i like how your tutorial isnt exactly "here's how i get from A to Z" but you also include your thought process and how even pro artists can make small mistakes along the way and how to recognize those mistakes & fix them
I would like a video that expands the first 0:58 seconds into like 10 minutes with multiple examples and more specific guidance on how to get a good sketch like that.
This video is honestly exactly what I needed to learn since I've been struggling with finding the CSP tools and procedures to work with for digital illustration. Incredible video, thanks so much as always Pikats 🖤🖤🖤
Our brushwork can be one together, a canvas without hatred. Stars like flowers in your eyes. The background can be space (space space), with colors marching towards a peaceful sky. All the stickmen want things their way, but we still make them see the sun. We say goodbyyyyyyee stickmen, goodbyyyyyeeee stickmen Oh goodbye
This art piece is stunning! The way you drew the eyes especially caught my attention as well as the form of the drawing. It reminded me of professional artists like Mai Yoneyama. Your art truly inspires me to want to create beautiful art pieces like this!
I’ve always been a traditional artist and I just made the change to digital, it’s difficult because I want my art to look a certain way but I can’t seem to replicate it on digital this video helped me understand a lot, thank you so much :)
Hey @Pikat , I recently learned that to get vibrant colors, there’s a reeeeeallly simple method to do so (it’s used by the children’s book artist poopikat) 1. Draw a circle with eight sections. Should look kind of like sliced pie. 2. Pick two sections next to each other. In one, put one color, and in the other, put its complementary color. 3.in the remaining sections, you’ll use knowledge of the color wheel to “walk” from one complementary color to the other. It’ll look like a gradient, and these will be a super vibrant color pallet to reference from! EXAMPLE: If my complementary colors are purple and yellow, I’d walk the colors (purple, to raspberry, to red, to scarlet, to orange, to gold, to yellow orange to yellow) The beauty of being a digital artist also means that you can saturate and desaturate sections as you please to improve the pallet you wish to work with. You can also “walk the colors” the other way, moving through cooler tones ✨✨✨ I hope this helps!
Oh this is a really nice video, I remember asking for a video where she shows how she draw things step by step So as a beginner artist you can use it as a reference and see what you have to consider
Hey. Just found your stuff, and just wanted to say a big thanks. I've been trying to learn to draw by TH-cam tutorials, and I've been primarily using Marc Brunet's videos. His stuff is great, but I feel like you're a lot better at explaining in a way I understand.
this is great! I will mention it might be worth adding "noise" via nightshade instead, it wont always give you what you're after, but it'll poison ai scrapers which is good in its own right ^^
im noob artist my adhd brain gets overwhelmed when im starting so seeing others break down their drawings helps a lot so thank you also i found out a little bit ago coloring is also a struggle haha u got ur base colors ur different types of shadows transition colors ur highlights and ambient lights and all the different layers people use for shadows and lighting AHHHH good video :) (at least i dont use airbrush for shading haha)
5:49 so you have to use low saturated colours for the base and then saturated for shading and lighting? Cause i have a major flaw of using bright saturated colours as my base and then darker for shading😅
Your video inspires me sooo much😭can you please do a full discussion tutorial on choosing the right colours or saturation. I always choose mine to be so bright which makes it too cartoony. How do u know exactly what colour and saturation to use??
I hope the tablet doesn't heat up. I have an Artist 24 from a couple years ago and its a fricking furnace in summer. I wonder how that would be with it trying to run 165 fps sounds interesting tho, a loooooooot of artists play games so having high refresh rates is an interesting addition
You know what? I just realized that instead of using a noise layer, you _Cooould_ use Glaze or Nightshade since they kinda act as a noise layer (it probably wouldn't look as good though)
Other artists: Lowering the opacity of the sketch layer
Pikat: AIRBRUSH
my surprise when one of my favourite artists does sketches the same way i do was very pleasent xD
It feels like you're hitting it with a kneaded eraser when you do it like that.
I'm not saying it's wrong to do what she does, but it felt like a traditional art moment in digital art.
@@Nanominyo it just feels right xD i do it personally because of that loll
@@Nanominyo Oh, no you're fine. it's just satisfying to do for me as well.
"I like to use digital tools to augment my lack of skill" BRUTALLY honest line
i like how your tutorial isnt exactly "here's how i get from A to Z" but you also include your thought process and how even pro artists can make small mistakes along the way and how to recognize those mistakes & fix them
no artist motivate me to draw quite like you Pikat. You are my greatest motivation, I love your videos
Frrr
LET'S GOOO THE YAKUZA BRAINROT IS EXPANDING
WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO CONQUER THE WORLD!!!! 🗣️
meme stonks can only grow.
Pikat: see there is a lot of room for improvement
Me: wow i guess i have to learn more now…
All her vids are low key so entertaining and teach me stuff😭😭
It’s a good day when aunt pikat uploads
aunt?
@@brutalblam3909 aunt (affectionate)
@@RajPatel-dy7ln I am afraid I do not understand. I am afraid and also I do not understand.
@@brutalblam3909 we're adopting her as our aunt because we love her so much

i woke up from a terrible dream in a terrible day and now i watch pikat. thanks pikat :D
I love when I can tell when you're really happy and proud of a drawing you did
This tutorial has actually blown me away genuinely. Especially the noise texture part.
Literally just told myself last night I need to practice faces, then you go and post this lool
You're making me want to go back into digital art instead of purely traditional, it's looking great!
You can always do both!
yeah
Drawing with a pencil feels a lot better than drawing with a stylus so I like traditional more. Though it might be because my stylus pen is cheap af.😅
This video is honestly exactly what I needed to learn since I've been struggling with finding the CSP tools and procedures to work with for digital illustration.
Incredible video, thanks so much as always Pikats 🖤🖤🖤
Pikat's voice is sooooo calming fr fr
Immediately recognized Fuwaffy's Mu from the thumbnail!!!!! I love Mu's design sm you did a great job!
I just want to say you have the most awesome pixelart live2d avatar. It's so cute, retro and dynamic at the same time!
Big props on the honest and realistic review on the tablet. Much respect. Also your drawing came out awesome.
Bye bye stickman
Wow I can t̶ even draw a stickman (now)!!! ✨✨💫❤
No Stickman no no nooooooo

I’ve been drawing for a bit and picking things up from varies artist. You truly have found the perfect balance. Strong subscribe

This suble mournful expression is outstanding. Love it. Love the coloring details and concise breakdown of the process too

as an RGG fan and an artist i appreciate the occasional yakuza references in my art tut vids

Your faces have improved a lot! :)
I was wondering how can I draw a certain character's face and pikat drops this...
awesome.
Cropping the bits that are giving you trouble out of the final piece is such a mood lmao, so many hands juuust out of frame in my art
OMG! she's BEAUTIFUL!
why is this one of the best tutorials i have ever seen?
love art art Pikat ^-^
Something in this video tells me that Pikat may be a Yakuza fan. Also, I was looking for tips on face construction so this video had an awesome timing
Wow... this really was Like a Dragon...
THE GOAT HAS DROPPED A VID
Oh this is a really nice video, I remember asking for a video where she shows how she draw things step by step
So as a beginner artist you can use it as a reference and see what you have to consider
Seeing your process is so satisfying! I also adore the way you draw eyes!
You play Yakuza and draw this well?!??
Based Pikat as always!!!
I’m so happy you were on my fyp today :D
Yay new video^^ Doing my art homework with this one✨ and preview is so pretty!❤

PIKAT DROPPED
I love you Pikat >O< I'm already looking forward to trying to reproduce the reference with my own motif in mind using this video
came for the face tutorial, stayed for the yakuza clips
Omg i love you so much you helped me fix all the mistakes I made that were bothering me ❤❤❤
Nice tutorial and amazing illustration!!!
pikat: You see the problem?
Me: Uh, no. It looks amazing.

Never considered using hard light mode to make shadows and highlights. Definitely going to be giving that a try.
I love how the eyes look

The part about saturation needing desaturation around it to pop out was really interesting
I love your vids. But clearly we're on similar wavelengths because I can't stop thinking about pirate Majima and Yakuza too.
loving the yakuza clips ‼️‼️
