Growing up in Chattanooga I had quite a few field trips to the aquarium including in first grade a week or so after it opened back in 1992. Back then it was just what they call River Journey now.
The Ocean Journey building opened in 2005. I haven't been there in years but going back has been something I have been wanting to do for a while.
I went to the Tennessee Aquarium earlier this year
Thanks for taking us along. We've talked about going there but haven't made it yet. I heard the aquarium in Tangor Outlets is supposed to open on Oct. 25th.
Nice video and great aquarium. I know from experience that many school groups visit here. What a wonderful educational opportunity this is for so many young, and older, people. A true gem for Chattanooga. And, yes, there are many food and drink options nearby where you can quickly walk, and not have to park again.
Heading to Chattanooga on Thur. Wondered about a stop at the aquarium. Your timing is perfect (at least for me)! Thank you. One thing you might add to your vlogs is a few words about parking at each spot. Knowing where to park is a big part of enjoying an area..in my humble opinion.

That is a huge amazing aquarium, its beautiful. I could watch the seahorses and jellyfish for hours, the underwater world is so fascinating, loved it 💕
I go today for my 7th grade trip
I'm in Chattanooga. My parents and brother just visited and we checked out the Aquarium. Love the area around it. Of course we did Rock City as well. Had fun.

It's been years since I visited the aquarium. They have expanded it a lot since then. The admission to both is a bargin.
Wonderful place to visit and live. You should try out the local restaurants and north shore. Do the walkable bridge over to Coolidge Park. Oh and Ruby Falls on the side of Lookout. The falls are beautiful. They are having haunted cavern’s in October … you get taken on side tunnels so no beautiful falls … lol. Oh and do the riverboat for dinner. The sunset on the river is beautiful. 😊

Thank you for the tour today. My wife and I had a delightful time. I’ll have to say it was more enjoyable than when we went to the Denver Aquarium. Denver is also beautiful, but it was overcrowded the day we visited.
That aquarium is definitely an amazing place to visit.

I just went here on my vacation about 2 months ago. I've been to a lot of aquariums in my lifetime. This one was nice and just okay. I personally prefer the Ripley's aquarium in Gatlinburg over this aquarium so I would rather spend my money there if I had to go to one. again, this is not a bad place by any means but compared to others I've been to... just okay.

Wow, last time me and my wife and Son were there was in 2003, you and dawn were probably still dating 🥰, wow how much it has changed over the years, the penguin area was our favorite , back then you walked through dark corridors, don’t think the Salt water Aquarium was there then, We will have to take the Grand children back there someday 👍

Great video. We have only done two aquariums. Our favorite was the aquarium in Boston MA. The other was in Niagara Falls but it seemed small to us.

I wish someone would tell you the mileage of the walk through the aquarium if you stay on the tour without using the elevator..Or even the number of steps if someone wears a fitbit or something..The freshwater tour is the one I'm interested in. Thanks
