I’m happy to see some nice footage. But this is a pretty random collection of images. The rally promoter should go look at the quality of what Liberty are doing with F1 on TH-cam. That’s how you build your fan base.
Would have won 97 and 01 if he was more conservative but then again that’s the complete opposite of what McRae stood for still fantastic talent if in doubt flat out 👊
I watch Rally videos from time to time, like once in years with tennis or ping pong when i'm that bored. 2019 i discover all cars are the same, and i fall asleep after 10 minutes watching them driving pretty much the exact same way. They're incredibly precise, powerfull and all, but it seems again perfection can be boring, with no taste, and no surprise. The interior views though, i feel like in Wipeout doing impossible things, those cars and pilots are from another world. But yeah, those old races were the real thing.
It doesn't matters how "perfect" the cars are: human drivers will never catch perfection, but they can and must work very, very hard to get as close as possible to it. Modern WRC is just a different game than Group B and such: now you don't have to drive uncontrollable cars, but now you can and must be faster and as precise as possible than never before. That is terribly hard to do - and while that may not be that spectacular for the casual watcher, it's amazing for the real racing fan, for those that know at least a little bit how hard is to get that work done.
I dont agree. Group B was definitely more fun to watch, same with cars like Evo or Impreza but I doubt if you ever watched any F1 race. Thats the real 'driving pretty much the same way' as you said. WRC is full of action compared to this.

Rest in peace GROUP B 😢🔥
Great footage of past and present, although the editing could be way better (in my opinion)!
I'm with you. Editing is rough, but the conversion is the best I've ever seen from videotapes. Superb quality in that dept.
Did the apprentice edit this?
Richard Burns and Colin McRae were my childhood heroes.
If WRC was on TV in the USA I'd still be watching it.
Well you could watch Red Bull TV, they got pretty good highlights.
Same for me mate but I am from India
Bad editing but great video
Group B was the best
CrucianiF_87 fast on acceleration but thats about it. I prefer the cars of today.
@@TheLeewi98 I prefer Group B anytime anyday over those modern granny hatchbacks.
@@Darthadios these modern day cars are so much faster its not even a competition.
Editing?
Ari Vatanen...Timo Salonen...R. Burns..Didi..Colin....great times of group B and A...
Manca uno dei più veloci e grandi in assoluto: MARKKU ALEN.
Love
Loved group A
Nice video idea but it’s kinda blasphemous of the editor to cut off Walter Röhrl like that ;)
The best Subaru driver ever was Colin McRae
Erick Colbert
Wasnt really him that created it 😅
Would have won 97 and 01 if he was more conservative but then again that’s the complete opposite of what McRae stood for still fantastic talent if in doubt flat out 👊
Awesome thanks
