He wanted me to pay the utilities and phone and other bills. And half of the mortgage. A house divided against itself can not stand. And it didn't. Divorced now, and have more money now for me and my children on my job along. God is with me and loves me.

I must be dysfunctional then, because in the past I've had sex to relieve stress and felt no connection or attachment to him; my emotions have not always been attached to copulation, intimacy, or any physical/ sexual interaction. Well culture is what we misinterpret as God's law sometimes too. If God does not forbid it, but we'll still draw conclusions against something that wasn't clarified or really addressed in the bible just based off of their cultural practices at the time, then we use previous culture in the same way (many practices that put women in bondage, and Christ came to set the captives free, yet depending on culture we pick and choose who and what should be liberated). The bible says when a man finds a wife he finds a good thing, which is true of course. In duality, it could also be that a husband is a good thing even though it doesn't say that specifically; two things that appear to be in opposition can be true at once (glass half empty half full effect on perception). It also doesn't say that a woman should not find a husband specifically; we're just drawing conclusions from assumptions many times. Same thing when it instructs husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church; that doesn't equate to wives don't have to love their husbands just because they weren't specifically instructed to, so we shouldn't make that interpretation; it just may mean she doesn't have the specific obligation to love on that level doing so as selflessly as Christ did in his sacrifice putting the Church first before himself even dying for us, and a husband must love his wife on that level (what comes with the territory to justify his authority over her). In the same way, wives are specifically instructed to submit to their own husbands, which doesn't necessarily mean that husbands will never need to submit to their wives (notice that "own" word included indicating they were submitting to preachers [other women's husbands] more than their own husbands)...On the contrary to submit is to yield, compromise, agree, and cooperate with ; and with an intimate union it takes two parties to agree and work with each other, so he may need to come with a spirit of humility and compromise and agree with his wife also for harmony in the home; a tyrant will have problems, so we can't always make assumptions about what's not said based on what is said. Scripture does also say submit one to another, but I believe specific instructions are for emphasis to elaborate who needs what instruction more from having a bigger obligation in that area for their roles and who may struggle the most in that area and need to have it clarified for them, but it doesn't mean it doesn't also apply for the other party on a lesser level. Ak the Lord revelation and then rightly divide the word of truth; I'm learning to do so all the time.
