Best demo of this great amp on the Tube, and I mean that. Thank you for taking it through as many sounds as reasonably possible instead of 10 seconds of clean and 3 minutes of high gain.
Absolutely gorgeous tones from that little blue monzter! Succulent Stratospheric Sonic Sweetness! Wow great mids and matched well with the strat! Positions 4 and 5 were so tubular and 1-3 had tons of bite, snap and quack! Wowzers! Would love to have this combo of Strat and Vox. Vox Rox!
Thank you! I wanted to hear this amp demo'd by someone that can play, and here it is. I'll be on the lookout for a deal on one of these after listening to this demo. Great playing, by the way.
Never get tired of listening to this demo. Ive had the fender hotrod deluxe, the marshall class 5 which I hate, im selling it (marshall class 5) to buy this lil amp
just ordered this amp for a practice and grab n go jam amp. this video makes me so excited. your playing is outa site man. i can tell you put your feeling into it, sounds great!
It's a great little amp, but it is a pain to change tubes and there of course isn't much clean headroom. It does have a great sound, especially for mid gain sounds
Kepler Hughes I think I must go and try one. Have you played an AC15? If so, how do the cleans compare? I play a LP Studio through a clean AC15 with pedals for gain. The AC15 just has to be a bit too loud for me for the cleans to sound at its best
Great amp in this price range, much better sounding than the AC-4TV. If you see the scematics, it is more a nice Vox-Plexi hybrid amp, nevertheles with the typical Vox sound but, if necessary, with more gain. Very vivid, dynamically reacting sound, also nicely noiseless even at high Gain/Volume settings. The small cabinet/speaker combination has a tendecy to sound a little boxy, but I usually anyway only use it with load box and cabinet IR's and with a godd 212 or even 412 cabinet IR it simply sounds awesome. An advantage in comparison to the TV is, that the AC-30 typical tone control allows a very good and intense bass adjustment, which is essential for especially hotter overdrive sounds, while the Princeton-type tone control in the TV only affects treble. Cool, excellent sounds for everything between Vintage clean and classic overdrive, if properly adjusted. Also the look is cool.
Nice demo. You demonstrated amp application as a pro would do. Start with amp and pro spec guitar as great base and color at will with pedals. Very helpful. The amp does sound great on it own.
In green? Wow, that´s sweet! Unfortunately you can only buy the blue and the classic one in my country. I´m really looking forward to try this amp with my strat.
Just understand, as beautiful as the clean sounds it's not going to be even close to as loud as you are hearing it now. Definitely a killer recording him or practice amp though.
I put a celestion gold bulldog and some mullard tubes in mine. Those changes have been more expensive than the original amp but now it really kicks ass. Full Vox sound at bedroom levels.
Nice video many thanks. Was looking to see how this amp (bought it several hours ago) will perform with Strat because not able to try right now. This video is a great example. Both the technique of the artist and the quality of the video sound are high level.
I'd go with the Vox. I know the Blackstar's more expensive, but it doesn't sound 100 dollars better, if better at all. The Vox is super versatile and the lack of an fx loop is nothing to worry about. Chimey, bell-tone cleans and classic British crunch. Vox for the win.
Great demo thanks, I do believe this will be my next amp! I just tried one of these today with a(new)regular Mim Standard Strat. Gorgeous sounds from that combination too. I had almost bought the AC4TV when it came out, but I thought it sounded to dark. This Blue one with the top boost is perfect though.
People often use the term boxy to describe an amplifier’s tone, I guess this refers to just hearing midrange, a characteristic of very small speakers in general. I don’t find that to be the case with this amp, it can sound very large, especially if it’s on the floor, transmitting bass frequencies into the structure. I can make it sound like a muddy mess with humbuckers, so it doesn’t lack bass like so many on TH-cam describe, it might not put out as much bass with your low output single coils like a bassman can, but just change your guitar
Hello, you have excellent sound, I read all the comments, but you never mentioned what modifications were made to the amplifier: HP, tubes, circuit, ... thanks
Can i use the ac4 c1 10" in a band during a concert without having problems of volume (considering that I play aerosmith, I would use the saturation of the final)? can I make myself heard? alternatively, with a 2x12 "box, is the increase in perceived volume relevant?
Great demo & brilliant playing! Im kinda torn between a Vox ac4c1 and a Blackstar HT-5! need an all rounder for mostly studio work! any suggestions? and is not having an fx loop for pedals a huge thing to worry about? Thanks!
Would you say that the Blues Pro is similar to a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 MOSFET? Sometimes, I'm very tired of my FD2 and I want a slightly different sound. The Blues Pro and the Plimsoul sound perfect in this video as far the gain staging that I'm going for and my Timmy stacks well with other pedals, so I have a lot of options with gain staging.
One of the best amp demos I've seen with some really nice, inspiring guitar work - Thanks!
Mike ATL thank a lot!!
I just got this amp pretty much because of your video. Absolutely in love with it!
Best demo of this great amp on the Tube, and I mean that. Thank you for taking it through as many sounds as reasonably possible instead of 10 seconds of clean and 3 minutes of high gain.
Best demo ever from this amp...period
Best sounding demo for this amp that I've heard.
I always come back to see you play through this little amp. Cleans are creamy! Love it :))
Great amp, great guitar, and a great musician... that’s the secret.
Thanks a lot! Keep an eye on my next solo-album I'm about to release! Cheers, Niels
Definitely has the vox tone. Sounds sweet. Nice playing and a great demo

Michael Capanelli thanks! It's a great little practise amp and sure does sound good with a microphone in front of it....
That is one impressive demo (and playing), Niels! Thank you!
One of the few well recorded demos on this amp...thanks
Some killer tone from this guy! There's something SO good about a start through a vox. So much chimey goodness. Thanks for the great demo!
The cleans in the beginning are fantastic!
Fantastic demo that would make me want to buy one. Great to hear it played well with a Strat by great must.
Never get tired of listening to this demo. Ive had the fender hotrod deluxe, the marshall class 5 which I hate, im selling it (marshall class 5) to buy this lil amp
Bought this amp based on your video. Still loving it.
Amazing tone! I really like how you play, the intention, phrasing, control…bravo!!!
that strat sounds fuckign incredible.
Great job, finally an AC4 demo that isn't pure fuzz!
just ordered this amp for a practice and grab n go jam amp. this video makes me so excited. your playing is outa site man. i can tell you put your feeling into it, sounds great!
How did you like it? I am really interested in one of these for the living room, my AC15 is just too loud to keep at home.
It's a great little amp, but it is a pain to change tubes and there of course isn't much clean headroom. It does have a great sound, especially for mid gain sounds

Great demo, beautiful playing, tones for days.
Love your playing man. Feel supersedes everything.
1:52 Focus - Hocus Pocus. Winning. Great playing.
I was wrecking my head trying to figure out where id heard that before.. Thanks a mill ;-)
Finally a review with a Strat!!!
Beautiful delicate playing
Brilliant demo man, thanks
Outstanding and tasteful playing! Great tone as well! I'm sold on one of these amps.

Love the swing into deep soul stare as he moves to an Em at 0:08 ;)

There is a 12" version of this AC4C1. It has a bit more punch and warmth.
Not so much noise. Perfect recording amp.
Love Vox!!
Nice demo. You demonstrated amp application as a pro would do. Start with amp and pro spec guitar as great base and color at will with pedals. Very helpful. The amp does sound great on it own.
gorgeous clean trem tone man.
Great playing. Awesome little amp too!
I AM BUYING THIS AMP ASAP
Exactly my thoughts, man!
Perry Toad Lo and behold, I got one! In British racing green no less! Its awesome.
This amp is good but ONLY WITH A GOOD PEDALBORD
I put a celestion gold bulldog and some mullard tubes in mine. Those changes have been more expensive than the original amp but now it really kicks ass. Full Vox sound at bedroom levels.
Dude, the guy made it kick ass without those changes. It rips on this video.
Beautiful tone and great playing!
Man, that's sounds great!!!

Amazing
nice playing especially towards the end

really great playing
sounds incredible.
You just cant beat a good tube amp!.....Great sound dude....
very pleasurable tone ! Excellent playing too ! !
Subscribed !
Nice playing.
This amp sounds really nice! I'm going to get the Vox AC4C1. I think the only difference is the 12" Celestion 12" instead of 10".
hi buddy, beautiful sound, little compressed, so beautiful ! thank you :)))
Very nice guitar playing!
Awesome playing! Awesome sound!!
Sounds great, I ordered one for myself.

Sorprendentemente un suono fantastico!!! Good skill :D
NICE playing!!!!!
Hello, you have excellent sound, I read all the comments, but you never mentioned what modifications were made to the amplifier: HP, tubes, circuit, ... thanks
Awesome tone!!!
Niels van der Steenhoven What settings did you use for the cleans?
You have a great style
Ongelooflijk. In alle andere filmpjes die ik keek, klonk deze amp volledig SNERT. En nu blijkt het een een heel fijn ding te zijn....
one video used a sm7b on an ac4c1bl about two inches off center at an inch away from the cone and sound somewhat dirty . . but the amp/pre
Beautiful sound...
so beautiful!
Thanks, I used to tour with that band...
MegaBrebis I think it can get very loud! :) I don't know how to describe clean headroom... Maybe for a very small gig it would be enough...
i was maybe gonna buy this cause the sucky videos-now i am buying this vox for sure!!!!
Really nice sounds! What's the clean headroom like? At the beginning of the clip what was the Volume and Gain levels?
Great demo and playing here, thanks. Any speaker and/or tube upgrades? Cheers, Jonas
Awsome, just awsome
Thanks man! Cheers, Niels
you make sound it perfec!

Great video sir!
1:50 Hocus Pocus by Focus? I think so!
Also, what is the song you play in the beginning?
Thanks!

Very good video. What mic are you using?
