It actually come from the fact that whatever you guys say that India is undemocratic and all still we are a very tolerant and liberal society. We in our films can show real and brutal things without serious restrictions or consequences. That's why films like GOW, Mirzapur show and even more serious films like Black Friday can be made here. We treat movies just as movies. They are stories that need to be said.
Unlike pakistan which is sadly a very intolerant society. Even if there is a small kiss you guys have to censor it out or put a disclaimer. That's the main reason. Basically your society ain't open and tolerant enough for such art to be made.
