I've heard a number of people say this amp is kinda "boxy" sounding. I ordered one a few days ago and I plan to use the external speaker output to drive a Marshall MX112 cabinet. The MX112 is an excellent cab for the money ($250) and is nice and deep. That should eliminate the boxiness. Plus, the chassis design on the AC series makes them vulnerable to tube rattle that I experienced with an AC10C1 & AC15C1. An external cab should eliminate that. At least I hope it does.
The home-made type production and humor is refreshing to me, although you will probably not get to a million subscribers anytime soon. I like both popular and hidden gem videos.

I got the JJ tube version of this combo because of this video. Used the money saved on the sale price to put in a green back. I couldn't get your sounds with mine but that has more to my abilities but the speaker swap helped my enjoyment of my sounds
Re the boxiness, that could probably be "fixed in the mix". It sounds like it would be a great (and certainly convenient) recording amp and with some creative EQing, would no doubt sound huge!
Gotta disagree... I have been recording for a few years with a budget setup, and I'll say you may get away with EQing a "boxy" sound, but in general it means you will never have a pretty, clean sound in your mix. You'll always be doing things to the recording to make it work. My recommendation if you like this is go for an AC15 and save yourself the hassle

I think the Boss DS-1 is probably the cheapest pedal they sell. It is usually about 50 bucks. The Sd-1 may be about the same though. Anyway....both good pedals. Fun video as always. Thanks!
Hi Utsav, my Vox AC4 does not have an AUX input, it is a very simple amp, single channel, but in my ears it has everything a big amp needs. Maybe R.E.M Monster, Queen, if you like this, chances are you like VOX :-)
@@landonbailey hm, my ac4tv's chassis was attached also to the top by the screws, so it was possible to remove it without a problem. Anyway you can cut off a hole in the panel and imitate kind of open design or make a new open panel like here th-cam.com/video/Ua7CxwODEKA/w-d-xo.html
OMG! Did I wake up in a parallel universe today? Or do these amps just not work with humbuckers? Every video I watch has nothing but Strats! I don't play Strats. And if I did, it would have humbuckers! Well, at least one.
Your not kidding when you said bad playing and you have a mexican strat. Vox don't do well when you do delay with overdrive and try to get the spacey sound it sound washy Spirit in the sky sounded pretty good

I have 10 inch speaker model and it sounded bad for a few years. Then suddenly seemed broke in now sounds great.

I use a EHX Hot Tubes Nano for a boost and a Maxon Analog Delay with my Vox AC4 and it sounds great.

I am not a fan of the Boss SD-1. I use my Vox AC4C1-12 with a Joyo Hot Plexi pedal. It sounds great.
