No frills. It's what a small truck should be. Proper maintenance. And you'll have years of enjoyment. Just wish they put them back in production

Nice truck! I have a 1992 candy apple red 4x4 standard everything manual transmission, a.m. radio no AC. Zero rust. Wish I could show photos.
But I’d like a simple truck like yours with an automatic

From what I've heard, the standards are better quality transmissions. Some have even said the autos on Rangers are lousy. I've had no trouble so far, knock on wood.

Why can't truck like these still be manufactured today? Love the looks and style of this truck very, very much. Hate these trucks that are manufactured today that are 4 door station wagon trucks with wagon wheels and thin tires on them these days.

I had a 88 and ran it for 279,000 miles before selling it. The only problem was with the timing belt about every 75,000 miles. I then got an early 90’s model that had a 4 cylinder with 2 plugs per cylinder. The block bursted and the transmission failed also. It was a gigantic pile of dung. Lol

Sorry to hear about the latter one. But the fact that the '88 went that far is pretty awesome. There's an '88 not far from me for sale. I want it but don't have the money or space right now.

That was the Nissan Z engine that you had in the truck, as certain Rangers and Mazda truck had those Z engines in them that burned and reburned the hydrocarbons for a cleaner environment.
