Here are my completed pages for June 2024! I had a fun colouring month - really enjoyed my colouring and like the pages I have managed to complete - also really looking forward to completing the WIPs I have on the go.

Here is a thought. Do just the outlines on a Smurf page, then transfer the outlines to nice paper and color it with your pencils. Best of both worlds. You may find it easiest to photocopy the page before tracing so you don't get the backside lines showing through if you are using a window or lightpad. You can also reduce the size of the image if you wish during the photocopy process, since they are so simple they can easily go down to a half or quarter size sheet. Tracing paper won't have that issue.
Let the smurfs go lifes too short to preserve with frustrating colouring pages!!!! Beautiful colouring again this month 😊

Beautiful pages as always! Please don’t be disappointed in yourself over the Smurf book! Everyone has different styles and no book will fit all people. There are some really popular books that I just can’t get into. Thanks for sharing!

I agree! I find myself always going for the same colors and same color combos. I definitely need to make a conscious effort to push myself to explore with different colors and color combos!

They're all o beautiful! But the absolute winner for me is the paule brun one. Also quite liked the watercolor mushrooms and Christl Vogls' page.
Beautiful! No matter what medium you use. Even with the inexpensive pencils you can color as if they were your beloved Albrecht Dürer pencils. you are so talented. I love all your colorings and enjoy watching them.
My favorite of your completed pages is the whale in Enchanted Creatures. It is beautiful. I also love the mermaid in Creative Haven Enchanted. You are so talented. I enjoy seeing your work whether completed or not.

Beautiful Coloring Pages
I got my copy of Enchanted Creatures by Lalita Iyer today and I love it! I thought it was going to be a bigger book but I actually love the size because it's not as intimidating! I have to take my daughter to the ER but hopefully I'll be back in time this evening to get started on a page! It will be hard to choose a page though because there are so many that I love! Thank you for sharing this book with us because I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for you! Much love and appreciation!❤😊

I loved all the pages, even the wips but what stood out for me was the whale.
In the wips i saw a future bomb.
I love books, especially old ones and/or with leather covers (i have a few small classics, left to me by an uncle, that have leather covers and the colors are stunning: red, greens, maroons, black and white) so I can't wait to see your finished page in Mythographic Labirynth.

I agree, I much prefer small pages in general than multiple small things stuck randomly on a page. So a smaller size book with full pages. I hope that makes sense. To me, having the separate designs on a large page just makes for clutter.

Wonderful pages!! I really loved the whale page too. Hoping to get my copy of that book here soon ☺️ I agree with you about color by number books. I tried so many different ones and they just didn’t give me the feeling I was looking for. And yes, I absolutely got grumpy about using up my supplies in a page I wasn’t going to love in the end. You definitely gave it your all, but some styles are just not a good fit. Thanks for sharing Shelly! Take care ☺️

I also struggled with the color by numbers! It did not make me relax at all. In fact, I ended up with a migraine from trying to read the super tiny numbers everywhere. I thankfully did not even try to color in it and returned mine.
I am so glad I am not the only one….but I wish I had the sense to send it back before jumping into it! You are right, I do struggle with the numbers too….my eyes feel so strained after about 10mins! 🤗💗

You should try Neo Color I with the color by number book. You can base with the affordable Crayola markers or an inexpensive brand and then go over with the Neo I and you might enjoy it a little more. I hate seeing the numbers and streaks. Your pages are beautiful as always. 🤩

You are very talented. Love your color taste. What are your favorite pencils now? Are Pablos better than Arttixs (if we do not take into account lightfast ratings)?
I cant do colour with number books, it frustrates me too. If i want to do mindless colouring my go to books are mandalas.
So glad I am not the only one!! I am also not too fond of mandalas - so I have a normal colouring book that I keep aside and not worry about messing pages up in it. Works for me 🤗💗

Question: Since you have several uncolored pages, do you keep the crayons used from the set until you complete the page?

I have definitely answered this question you asked on another video in a comment - I tend to write down the colours, but only keep the pencils aside if I am not yet done colouring a specific element with them. Otherwise I tend to put my pencils away, as I am a little OCD and like things near and tidy.

You should offer to sell your Smurf book with your pages as is. Someone will buy it from you just to have your colorings. I don't do color by number books either.
What tool are you using to base with pastels in such small spaces accurately?
Why don’t you just do the black outlines in the smurf book? No need to colour if the outlining is what you find relaxing 😊
You can change the colors in color by number. Use the colors you want. Just follow the numbers or outline. Or just like you were doing cover up the numbers and use the picture in the back as a coloring guide to what the picture looks like. Then do your own thing. Think of it as coloring in coloring books as a child again. Maybe that will help. If you don't like it after that then give the book to someone else who might like it instead. So you don't feel like that was money wasted. And at least you've learned something about yourself as a colorist. Hope everything turns out okay.

@@Fifi4eva32 They have a history of not releasing them all in the US. They had a Tarot themed book a couple of years ago I really wanted and it never came here. You may try to contact them online and ask, if many people do they may reconsider. There are so many UK release books I wish would publish here, especially the Art Therapie books.
What if you used acrylic paint and a brush and just painted in the CBN
Good idea! Just that I don’t own any acrylic paints. Not sure I want to buy them for one book….but if I think I will start using them in other books, then I will think of getting some. Thanks 🤗💗

Question: you use paper between pages, is that tissuepaper?
Free yourself and get rid of that color by number book. You tried it, it’s not for you, and that’s okay. There are more mindless coloring options out there - even Smurfs. 😊

I agree lol it’s weird because I don’t like color by number books but I love diamond painting and I feel like it’s nearly the same thing
