I so enjoyed seeing this video! The last and only time I rode the incline was when I was there as a child of 7 years old.....back in 1967.....56 years ago!!!!!!
The incline railway has always been one of my favorite things to do in Chattanooga Tennessee. I remember what was bought for me as a kid
We rode that in 1994 after visiting the Smokies for the first time. We rode down, got ice cream and rode back up. I loved it, my wife didn’t. Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you 😊 Joseph

Probably one of my all time favorite tourist attractions. I have postcards of it from present day to 1904.
You know who are the first timers when it gets steep and people start freaking out. Lol

We’ve ridden the Incline several times but it was fun tagging along with you guys.

Really cool ride! I love the old pictures and all the details told to the passengers on the way up the mountain. I didn’t realize this place existed. It sounded like safety first with the construction of this project, especially with this day and time.
Thank you 😊 Debbie
Yes....there are beautiful views at Point Park too. I've lived in and around Chattanooga all my life....and I've only been on the Incline once that I can remember. 👍

I never heard of this one but have ridden the Duquesne Incline in Pittsburgh dozens of times, usually bringing friends to Steelers games and taking them on it for the spectacular view of the Point, 3 Rivers, Dahntahn, both Stadiums. This looks just as awesome!!
This was great, Incline railways are fascinating. Beautiful views. I went on one that was an incline of 52 degrees in the Blue Mountains in Australia. Great fun. Cheers

I rode that back in ‘75 when I was 8 years old . Scary then and there really is no way I could do it now . No thanks ! But I’m glad you guys liked it . Ruby Falls is a great place to visit ad well. All the best to you .
😊😁😚
It looked great but I don’t think I could do it. I am happy you videoed it for others to see.
Another awesome video vlog from you guys! That incline railways was kind of scary. It was so steep.
I rode on an incline in Pittsburgh, Pa. up to Mt.Washington. It was neat! This, you were on was steeper. I enjoyed seeing Chattanooga. Interesting history on the inclines. They had a nice snack bar, & a really nice gift shop. The brown t-shirt that looked nostalgic was the best of all, I thought. I liked this, it was fun.
Awesome. Chattanooga is where I live. So glad you enjoyed it.
😊
Wow pretty crazy. Kinda scary! What a great view. Such fun. Thanks guys

Pikes Peak, CO is by far my favorite!
Excellent video!! Keep up the great work guys!!!
Thank you 😊 Bill
Good evening, is the switch that transforms the line from simple to double track (crossing loop) operated electrically? In continental Europe most single-track funiculars with two balanced cars are equipped with the needleless switches designed by the Swiss engineer Roman Abt
I live in Chattanooga and haven't ridden the Incline in YEARS! As always enjoyed the video. Does not look like it has changed much. They used to use it in extreme ice and snow to get people up and down the mountain. Don't know if they do that anymore.
Thank you 😊 for sharing Richard
She said they use it during ice and snow at 5:19 🙂
A very scary ride but beautiful views. You could see a very long way. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe
Thank you so much claudie
I don't think I could ride that little railroad...LOL~
I've done that it was fun for real give it a shot if you haven't ever done it you'll like it
That is pretty neat. We chose not to do it or the fake waterfall when we were there and opted for Rock City and the Aquarium. Good video guys.
Thank you 😊 BodymanFlan
Brings back
