I have an idea, I heard many people say that it would be nice to add a perk that allows you not to cough on choke bombs, but having it all the time would be very op, How about a consumable that allows you to do that? I think it fits the theme of the game if they added a cigarette which, when smoked, gives you a buff like stamina, but black instead of yellow, and this allows you to not cough on choke bombs by a short time
i think a new pistol that would be interesting is a Colt buntline, 2 slot, posibly scoped pistol with a very long barrel, would not be meta but coooooool
what do you think about removing a little bit clutter from the traits section? like merging the scopesmith traits the iron traits the steady traits and making some of the real niche ones built in by default like dewclaw, hundred hands and bolt thrower. also some traits are so niche or kinda obsolete that they should get a major rework like adrenaline and hornskin. and bulwark mostly is just there to screw bomb lance and explosive bolt players over which are still only niche picks.
do we ask these questions on TH-cam or Reddit? if i knew you where doing one if these i would have LOVE to ask "should we have more game modes in hunt" as i made a post on reddit a bit ago and its really split
Do you think paradox chokes could help with the slug shotgun issue. Like make paradox chokes a version for certain shotguns which gives them access to slugs and no other special ammo and then remove slugs from non paradox guns. that way you can balance the paradox guns on their own without affecting the rest. Atm it seems like slugs are just a plain upgrade over buckshot especially with the lying reticle and the unreliable nature of them.
I think that the perks for remaining in iron sights and scopes need to be consolidated. There should just be one "remain in iron sights" perk and one "remain in scope" perk that covers all weapon types. The current system feels like it discourages weapon exploration and makes your character feel "stuck" to one specific gun.
I feel like instead of all iron sights and all scopes, it should be based on the method of cycling. So, have a repeater one that works on all lever action weapons regardless of ironsight and scope, and a bolt action one that works on all bolt action guns regardless of ironsights or scope. Theoretically if one knows how to cycle a particular weapon, I doubt the scope type changes that action.
They possibly add the distinction to reward specialization. If it was just always cycle ads then that perk would be a 100%pick vs they make the current ones cheap. Also not like that hunter is gonna last long. But I do agree with Hendorne, if you can cycle a weapon aiming it scope or nope dosent mater as much
I think I'd much rather have all the scopes consolidated together AT THE LEAST. sniper, marksmen, dead eye are all the same thing just different intensity of zoon ~.~ (or alternativly just murge the respecting ironsight ones to include the scope variants too as yall said) but ya. no reason not to murge a few together...after all, look at pump jockey, and that one worked out just fine with its murger.
I've been asking for a compact ammo pump action rifle to compete the with the winfield for so long, its great to finally see more people mention the idea hopefully crytek will hear our pleas.
@Not PC Even just a full length compact choice that isn't a carbine or a winfield would be nice honestly. I HATE how the winfield sounds and feels, If they made another weapon as good that just sounded better/felt fun to use I would use it a lot. Especially if it was cheap. The base winfield sounds like a toy and I hate it.
@Not PCFor compact ammo rifles we have a dozen Winfields that are mostly the same, and a half dozen stocked pistols that are mostly the same, and only the Winfields have any applicable perks - all but the Nagant Deadeye have no perks to improve them. Variety is nice, even if there is overlap, like with the Lebel/Krag/Mosin/Ironside families filling very similar roles. It also gives some more use to Iron Devastator, which only works with 2 shotguns using 1 specific special ammo, while Iron Repeater/Iron Sharpshooter each work with half a dozen or more guns and benefit all ammo types.
@Not PC But you can run a pump action rifle with a pump shotgun with Iron Devastator and have more options if you don't want to run it with a shotgun. There are a few medium slot secondaries with HV, the problem with HV is it only works on guns with sealed chambers. They can have all the goofy fictional weapons they want but its important to stick to certain lines of logic, compliments nicely with the wackiness.
@Not PC If you want to run HV, don't use medium ammo? See how I can flip that around, dingaling? I like pump action shotguns but not everyone does. With your logic none of the 7 weapons should have been added these last two updates. If you want HV on a sidearm they would have to introduce a new medium ammo pistol with a gas sealed cartridge. I'd be down for that but there aren't many examples of gas sealed revolvers let alone pre modern ones.
the colt lightning also needs to have an open bolt to access the mag bc of how the elevator works. It would be a great cheap way for newer Hunters to be introduced to cycle canceling. And be the first 3 slot that can benefit from bullet grubber for med or compact
ya. thats what I was thinking. it would be a great option. would shoot faster and probly have better ADS stats. but has the partial reload popout (if you dont cycle cancel) and even if you partial or full reload. you still have to recycle the gun. meaning its reload times would be much longer than the winnycenti or veterli. I think its a good balance compared to the other medium rifles. makes it the fastest of the 3 but have the worst reload.
The argument FOR bomblance bolt thrower is that steel ball has no pen, higher spread, costs six times as much, and is unlocked really late in the BL progression. It's essentially a romero sidegrade that costs like 130 hunt bucks and three trait points more. edit: Also, MBTI types are horoscope signs for tech bros.
apropos a new weapon niche I think a 2 slot fannable weapon would be a great addition. Something like a pax buntline would probably work, with just a longer barrel but no stock
Thought the same thing, and I never checked, but I always felt like the little hand crossbows reload time definitely _doesn't_ get halved from bolt thrower, it just gets a bit faster, as you suggest for the bomb lance.
correct me if I am wrong but levering on ironside wouldn't work since instead of the lever action pushing the rounds in the chamber it is just gravity based and you can already basically shoot as soon as the lever is up, which goes up as soon as the round falls into the chamber. for winfields you can cycle the rounds as fast as you can lever
Also, normal lever-action rifles have closed-loop levers, the Martini is only closed on the bottom side, so you can't pull it up that easily. Martini is as much a lever-action rifle as Sparks is.
The way the levering works on the ironside though, I don't think levering as an action is viable for it anyways. I don't know if you are anyone has ever fired a martini carbine before, or seen how those weird little levers they had worked; but unlike a winchester rifle they actually needed a good amount of force and most people just change their grip and grab them to pull anyways; it's REALLY hard to fire one anywhere close to how you could levering a winchester irl. So I think the Ironside not getting levering makes total sense tbh. It should, however, be allowed to use Iron repeater at least. There is no reason it shouldn't; and this would actually solve the big issue I have with how it handles.
I haven’t really thought about it, but you’re 100% right, I HATE fighting at Alain and sons. Now that I think about it, I’ve never had a fight that was enjoyable there. It always feels…dirty…in a bad way. I also agree with the bomblance. I run the bomblance a shit load, I’ve hit 6 star using nothing but the bomblance. You do not want a bomblance main to get bolt thrower. It would end up so dominant.
Not a gun nut so I don't know what guns existed that fit this, but a niche that isn't currently filled in Hunt is semi-auto (or double action) rifles (outside of the officer carbine). I'm sure they'd be very expensive and unwieldy, and maybe even special ammo, but it would be nice I think
What variants do you think the Winfield Slate & Crown and King could have? My thoughts are for duckbill variants that have different duckfoot spray patterns to usual
I feel like slate bayonet is a must have considering it's use in WW1. Duck bill could be cool. Crown and King could have a compact version (imagine the spread lol). Even though silencers weren't really a thing I think having one silenced shotgun would be cool so I could channel my inner Anton Chigur) I feel like having a suppressor on a Crown or slate would be too op. Maybe a sledge variant on the Crown. Honestly tho the Duck Bill idea sounds the best. Would be really cool to see a brand new variant be introduced
Not even done watching the video but I can agree with you Alain & Sons. That place is a fortress if a team gets there and kills a boss before an enemy team joins in. Yet funny enough, one of my favorite matches comes from a situation where the entire server fought one another on the outside of that map. My team was just starting to fight the boss there when another team rushed in from the lumber mill, and then the rest of the sever followed. We all ended up fighting across the outside of the main building and maybe occasionally going in to chip at the boss. I think the fight ended with me trading my last chunk with the last enemy player and getting bounty revived by my teammates.
What do you think of a Bomblance ammo type that is essentially a harpoon on a string? I would imagine it works by shooting out a single harpoon and when you reload you crank it back into place. Basically making it infinite ammo but I don't think it would be very powerful (maybe around 50 - 75 damage). The power comes from the reload. If you hit someone with it and reload it would pull them toward a short distance you and knock them prone. I can imagine how funny it would be to have someone peaking you on a roof or through a window and you pull them down to their doom.
I want the 1893 mondragon straight pull rifle. it has an alternative fire mode that fires a shot every time the rifle is cycled manually without pulling the trigger.
2:30 i could make a list of period weapons which can be useful but i think your suggestion is good. i imagine it as a cheap compact ammo rifle with the capacity close to Winfield 1873. another idea i have is the Spencer 1860 which is a wild west classic having the coll feature of loading from the back and being a very early repeater being able to fit as a cool medium ammo rifle
A bolt action shotgun could be interesting as an alternative to the Alamo, but I can't think of any 19th century bolt action shotguns to base one off of. Maybe a revolving shotgun like the Roper? Or a medium ammo straight pull rifle like the Lee Navy?
I'd love for Crytek to add the Remington Model 8, a semi-automatic rifle with a capacity of 5+1. I picture it being a medium ammo rifle with a neutered ammo supply like with the Krag. it's faster fire rate would have the trade off of a more recoil and in addition you would need bulletgrubber to not lose a bullet during a reload
@@PedroHenrique-dh3bq The Auto 5 (Crown and King) started production in 1898, the Model 8 in 1905. Patents were even granted for the Model 8 in 1900... Perhaps a tiny bit of a stretch for the game's time period, but only a few years off. One could argue that the Avtomat is in the game, which is only based on a real prototype for another rifle and basically a work of fantasy in this setting, so anachronism isn't bad. On the other hand, stretch the time period forward just a few years more, and we'd get the 1911, which is basically a modern-day pistol.
Winchster/winfield 1890 Pumpactionrifle in .22 , so u would have a small caliber hunting rifle with 15 rounds capacity , a high rate of fire (60-70RPM) and a lower damage of 80-90
Speaking of that, I think it'd be really cool to have a slamfire trait for pump action weapons. A slamfire trait with a pump action rifle would make sense, put it on par with a winfield and levering and it'd make a slate or specter even faster.
Funny, I pretty much completely disagree with the favourite/hated compound choices. I think Alain is fun because I like to besiege compounds and there are a lot of ways to get up to the lair. Once you're there, it's usually kinda over for them, they can't guard all the doors and windows at once. Fishery, meanwhile, is always really annoying. There's basically no cover outside AND it's right in the middle of the map so it's third-party central. All of the entrances to the lair are easily defended from the inside, you don't really need to pick and choose which door to guard. That said, I think Alain could use some tweaks. One change that I'd like to see is just make that elevator lift inside the lair functional. Make it go down to the muddy floor and up to the first or top floor.
I don't know if that'd provide any meaningful data, considering that bosses force players to go to compounds regardless. I can't imagine that that many people give up on a boss just because approaching the compound is slightly annoying.
@@corombb Pretty sure that happened a lot before the first wave of map reworks. I've seen a lot of people say that if the boss was banished at cypress huts for example, they just wouldn't bother. Those compounds were anecdotally also very safe for boss rushing, people almost never came in my experience.
@@Scapegoat-po2ou yeah but I would guess that the vast majority of people leaving is due to the boss being in a corner and the extracts being next to them. They should somehow make it less likely for a boss to be in the same area as an extract
I would really like to see the Von Steiger revolver. It's a double-action revolver with a gas ejection system for empty bullet casings. It would be a solid double-action medium ammo option that would compete with the spitfire by having a faster rate of fire, but it only holds 5 rounds as one chamber needs to remain empty because of the gas ejection port.
It's kinda wild how it's probably easier to balance a full auto LMG like the avtomat vs something like a mondragon or a winchester 1905. Long ammo semi auto sounds pretty op. But idk maybe they can balance it. Since their is clearly time passing in universe it's also questionable if they will stick to their cutoff date. I personally would like too see some more variety outside of firearms. Another bow, either a fast horsebow or something like a manchu or english longbow with a lot of power could be cool. Maybe a sort of shuriken as a throwing weapon where you throw a handfull each throw kinda like a throwing weapon shotgun with less dmg and range than a throwing knife.
It’s completely understandable when you consider IRL how darn significant the production of semi auto rifles were when they got mass issued, as now individuals could compensate for bad aim with spam.
How about another single-shot medium rifle? Do we have a place for that? Like a little bit more premium gun than springfield - rolling block for example. FMJ, HV, maybe some sniper versions. Or aperture. I just really want a medium ammo gun with aperture in the game.
If you're looking at Martini Henry Ironside from a realism perspective the lever action couldn't be levered in quite the same way. Maybe they could make the animation slower but the reload action being outside the gun makes it less of a thing irl. To clarify I'm all for games not going the realism route but it's just a thought.
I personally love the less competitive weapons in the game. I think a spot that could use work is the medium damage blunt weapons. Only the obrez mace and shovel heavy attack is in that boat. Would a small slot club be a good addition to the game? I think so. Maybe enough to two hit an immolator or light attack one hit a grunt.
It would be interesting. Though, I wonder what kinds of advantages it ought to have? I suppose since a second hand is basically necessary, it could have a faster ADS fire rate than the single actions, though that would raise the question of why our hunters aren't using their second hand to cock their revolvers between shots, lol.
For revolvers, how about a Galland revolver? It was a six shot double-action with a unique reloading mechanism that ejects all of your casings similar to a Schofield, but the unfired ones stay in (because the loaded bullets are longer). If you look it up, someone in the Hunt community made 3D fan art for it already. If you want a less interesting design, the British Webley RIC and the Bulldog version of it was the most common European handgun in the Old West for quite a while. It was a simple 6-shot double-action design but it did not have a swing-out cylinder like the Colt New Army so loading was slower. Other than that, I mostly just want more variants of guns we already have. Springfield bayonet, Vetteli musket (extended mag), Winfield Slate Trench (bayonet) and Lebel Infantry (bayonet). These all seem easy enough to implement without taking much resources and time to make.
about the ironside. Its technically a lever action yes but its lever works differently than normal lever action due to the mag and modified mechanic (saw in a video of a gun expert) It could kinda work but it would end up in jams or probably even breaking the improvised action soooo my answer to it is: No (it might still be a funny thing though) (ironside already stays in sight during rechambering anyway)
What if instead of using clues to locate a roaming boss you gather 3 to summon the boss since it's not in a fixed area, making the summoning take a bit of time similar to performing a dark ritual of some kind making it dangerous as it can be heard from a distance.Would also cause to use new tactics when thinking of going after this boss
For a new weapon I'd like a 1 slot pistol shotgun with maybe the spread of a Caldwell rival for no other reason than it would be fun to have one in the game even if it would be garbage. Or maybe a more interesting and viable option would be a howdah pistol which were high caliber pistols that generally had anywhere from 2 to 4 barrels, I think the 1 gap we don't have filled yet is the niche that the Caldwell rival fills for shotguns, 2 powerful shots in super quick succession but with a long reload, I would like to see something like this concept explored for pistols.
There's a bunch of guns from the Red Dead Redemption games that they could add. Such as the Henry repeating rifle, the Evans repeating rifle, the Spencer Model 1865 Carbine, the Remington Rolling Block rifle, the the Volcanic pistol, a lasso so you troll your friends. Oh and they should change the stamina shot to a bottle of whisky instead. And the vitality shot could be a cigarette I guess.
I would quite like to see a new standalone melee weapon, namely the goedandag, a club like weapon with a metal cap on one end sporting a thick armor piercing spike. I imagine it could fill the medium slot to give some competition to the combat axe and have a blunt damage light attack with a piercing heavy that has higher damage than the cavalry saber / bayonets
What I really want to see is the Lee Navy rifle. It would be a compact ammo bolt action, could be used with iron sharpshooter, and would fill its own little niche :)
I feel there is still space for a long ammo lever action rifle (winchester 1895 seems like a no-brainer), possibly with a shortened mid-size version since there should be an alternative to the Obrez. Also a medium ammo pistol or mid-size rifle with high velocity ammo.
I'd like a main slot pepperbox pistol or even a carbine variant, faster shooting than the officer, bigger ammo pool, shared ammo with the derringer, dual wield capability, affordable, low recoil. It would make a great gun for skins and not break the meta while expanding on the micro ammo guns.
-I want a 3-slot spear that outranges bomb lance. Maybe throwable with Tomahawk. -I want more ways to trap, so a frag mine similar to a frag arrow on a trip would be cool. -A club is still lacking. Just gimme a stick! Or an axe-handle blank! Or a wagon tongue! Donkey jaw...? -Idk how it would fit, honestly, but the APACHE PEPPERBOX is really cool. Maybe its blade breaks off and becomes just brass knuckles, or maybe it's a pistol with 3 modes to switch between (two of which are melee). -You made the point that you like using weapons that are hard to use. Me too! Make us some more crappy weapons. Addle-addles, weighted bolos which ensnare more than damage, a bug/poison-based weapon that does small damage at first but does massive damage if left for 5 seconds, a more-dangerous PvP sticky bomb. Thanks for being a man of the people, HomeSnacks! Last thought: I like Darrow and Weeping Stone the best. The level changes and rotations allowed in Darrow are awesome, the barrels always play into the fight, and the boss lair is nicely segmented, perforated, and fun inside and out. Weeping's new lower level is an awesome addition to a cool compound.
Pickaxe handle for your club. Still used as an improvised weapon around the world to this day, and evokes classic gold-rush imagery. But fuck traps, and people who use them
for the first question, i think i would like a stick with a sharp blade at the end that could be a medium slot weapon... Oh wait that already exists and i think you should do a video on the axe
I think a pump action rifle would be very interesting if it used the same ammo as the quad derringer, allowing you to carry an enormous amount of quickly loaded ammo, and would benefit a secondary melee weapon.
I feel if Ironside were to be given levering, it would need to require iron repeater to stay in ironsights while rechambering. If we're gonna treat it like a levergun, we should treat it both ways.
Pump shotguns need a rapid fire trait. All pump action shotguns back in this time could be slam fired, allowing you to keep your finger on the trigger and fire as fast as you can cycle another round into the chamber
I really wanna see more kinky melee weapons added. Similar to the bomb lance. Right now the BL stands out in its own category of funkiness and I think it's a fertile area to explore
Yesh! I had the idea of a metal/metal-reinforced blowpipe a while ago, shooting poison darts, with which you could also melee whack, like a baton. Would also be really noice to carry that in a loadout on one of the native skins, thematically. Especially La Luz Mala, obviously. And we need more blunt melees imho!
to be honest Alain just needs more bridges and some replacing of stairs and else what i would overall like to keep it but definetly connect it a little more
How about an 8-inch version of some of the hunt showdown revolvers, which gives them higher muzzle velocity ? so u can use any type of ammo and have higher muzzle velocity. it only makes sense on revolvers without high velocity ammo.
I think as long any rifle/pistol being suggested is of any unique repeating mechanism than what is in the game now, where it be a pump, lever, bolt or single shot, most will be viable to make it into the game. There will def. be some niche or spot to fulfill. Oh and not many seems to like anymore semi-automatics of any kind to enter the game (which I have no idea why, considering the Auto 5 shotgun is in anyway) This pump action rifle is def. one of them. Other weapons that can be considered are the Volcanic Pistol, Spencer Rifle, the Colt Revolving Rifle, Howdah Pistol and the Hotchkiss Winchester Rifle.
We need a c96 Mauser Carbine. An ammo type that would be cool is normal harpoons for the bomblance. Basically a supercharged crossbow with far less accuracy, range and a higher reload.
I'd like to see a dedicated small slot shotgun that can be dual-wielded. Something that's more powerful and cost effective then the Lematt. A consumable, single shot shotgun, that's discarded after use, would be an interesting addition.
While were talking about the Bomb Lance, I'm still salty they missed the mark with Dragons Breath. It's universally agreed that DB is a waste on all other shotguns, so putting it on the Lance was stupid. What I would have LOVED, was making DB shoot a fire bomb out that explodes on impact and lights a small area on fire for about 5-10 seconds. It would have had great potential for even short term area denial so you can rotate around and charge in from an entrance you've not blocked off, cutting off escape routes from the melee or team push.
Home had me doubting my game sense for a minute there when he mentioned Fish and Sons well fighting at Reeker, i had to open a map an make sure i wasnt crazy
The Colt Lightning makes the most sense to add to the game when you combine the forces of "what niche does the game still need?", "what gun would make sense, historically speaking, to add to the game?", and "what gun would be worth adding while not being blatant power creep?". I'd personally make it Compact ammo, with access to Dumdum and Poison ammo at release, with a RoF somewhere in between the Winfield and the Nagant Officer Carbine - maybe even pull an old Crytek move and make its RoF with Iron Devastator while ADS abnormally good, a la the Lebel Marksman with Marksman Scopesmith. The Colt Lightning would also, considering how its mechanism works in real life, benefit from Bulletgrubber. So on top of everything else, it'd be a Compact ammo rifle that you could cycle-cancel reload. Other than that, I could maybe see a double-barrel rifle added to the game, but there really aren't any real life guns that would fit the game balance-wise; Within the time period that Hunt pulls its weapons from, there were really only "Long Ammo" double rifles. And I think most would agree that the game really doesn't need any more Long Ammo guns at this point, especially not one that would in many ways just be a straight upgrade from the Sparks or Martini. The Volcanic pistol would be over 40 years old by the time Hunt takes place, and its internal mechanism had been improved and iterated on many times in that span of time. It was also quite underpowered compared to anything currently in the game. So there's absolutely no reason to add it to the game. I've also seen people mention the Remington Model 8, which makes some sense considering its parallel development to the Browning Auto 5 - the Crown and King in Hunt. But the game really doesn't need a Long Ammo semi-auto rifle that can be reloaded with a stripper clip. That gun couldn't be added to the game without being extremely toxic power creep. The Martini Ironside wouldn't benefit from Levering, mechanically speaking. The animation currently in game is already going basically as fast as the gun can cycle. When you operate the locking lever, the time between shots is constrained by how long it takes gravity to pull a cartridge from the top of the magazine into the loading chute. And unlike "normal" lever action rifles, cycling the locking lever doesn't automatically place your character's index finger at the trigger. The gun is already barely believable as a functioning firearm. Levering is taking it a bit too far. IMO what the game actually needs is more 2-slot guns that don't suck, more guns with melee weapons attached that don't suck, and hopefully more "weird/novel" sorts of weapons like the Bomblance.
one variant I can see being added would be for the springfield 1866 would be the addition of a magainze, There is a protype of an actual trap door rifle that has a tublar magainze like the lebels. Wouldnt be the first time of a single shot weapon being converted to have a magazine in the game. I.e the romero and the martini. Even though there are a ton of long ammo rifles in the game the next one is most likely gonna be a winfield 1895.
I think a bornheim silencer. Its the only other weapon which technically has a closed action compared to the revolvers and it would give me some serious spy/secret agent/assassin vibes :D
I will put the question's shortened first, then my reasoning below: Does Hunt miss having an animation when the Ai bodies despawn? _ So i understand the whole deal of enemies bodies disappearing, both for performance and gameplay reasons, but it always felt gamey to me how they just “pop” out, i kinda of wished there was a little bit like in old Resident evil 4 where they kind of melt into a yellow thing and then dissapear quickly. I play hunt showdown on a 2GB video card so i am almost on the not running the game group, so I guess a solution that would not make my pc suffer and me by association. == What you think about Hunt Showdown having a “dynamic toggle/hold aiming” --- have no idea what is the name of that, so I just made it up and an explanation below In the game Adaca if you press and hold the aiming button after a period of maybe one or half second, if you left take your finger off, the character stops aiming but if you just click once, is the same as toggle aiming, you don’t need to hold the weapon for it. The reason I found this interesting, in the case of Hunt, is that ever since i followed some tips about toggling instead of holding my aiming button, I got a lot better on aiming and i do like it way more but i still have problems with shotguns and overall “snap shot” shooting with them or just close range, like shooting, stop aiming, and move, what sometimes happened, i do a quick melee, or takes sometime to actual move or go aiming and down weapon and aiming again in my desperation in the moment. Maybe I need more practice, but doing that in Adaca, felt wonderful, and in that game works but is also don’t do hip aiming exactly, is more like a Halo or Half Life in that way, only some weapons you can aim down for minor zoom or for a joke, so I could not get a good reference of how it would work with Hunt. So i wondered if this could work for this problem that I was having (and maybe other people), or it would bring more trouble that not even growing pains with it could solve it. == Thanks for your work, got to learn a fair bit with those videos, especially the door movement to close and open them.
Biggest issue with the BL is that bulwark will save you from a 1 shot. Not only is the bomlances harpoon range awful, it also doesnt make sense for a whole stick of dynamite being lodged inside of you then exploding and you live through it. I understand it for xplo xbow but not a lance
How about Winchester M1895? This one was designed for Russian army based on Mosin rifle ammo. Wich means we can handle a long ammo rifle with iron repeater but vertical ammo capacity, not a tube (like other Winchester rifles). I guess it must be compatible with Bulletgrubber and Levering but for sure with a slow fire rate.
I personally would like to see a meat cleaver skin for the throwing axe. My personal favorites for map compound fights would probably have to be Weeping Stone Mill, Lawson Station and perhaps Port Reeker, with Wolfshead Arsenal and Arden Parish following. The only compound that I really dislike fighting at would be Pearl Plantation. My mbti the last time I took a test for it designated me as an INTP personality type. Cheers.
Would like some pictures on screen when your talking about specific guns or compounds. You talk about some compounds would be nice to actually look at it. Then the box of the martini, maybe some gameplay footage of it in action would be appropriate
I stillt think that a quickdraw varient for the Caldwell with lower bullet velocity worse sights but very fast draw and ADS speed with slightly better hipfire in regular and with hammering!
I'd love to see a revolving rifle. And no, I am not talking about another carbine revolver, I mean the real deal Edit: Also a Harmonica Gun would be fun too
Levering on the Martini Ironside wouldn't actually work. The ammo box on the side of the rifle uses a gravity feed to drop a round in the Martini's breech, levering faster would just prevent the rifle from feeding properly.
It would be cool if they added a different Brand Lever Action Rifle like maybe a Henry or a Marlin but make them a medium ammo or compact ammo also a new sparks variant like the Carbine version or an appiture version
I'd love to see a long barrel pax, they could even make one of them scoped as another variant,I'd like to see the ability to slam fire the slate and specter as an alternative to levering on the terminus. I'd love them to change the Avto to special ammo to break the synergy with sparks and upper pairs, and change nitro dum dum as it's far to strong for a little inconvenience, high 5/6 star lobby's are an utter chore right now with so many sweaty power weapon teams
I've been saying for years the Bomblance needs Bolt Thrower applied to it. Its a great weapon but it will never be anywhere close to meta even with the trait, the reload would still be painfully slow even if it was made faster. Bomblance is really only reliably viable backed up with fanning or a double action pistol. People are rarely careless enough to enter melee range in high skill lobbies.
If any pistol should be added right now (besides a pax variant, of course) it should be the Remington Army. Of course, just making it a conversion model would be not too far off of making another conversion pistol. So, what would be way cooler, is if it was a percussion cap gun. This would put it into its own little niche, where it has the stats and handling of a compact pistol, but also has the benefit of a fairly quick, full cylinder reload, similar to the Scottfield Swift. It would also, of course, have the benefit of cheapness which the other compact pistols have, giving it another reason to be picked over the Swift. The downsides with the gun would of course be the low muzzle velocity, and the inability to do partial reloads, in comparison with its closest competitor, the conversion pistol.

I have an idea, I heard many people say that it would be nice to add a perk that allows you not to cough on choke bombs, but having it all the time would be very op,
How about a consumable that allows you to do that? I think it fits the theme of the game if they added a cigarette which, when smoked, gives you a buff like stamina, but black instead of yellow, and this allows you to not cough on choke bombs by a short time
i think a new pistol that would be interesting is a Colt buntline, 2 slot, posibly scoped pistol with a very long barrel, would not be meta but coooooool
what do you think about removing a little bit clutter from the traits section?
like merging the scopesmith traits the iron traits the steady traits and making some of the real niche ones built in by default like dewclaw, hundred hands and bolt thrower.
also some traits are so niche or kinda obsolete that they should get a major rework like adrenaline and hornskin.
and bulwark mostly is just there to screw bomb lance and explosive bolt players over which are still only niche picks.
do we ask these questions on TH-cam or Reddit?
if i knew you where doing one if these i would have LOVE to ask
"should we have more game modes in hunt"
as i made a post on reddit a bit ago and its really split
But I do agree with Hendorne, if you can cycle a weapon aiming it scope or nope dosent mater as much
I agree just so my legendary hunters never get fucking sniper scopesmith ever again.
@@FlippyisSlippy amen
I think I'd much rather have all the scopes consolidated together AT THE LEAST. sniper, marksmen, dead eye are all the same thing just different intensity of zoon ~.~ (or alternativly just murge the respecting ironsight ones to include the scope variants too as yall said)
but ya. no reason not to murge a few together...after all, look at pump jockey, and that one worked out just fine with its murger.
@Not PC If you start complaining that gun with a completly different type of action are redundants, i don't think we'll ever see a new gun in hunt.
Yeah, steel balls would be more like penny shot.
And has to be resupplied with special crates and stores far less ammo total than romero. Those are not insignificant downsides.
@@TheIANmo0ne yup, absolutely
I think that gun working on a pressed air would be interesting, silence, special ammo.
great idea, like the tikhar from the metro series
Girardoni air rifle. Now that would be a worthwhile addition.
One shot headshot of course
I've been wanting a pump action rifle in Hunt for so long. Just to give iron devastator a better use than just for slugs

I'd love to see them add the Winchester 1895. Long ammo lever action. Would need bulletgrubber for it.
@@c0lt_474 it's an internal magazine fed gun, like the mosin - you need to open the action to put more rounds in as well
Home reel been dropping some bangers the past 2 weeks
apropos a new weapon niche I think a 2 slot fannable weapon would be a great addition. Something like a pax buntline would probably work, with just a longer barrel but no stock
With the bolt thrower/bomb lance question they could just cause the reload to be decreased by 2ish seconds. Make it faster but not too fast.
Nixa, we demand it. Let me hold left click
@@HomeReel 😤
Quiet with your logic....just let me send out fully automatic explosive ammo
Also, normal lever-action rifles have closed-loop levers, the Martini is only closed on the bottom side, so you can't pull it up that easily. Martini is as much a lever-action rifle as Sparks is.
@@frajecz good point
Was the clips for Alain and Son’s at Port Reeker or is it just me? 4:02
the gameplay is just random clips in my library lol the pic of Alain is at 3:08
@@HomeReel oh okay 🤭🫡
1:50 Ha! *VINDICATION!!!!!!!*
I’ve always wanted Crytek to add in the colt lightning as well!
I’d really like a 2 slot playable banjo and a 2 slot crossbow
I picture it being a medium ammo rifle with a neutered ammo supply like with the Krag. it's faster fire rate would have the trade off of a more recoil and in addition you would need bulletgrubber to not lose a bullet during a reload
didn't the model 8 come out in the 1900s?
To be honest devs should use heat map to see which compound should be reworked next etc.
I’d love to see the Blake bolt action added ❤
Some eldritch fiber of my being requires a chain conversion carbine that replaces the chain on reload but prevents fanning.
It’s completely understandable when you consider IRL how darn significant the production of semi auto rifles were when they got mass issued, as now individuals could compensate for bad aim with spam.
imagine a handcrafted compound bow xD
I would love to see the Volcanic Pistol added, a lever action pistol would be a sick addition.
It would be interesting. Though, I wonder what kinds of advantages it ought to have? I suppose since a second hand is basically necessary, it could have a faster ADS fire rate than the single actions, though that would raise the question of why our hunters aren't using their second hand to cock their revolvers between shots, lol.
It would be cool to see that. Shame they were garbage.
Its technically a lever action yes but its lever works differently than normal lever action due to the mag and modified mechanic (saw in a video of a gun expert)
It could kinda work but it would end up in jams or probably even breaking the improvised action soooo my answer to it is: No
(it might still be a funny thing though)
(ironside already stays in sight during rechambering anyway)
I really wish they put the Remington 1858 New Army in the game, a revolver where u can change the whole cylinder.
That would be a great way to stop people from spawning at boss and extracting everyone else across the map could get there.
I think the "pax carbine" idea should instead be a super long barrel pax with a deadeye scope on it, no stock, 2 slot. That would be really unique
The motherfucking sway on that bitch though.
The big iron
I would love to see a Scottfield Carbine.
It's my favourite revolver in the game and more variants would be cool
I believe this is a thing already? The Scottfield Precision.
Would love to see a medium silence pistol and silence long ammo pistol
But fuck traps, and people who use them
@@000Mazno000 Your resistance is only making my trap game stronger :D
I've been grumbing about the lightning for months now. I hope we get it.
for the first question, i think i would like a stick with a sharp blade at the end that could be a medium slot weapon...
I think the Remington rolling block rifle could be another medium ammo single shot like the Springfield
to be honest Alain just needs more bridges and some replacing of stairs and else what i would overall like to keep it but definetly connect it a little more
How about an 8-inch version of some of the hunt showdown revolvers, which gives them higher muzzle velocity ? so u can use any type of ammo and have higher muzzle velocity. it only makes sense on revolvers without high velocity ammo.
Omg i never thought I'll get noticed. Thanks home
thanks for the question
I think as long any rifle/pistol being suggested is of any unique repeating mechanism than what is in the game now, where it be a pump, lever, bolt or single shot, most will be viable to make it into the game. There will def. be some niche or spot to fulfill. Oh and not many seems to like anymore semi-automatics of any kind to enter the game (which I have no idea why, considering the Auto 5 shotgun is in anyway)
This pump action rifle is def. one of them.
I REALLY want a silent med ammo pistol. I feel there is a significant lack there, and the shorty doesn't cover it being two slot.
I'd like to see a dedicated small slot shotgun that can be dual-wielded. Something that's more powerful and cost effective then the Lematt.
A consumable, single shot shotgun, that's discarded after use, would be an interesting addition.
a small shotgun revolver with maybe 3 shots instead of 6? (fannable too) xD
Bolt thrower should work for the bomb lance. But definitely not as strongly as for the crossbows. Maybe like 20% faster
Alain is actually one of my favorites due to the angles it has
Home had me doubting my game sense for a minute there when he mentioned Fish and Sons well fighting at Reeker, i had to open a map an make sure i wasnt crazy
The Spencer rifle would be Nice too, its like a lever action but you have to cock it like a Sparks everytime
A sawed off slate sounds fun or the howdah pistol sounds fun too.
I would love to see the 1858 Remington revolver, the Spencer , and the 1860 Henry or 1866 yellow boy
6:00 How about nerf the reload time of the bomb lance and increase it with 1 second, so the bolt thrower doesn't make it THAT OP?
one variant I can see being added would be for the springfield 1866 would be the addition of a magainze, There is a protype of an actual trap door rifle that has a tublar magainze like the lebels.
And it should be built on the Match variant!
@@Omniseed That would take away the aforementioned "spy/secret agent/assassin vibes", though.
I will put the question's shortened first, then my reasoning below:
Does Hunt miss having an animation when the Ai bodies despawn?
_
So i understand the whole deal of enemies bodies disappearing, both for performance and gameplay reasons, but it always felt gamey to me how they just “pop” out, i kinda of wished there was a little bit like in old Resident evil 4 where they kind of melt into a yellow thing and then dissapear quickly.
I play hunt showdown on a 2GB video card so i am almost on the not running the game group, so I guess a solution that would not make my pc suffer and me by association.

have no idea what is the name of that, so I just made it up and an explanation below
In the game Adaca if you press and hold the aiming button after a period of maybe one or half second, if you left take your finger off, the character stops aiming
but if you just click once, is the same as toggle aiming, you don’t need to hold the weapon for it.
The reason I found this interesting, in the case of Hunt, is that ever since i followed some tips about toggling instead of holding my aiming button, I got a lot better on aiming and i do like it way more
but i still have problems with shotguns and overall “snap shot” shooting with them or just close range, like shooting, stop aiming, and move, what sometimes happened, i do a quick melee, or takes sometime to actual move or go aiming and down weapon and aiming again in my desperation in the moment.

Thanks for your work, got to learn a fair bit with those videos, especially the door movement to close and open them.
Thanks for the discount!
I would like a medium rifle with a clip. Like the Mannlicher straight pull and n-lock clips.
Cheers.
Man i recommend that 22. Pump action like a year ago lol
Would like some pictures on screen when your talking about specific guns or compounds. You talk about some compounds would be nice to actually look at it. Then the box of the martini, maybe some gameplay footage of it in action would be appropriate
Fav compound: Fort Carmick
Least fav: Port Stinker
Mbti: infj
Home: reel
I stillt think that a quickdraw varient for the Caldwell with lower bullet velocity worse sights but very fast draw and ADS speed with slightly better hipfire in regular and with hammering!
I'd love to see a revolving rifle. And no, I am not talking about another carbine revolver, I mean the real deal
Edit: Also a Harmonica Gun would be fun too
If the harmonica gun is the one that i think it is, isnt that one incredibly dangerous and unreliable irl due to chain firing issues?
@@markmcleod7656 Yeah, but to be fair that applies to a lot of guns from that time
Even though there were only 80 built, I would love for the Mars pistol to be added. It could possibly be medium ammo as well
Levering on the Martini Ironside wouldn't actually work. The ammo box on the side of the rifle uses a gravity feed to drop a round in the Martini's breech, levering faster would just prevent the rifle from feeding properly.
I want to see a winchester 1895 lever action long-ammo rifle. Levering with that thing would be rootin' tootin'
It would be cool if they added a different Brand Lever Action Rifle like maybe a Henry or a Marlin but make them a medium ammo or compact ammo also a new sparks variant like the Carbine version or an appiture version
Pax with a longer barrel. It’s just a little more expensive but has better range and velocity. And also a Pax spitfire
ADD A BLUNT MELE WEAPON WE CAN TAKE INTO THE BAYOU! A baseball bat, billy club, mace, SOMETHING other than brass knuckles
