I want to give a warning that you should look in to. There are now shots of 7-OH mitragynine that are no different than taking any opiate. The withdrawals or more similar to fentanyl than heroin. It is concerning to me that a product is so easily accessible that can produce some of the worst withdrawals out of any substance and yet comes with zero warning. It is dangerous. It can drive people to find cheaper longer lasting options and become full blown addicts, though that is exactly what they will be after a couple weeks of constant use, as it is nearly impossible to get off without destroying your life for several weeks. Total and complete insomnia, diarrhea, cold sweets, blood pressure fluctuations, anxiety, depression, coordination issues, it runs the full list. Hope people heed the warning.

Interesting. I've been considering micro-dosing suboxone to get off of Kratom. Using very small doses, only to curb the WD's. I've read some positive results from others who have done the same.

Over 2 months without any K, after a 30 day taper, ending about a 4 year habit of around 15 - 20 or so gpd on average. The taper made the withdrawals bearable, but certainly uncomfortable for a few days, even after a pretty gradual 30 day taper.
But the worst part? Oh the worst part was aftet about 3 weeks, when all of the negative feelings from trauma and challenges that had occured during that time (that k was so effectively blocking out, or creating a false emotional floor) - the depression that hit for a solid couple of weeks was fkn dire... about 4 weeks off this stuff, a cloud started to lift. I barely even think about it now, 9 weeks into this freedom.

So you mean that all the shit that you didnt feel or think/digest during that time because you were "protected" by kratom arose? That's a serious fear of mine cause I lived a super toxic relationship with a woman with BPD who is seriously ill... Now that I just broke up, I feel it's not the time to quit kratom because I think It will destroy me, to realize what I've done (and not done) during these years...😢

I would recommend dropping one capsule every day until you off it. 120 a day - 1 per day you will be clean in 4 months. It seems like a long time but, you can do it just come up with a plan and stick to it. Trick is to taper slowly. God Bless

Thank you for your videos and story. I'm 26 and have a very addictive personality(runs in family) I actually started doing kratom around the age of 23(3 1/2 years ago) mainly to help me be more social because of my social anxiety. And it worked wonders at first. Then, I started doing more white vein kratom to help with energy as I've always struggled with that. Over time, it has really screwed up my brain and body so much. In just 3 1/2 years, my body and mind have become so dependent on it. At this point, I started taking it just to feel "normal" and have enough energy to make it through the day. For people without addictive personalities or coming off opiates and such, I'd recommend. But that's it. My whole reward system in my brain has become completely tarnished. I have little motivation or energy to do anything productive. (Also have gained 30 pounds over the last 3 years, idk if that is normal or related to kratom). Currently, I am still going through withdrawals and trying to quit completely, but it is very hard. But I know it will take time.

Over the last 8-9 months I've managed to taper from 60g to 30g a day. Once I break below the 30g plateau the wd become unbearable. I cannot sleep and after about 3 days I give in. I can handle any of the other wd symptoms. But without sleep I just lack the mental... I lose the battle in my mind. Something about being so tired but wide awake at the same time. I've started trying something new that seems to be working for me. Instead of drinking the green goop I've been making a tea with it. I found a kettle on amazon that has a built in tea strainer. It seems to be working. Another thing that seems to be helping is changing the ritual. There were specific times that I would take kratom. Now I try to mix it up and confuse those neurotransmitters a little. I'm going to win this war!

Great video Joey! Very thorough and well spoken. I am in withdrawal after about 20-30grams a day for around 4 years and my symptoms are thankfully not as bad as yours. Bad butt juice for about a week and up 5-6 times a night, laying there awake but I used it as motivation to meditate. Hollllly wow I have been completely locking into the quantumness of my inner being and that part has been incredible. I traded in my inner stress from withdrawal for unbelievable sessions of meditation and I am 100% sober from all the things except black coffee in the morning. Also carb free for a couple years. I am soooo grateful for addictions as they seem to have brought incredible meaning to sobriety and life itself. Now my focus is on reprogramming the depths of my subconscious mind and I will be sharing videos about how that process works from my perspective. Great videos and great presence on camera. If you were taking 30+ grams of green maeng da (imo, the most potent) then your withdrawals will be equivalent to the potency. If you haven’t quit already, you can try switching to red Bali. That one seems to be less potent, despite what the internet says, and the withdrawals are bearable. I haven’t had any issues with my stomach aside from the runs a few times. The aches will come and go - and the migraines - god the migraines. I was finally able to sleep last night and woke up just feeling like I have the flu. Sneezing, light cough, fever/chills. However, I didn’t have any restless legs this time. Migraines and restless legs have been the worst the last time I tried to quit Green Maeng Da.

It sucks that the withdrawals got you so hard and for so long. I go on and off kratom and have found that i need about 3 days to withdrawal. Day 4 is like a switch, remarkably better. Sometimes i think I'll stay off, but i honestly only take it for pain. I'm on feet on concrete all day in a warehouse and nothing works better than kratom. Well without a prescription i mean. Most pain medications cause me some kind of side effect mostly in my gut. I think acetaminophen is terrible for me plus it doesn't work that well. As far as kratom withdrawal, i just tough it out for 3 days. I used to be a hardcore opiate addict so maybe that's why the withdrawals don't effect me that bad idk. It's been many years since i used prescription opiates and never will again. If kratom is to become illegal, i will just stop taking it, be uncomfortable for 2 or 3 days and be good

@joeytalksaboutlife usually 12ish grams. It's been a high as 20. When I feel like I'm climbing in usage I'll taper back down. If I could stay at 3 grams a day or less, that would be ideal. But I tend to creep up in my usage. The key I think is to recognize it before it gets out of hand. I will say, when I do stop taking it for a period of time, I feel better in other ways. Libido and complexion for sure. I see it in you too in these new videos. A certain glow that maybe you didn't have before? I'll never be anti kratom I don't think but I will say if you can avoid it all together, good. But if not just keep dosage as low as possible and don't abuse it!

This is my first day attempting to ween and I was genuinely surprised how well exercise helps, (natural endorphins are vital) especially when paired with a low dose of, say 4 grams and potentiators/ supplements like ginseng, tumeric, vitamin c and magnesium. This allowed me to go from 20 grams, to a much much lower dose to ween off of. Of course, definitely consider that everyone is different and a confident mind set is the cure 👍 awesome vid man

Awesome video, thank you! I will be clicking that link for a session soon! My goal is to be off in my, and I will start tapering in January. I did, however, take a 3 week break. I used hirsuta and javinica and blackseed oil to taper, and in place of k during my 3 week break. Hirsuta and javinica has "alkaloids" in it though...just not the mitrigana and 7-hydroxy-mitrigana, or whatever it's called! It wasn't bad with that, but I mentally couldn't do it without the hirsuta and javinica. I couldn't go a full month break, it wasn't easy.

I'm on day 2 now and i don't do taper at all because i don't believe myself to do such thing and will definitely continue using it, so the best way i can choose is to stop it immediately.
Yesterday i was all day lie in bed with lightheaded, cold and absolutely no energy to even sit and eat, i can't even walk without bumping into something, no drives and no motivation at all even for the things I love like practicing piano or painting miniatures.
The most excruciating are restless leg syndrome, if I just can't sleep it's not really a problem because I can sleep during the day but I really suffer when I have to feel restless leg syndrome in my legs and arms 😢
I'm using kratom 10 to 12 grams using capsule 3 times per day for about 8 to 9 month i think.
    Wish me luck brother

I've been wanting to quit Kratom for a while now. Been on it for 5 years or so, I've been taking it to deal with chronic back pain. There are times when I've ran out and couldn't get any and it would completely ruin my day. My body would hurt so bad and my mind would be in a fog just thinking about getting more. I know at this point it's an addiction and need to get off of it but hate how I feel physically and mentally. Nobody in my family really knows my struggles with Kratom and I'm afraid if I share it with them they will think I'm a junky.

I've been taking it for over 10 years now and have been using it daily for the past 5-6 years. I've settled into a routine of consuming about 2kg per month. I don't really measure the dosage either. Basically, I take a heaping tablespoon and drink it with warm tap water. Naturally, I would experience withdrawal symptoms if I stopped. I don't drink alcohol or use other drugs.
Regarding hair loss, I've read about it but haven't experienced any negative effects myself, being in my mid-30s now. It actually fits quite well into my daily life. I'm quite successful in my career, and paying over 5k € per year for it is not an issue for me. But yes, I am slowly starting to consider how I can reduce or completely stop using it. I don't even know what it feels like to be without it.
I recently added up everything I've purchased since 2015. It's over 27k Euros. I can hardly believe it.

You need to shorten your stride, replace your shoes every 300-400 miles and stretch and not for just 15-20 seconds but 1-2 minutes for glutes, quads and hamstrings especially the inside tendon and do three sets of each. Doing the hamstring tendon makes want to scream when I’ve gone to long but by the third set what relief and you can feel how it’s pulled your hips apart. I discovered the dead hang over a month ago so I bought a cheap chin-up bar and put it outside on the deck. Could only hold for thirty seconds but I’d do it 4-6 x a day now I can go just over a minute. I get really bad restless legs when I don’t take it. I’m on a taper right now to hopefully quit. I’m down to 10g/day. Tapering about 1/4g down each dose.

So, I take kratom for pain and pain alone. I dont really struggle with anxiety or anything. I do need to stop taking it a week before my surgery on December 6th. Any advice?

How much do you take daily?

    • @michelleewel2829
      @michelleewel2829 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@joeytalksaboutlife It is different every day. Anywhere from 8 to 16 capsules. Most days, probably 12. That is throughout the entire day.

Head over to the quitting kratom subreddit, they helped me massively, couldn't have gone from 42 to 4.8gpd, (and still reducing) without them.

I have withdrew from prescribed opiates and what some prescribe is clonidine which helps with rls ..sleeplessness..cold sweats..theres imodium for the runs and also a type of trazadone for nerves....its a Godsend..i was on methadone which is the worst because it takes at least a month..where hydros or oxys leave thr body quicker in a week..maybe the kray stores up and so it takes longer..so a med that can help clean like goldenseal and burning fat like a carnivore diet or fasting.
