Thanks I learned a lot from this I got one of these off Marketplace for £25! virtually new condition, it's great. Yes it's a bit heavy, but you get used to it, and I know it sounds obvious, but learn to only be holding it when you are actually cutting ! the time saved due to the blade and the engine size, means I get the job done front and back in less than half the time of using an electric one, and the finished cut looks so much better !. Have had one issue when the blade stopped functioning, probably due to the blade tip being knocked back, so pushing the blades out of line, disengaging the drive to the blade. Was able to fix it, fiddly but only needed basic tools to complete it. As you say, if probably only likely to be run for domestic use max 2/3 hrs per summer, 'build quality' won't be an issue as long as you do basic maintenance as required.

Great review, Screwfix still the same price a year on too - bought Titan brand because I have a Titan chainsaw which I was happy with it!

People Knock the Titan Brand, and I know if money was no object I would buy Sthil gear! But I`ve had several Titan tools and for the price they are great! I think people miss use and try and do too much with power tools and pay the price! Shaun.

sitting outside screwfix somedays i noted that people who were returning items to the shop, for whatever reason, usually seem to be titans! now ive had my titan ttl531hdc about 5 yrs now and its been grand, but now need to replace the fuel lines as they are leaking around the holes where they enter the base of the petrol tank. doesnt seem to be as easy access as my other better tools.

I`ve been using this hedge trimmer full on recently, and its a beast!
I used to have a Titan strimmer, which was great but not for the kind of use I gave it!
A lot of people buy the cheaper brands, expecting them to be just as good as the more contractor standard of tools! And thinking they can do miracles with them. Combined with lack of proper use ,care and maintenance they are bound to fail.
Also the major brands of DIY adverts on the TV, lead people into a false sense of ability.
You very rarely see someone cutting their Lawn for the first time in Spring, with a little Flymo, and if they are its the size of a postage stamp.
The right tool for the right job. That`s what I say.
      Right! That`s my rant over.
      Shaun.

Great video and thank you for all the information shared!!! I wanted to ask you if you are satisfied with your purchase and I am also curious about the cutting diameter (capacity) it can support. I am happy to hear it has a 28 mm width between the teeth, since I am looking for something that can cut a bit thicker hedges than usual. But I read its manual and it says that the cutting diameter should not exceed the 20 mm, soI got a bit disappointed. Have you tried to cut branches that have a diameter larger than 20 mm and how well did it handle them? I understand that it is not its job to cut large pieces of wood, but I occasionally get across thick branches in my hedge and I want to know if it can handle them. Thank you

Hi, I am very happy with this machine, especially the rotating handle. As for the Cutting thickness of the blade, I can`t remember what it said in the book, but when I used it there were one or two thicker stems that I had to cut with the big pruners! Not sure of the size, but I think you will find its the same with all hedge trimmers. After all, they only have a 2 stroke engine. But out of all the trimmers I have used, including a few of other peoples, this is by far the best especially for the money. Hope this helps, Shaun.

i use the hawksmoor battery range. very good but this titan trimmer is my go to when tackling leylandii. that long blade makes a big difference. heavy machine but does the job well.

I don`t know that brand! But this trimmer is the best for the money! Obviously, if money was no object, I would go for s Stihl. But im more than happy with mine! Im surprised at what it will cut to be honest, its a beast!.

Still going strong as ever, and i was even using it to shred seaweed! Ive sharpened the blade and greased it up, and always spray the blade with wd40 before putting it away! It was a great buy!

Exactly! if you use the tool for the job its designed to do, and look after it, they should last ages!

I love mine! I`ve really put it to work. As long as you look after it and oil and grease it as required. I use it not only for the usual jobs but for shredding Seaweed too.

@@BestUserNameUK There is that! It all depends on how much you have to use it! For me its not so often, but the length and power make it great for what I need! If cash was no object, it would be a different story for sure! lol
