I had a old headband that I placed it on underneath the chin are of the helmet and then I cut off the excess , make sure to leave it a bit wider so you can stuff it inside. With a creditcard I inserted the extra material inside the helmet , in between the helmet itself and the exterior plastic and it worked. It reduces the noise . I definitly recommand this method for anyone who dose not have the budget for an expensive helmet . Also I think the rubber stuff around the visor dose not isolate good as well and thinking of using something like silicone to isolate it better as well .
Not gonna lie bro thats pretty sick and exactly what I needed going from a bell vortex that has a chin curtain to an airform which doesn't is weird so thanks man 👌
Will receive my Airform in 3 days, gonna try a piece of thin plastic instead of cardboard, will let you know how that turns out. Thanks for the video, man!
@@ironridermoto So basically your method totally works, also works with plastic instead of cardboard and i also succeeded in fitting a chin curtain from some old noname helmet i had. I also ordered a Quiet Rider helmet skirt just to see how much difference it will make vs ordinary chin curtain. As the temperature outside is below 0 now, i guess i wont be able to try it out before spring. Oh, and for all who are still concerned with noise - dont skip earplugs, you only get one set of ears per life.
@@veegoesvroom6685 Thanks for the update! The Quiet Rider Helmet Skirt could be a game changer as it looks to provide full coverage. And I completely agree, don't skip the ear plugs! Little tip - place some tape over the sun visor lever, a ton of the wind noise comes from there.
Future thoughts in case that one fails with age or use. The part of the helmet you tuck material under detatches for replacement. Maybe with it off there are other ways of doing same thing.
62 year old disabled vet just getting back into the wind after a 30 some year lay off. Bike is out of shop soon, plan a later date of motovlogging a trip across states. Bikes name is Sn0tb0x, very loud metric anchor... forever two wheels brother
Did mine with a sweater. Turned out good

That's a cool method and it saves you from the template portion. Keep me posted on how it works for you! Cheers!
It works very well

Thanks a lot from France :-).
Hope it helps!
Man that music tho 👌🏼
Thanks! 🤘
Wonder how that has held up over time?
Did it fall out when you take your helmet off or put it on? Did it actually fit well...?
Loved the background music btw
Thanks! And no it never falls out, it's held up nicely

There definitely could be a better way to secure the fabric by seeing whats under that trim piece - so far it's holding tight!
But did it help with the wind noise?
Can you tell any difference from the sound when you record or feel less air?
Yes, I definitely think it helped with the sound quality and air flow. Thanks!
ive heard the little switch for the drop down visor on the side of the helmet is cause for most of the wind noise with this helmet
...then I saw his beard
