As for Tommy, 'I pity the fool'.
Don't give me no back talk sucker .
I wonder what effect Tommy's youth advantage would have? Early 20s compared to probably early 30s? (kind of just going with the actor Mr. T age since the movie does not really tell us how old he is supposed to be?).
The masked marvel vs the unkown comic 😂
Who will win a fast Apollo Creed in his prime or Ivan Drago.
Drago will absolutely devastate any version of Apollo Creed
I dont know.
I think in the Rocky franchise we never see a Prime Creed.
Creed was undefeated. Creed hinted at Rocky him losing because he lost his edge. It is likely an earlier Creed beats Drago by outmanuvering him. My guess this Creed would a bit more Mayweatherish, hard to catch but able to outscore and tire opponents out. I'm guessing a Prime Creed is too fast for Drago.
I have had in the back of my mind Clubber coming back as something like George Foreman
Do who would win in a boxing match between 2Pac and DMX and another one of Kimbo Slice vs Ronda Rousey and Alice Braga.
If you move into the world of fantasy, I'd like to suggest a cross world battle between Rand al'Thor and Melkor/Morgoth. So much lore there to form a simulation.
So… after watching this matchup it seems characters in the Rocky series would be ranked as follows based on who beat who.
1. Rocky
2.Drago
3.Creed
4.Lang
5. Gunn
Ironically the number one contender for the title is the only one to have never held the world championship.
Sheriff John Harod vs. Sidebuster Lucas McCain.. This is a great match-up, and my pick would be the Rifleman Lucas.
I can just imagine all those sweaty rocky balboa mains dominating in online mode 😂
why hasn’t this happened yet man, this game could put undisputed out of business, that game was supposed to be the boxing equivalent of the ufc games but it did terribly and is full of bugs and stupid features.
Nice work. I think you need a Creed Vs Creed match.
i think tommy could win they way he beat union kane in rocky 5 for the title he could do the same to clubber lang
Tommy fights like Rocky and has power he would beat Clubber
Clubber hands down
Ya lang is big puncher had for someone to stand up to him. Con from Ireland 🇮🇪
THE CHAMP IS HERE ---> 8:40
The version of Tommy Gunn with Rocky Balboa in his corner gives Tommy a lot better odds of coming away with a W although Clubber Lang would still be a slight favorite
Also, Rocky was down for more than a 10 count. Had that been a boxing match he would have lost.
7:35 Tommy tags in Drago
Another great Rocky Franchise Matchup. I agree Clubber would be too much for Gunn, although Gunn would p/u a good fight. Who would like to see some Mason Dixon Matchups now??
Clubber Lang vs. Thunder Lips! LoL
I would take Clubber in this one.. His level of trash talk would get inside Gunn's head and would have him making massive mistakes that one can't afford to make against someone who hits as hard as Lang..
Now bring in Brad Pitt's character Mickey from the movie Snatch.
Maan when Tommy was starting to win, I'm like they're going to have Clubber lose a third time?! Lolll
When did he lose a second time?
@@geeebuttersnap2433 Lang lost to the guy that Tommy beat for the title.
Oddjob (Harold Sakata) vs Jaws (Richard Keil).
clubber outguns gunn
Clubber blasts Tommy out early. Tommy would try to jump on Clubber early and eat a few haymakers for his troubles.
In real life Tommy would knocked out al the rocky characters with ease
Not If it was a UFC fight, Dolph is a martial art expert.
This ain't real life though.
He would absolutely murder Dolph...Dolph is an actor and a scientist.. Tommy was a heavyweight boxing champion who took and delivered real punches
@@chrisgrady4466 Dolph is a 3rd degree black belt and European kickboxing champion in 80-81. So he’s taken and delivered punches. He’s also big. It would be interesting.
It's funny the people who say, "If you can survive the early rounds," as if no one else ever thought of that. The problem is you can't! Ask the fighters who fought the young George Foreman or Mike Tyson. They all thought if I could just survive the early rounds.... and most were sleep inside or 2 rounds.
What about Rocky 3 character V Rocky 4 character
He already did that video, Drago won,
Adonis Johnson vs Apollo Creed
Adonis Johnson vs Tommy Gun
Adonis Johnson vs Clubber Lang
Adonis Johnson vs Rocky Balboa
Adonis Johnson vs Ivan Drago
I meant Adonis Creed not Adonis Johnson
I agree Lang would win this fight. Also only about two years passed between the events of Rocky three and five.
Cluuber would have hurt Tommy real bad 😂😂
Lang was defeated by Union Cane over 15 rounds. Gunn knocked out Cane in round 1. Lang gets smoked easily.
@@alansteel And where did you get this From. I mean I highly Doubt a Man like Cane that beat Lang would go down to Someone like Tommy Gunn that quick.
Permanently
@@robertrodriguez787 google it, is is it really that hard? Rocky vacated the belt, Lang won it. Cane won it from Lang. Go look it up.
Rocky 5 shouldve had a Lang Vs Tommy fight ..
Who would get killed in a fight between Jason and Michael Myers?
I agree
