      The replica Pennsy 3 Chime sounds oddly majestic to me, compared to the authentic one that CN 89 was wearing.

    Wow, awesome work! My favorite in here is probably going to have to be the Manns Creek Crosby 3 Chime. Once again, great work.

    I've heard there's suspicion that Strasburg 90 has Reading 2100's whistle. I went to the MWRPS open house this year and the guys working on 2100 showed off her new reproduction reading six chime as the original had been stolen or lost. They were particularly pointing out that 90 has an original reading six.

      I just don't like how much pressure they put on it, it makes it sound much higher pitched than I think it should like that

    atleast these animals produce natural pollution, unlike diesel

    • @alanwright7819

      I guess you could argue that burning coal produces greenhouse gas pollution, but in the pre-global-warming 🙄 sense, coal-burning Steam locomotives are very environmentally-friendly (if you overlook the environmental damage caused by extracting the coal from the ground). The smoke they produce is a mixture of steam and ash. Steam dissipates and condenses into water vapor and the ash falls back to the ground and mixes with the soil, enriching it and making it more fertile.

    That 1st one was 765 not 760. That’s steam in the valley in cuyahoga county

    • @PennsyPro
      @PennsyPro  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That whistle is a guest from the 760. The 765’s regular whistle appears later.

    • @MrLunchHour2
      @MrLunchHour2 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh ok. Last time I saw 765 in cuyahoga valley it looked like it had 2 whistles on it. This video finally answered that question for me when you showed the video of it with the deeper whistle

    The 5-chime whistle on J&L 58 is a NZGR (New Zealand Government Railways) 5-Chime. Sounds good, doesn't it?

    Is 760 just renumbered 765?

    • @PennsyPro
      @PennsyPro  ปีที่แล้ว

      The whistle originated from no. 760; the 765 received no numbering changes.
