Lilly, I'm a long time subscriber to your channel. Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your content. I personally reversed type 2 diabetes on the carnivore diet, which is obviously a ketogenic diet. Also got rid of my high blood pressure. Great to hear that you're making proactive, natural choices to improve your health.
Thanks for being a long time subscriber. Turned out I had diabetes 2 for a long time. This is why I always felt like trash. But now I am slowly getting better. Glad I found Dr. Berg on youtube! He seems to be some of the few docs that really care. Others are just treating symptoms
It is so smart to make a video for beginners at this time because so many new archers might start with it because of their new years resolution. Nice choice, lilly. I watched your channel for a long time now.
Happy New Year. Archery is on my to do list in 2023, also. I had a stroke in 2018 and lost strength in my arms and legs. It's time to retrieve that strength and accuracy. Wishing you a healthy new year!
Glad your back! And that your solving the health problem via Nutrition. I did the same with my MS and do a Vitamin D3 with coconut treatment and modified Keto diet. Herbs I cook with are Anti-inflammatory with Vitamin B complex (Amino Acid) focus.
Good to see you in better health and shooting again. Let that 30# bow get you back into shape and then go higher in weight as your strength gets better. Happy New Year.
Hi Lilly, it is a couple of hours short of midnight here in the Shire so I thought I'd thank you for a full years worth of videos and wish you and yours a happy new year. XX
Glad you figured out what the medical issue was and are managing it. I bought that same Samick Sage bow recently and am loving it. I have an old singer sewing machine i used to make a backpack that fits my bow, string, arrows, bolts, paper plate targets, and a little mini tripod for my phone for taking videos of my qigong and some bow and arrow practice. The backpack works well for just carrying it all while walking, and when riding my motorcycle so it provides options for transporting it. It came with lower weight limbs, 25 pounds i think, since i am new to shooting bow and arrows. Soon I will add some stronger limbs. It sure helps to have forest to shoot in away from people.
I have been shooting bows about 45 yrs and have quite a collection of long bows, Recurve bows and a couple of takedown bows a few compound bows. I love them all but my favorites are my recurve and long bows. So glad you are feeling better and found a good diet. I have been eating a Mediterranean diet for many years and it has changed my life. Love your video and have a wonderful New Years. Hello from Texas !!!
Hey Lilly I'm glad you're back! I too have faced adversity due to health issues back I haven't given up. I'm glad to see you have the drive to push on.
I hope your new year is the best you have ever had. Watching your video even though I've been an archer for over 50 years. One never knows what they may learn from others.
Glad you've found the problem and are on the mend. Love shooting target archery but here in the US my preference is compound bow. Love your range. Wish I had 3D range around here.
❤ to all. A few years ago, I came here for archery info. Stayed for so much more! After cvid in '21, I slacked off on archery. This is great motivation. Thank you dear Lilly! Coincidentally, I recently started increasing my animal proteins. I have noticed 2 benefits so far.
Thanks Lilly! Great tips. Been a while since I did archery and finally just bit the bullet and bought the Samik Sage via your link. Thanks, now to find a quiver, practice arrows etc.
Hello Lilly, good to see you. Yes, I've been under the weather/ not my best the last few weeks also, seems it's going around. I took archery in school, but that's about it. I think it's a good/quite skill to have, especially if you don't want to attract attention from other means of hunting and defense. My granddaughter likes archery and is pretty good at it. Think I'll get a bow&arrows, crossbow? And practice and learn from all your videos this next year. Have a safe&healthy New Year Lilly. 🤗❤️🙏
Happy New Year Lilly. Well done for starting to get out and keeping fit again. I have a Mongolian Hunting Bow and would love to have an archery range like yours available in the UK.
Happy New Year. Thank you so much for sharing. I am also learning about an starting keto. I’m so happy you are feeling better. I recently have loss of muscle and am working on improving my strength. So thankful you share. Best wishes
Dearest Lilly, Happy New Year's!!!! So very happy to be here with you for another year! Archery has always been your passion and joy and you gave taught me much even just watching you in the videos. Thank you for your selfless giving and sharing with us all to better all of our futures as human beings together here in this world. Bless your heart Lilly 😊
G'day Lilli, greetings from Australia...First up, love your videos. I just bought my 1st bow, 62" Deerseeker Raptor T/D, 30lb recurve. Almost bought a Sage , but couldn't be sure I could get heavier limbs when and if I improve to that level. Wish me luck and success Lilli. Hope you health and strength continues to improve👍 Cheers from Australia Neil ✌️
I also recommend the Samick Sage. I've had it with 50lbs limbs for years now, but only started shooting it diligently in 2022. Got my first buck with it in October 2022 during archery season. Great bow, smooth shooter, beautiful build and look. It's nice to have the option of upgrading/downgrading limbs as needed. Glad you're feeling better, I bet you feel whole again, getting out and shooting arrows downrange. 🤙🏼
Good to see you back out & enjoying what you do. You will soon regain your strength because you're a survivor . Happy new year to you & your followers. Hoping to see you back out in your camp sites soon. Take care 👍🙂❤️.
Love seeing you back behind the bow again. The first video I ever saw from you was with a bow, and I've been watching ever since. I'm glad your feeling better♥
I am getting on in years and about to retire, so I have decided to have a go at field archery. Having had a one day introductory at a local range, I have just ordered the Samic Sage 35#, but because I only have a 26.5" draw length, the bow at 62" will be about 30 to 32# for me. Really looking forward to getting bow fit and enjoying days out on the range.
Great to see you back Lilly and, in good health. Enjoyed this edition and was impressed with the Samick Sage bow. So, I was wondering if you could do a show about your preferred bow draw weight , draw length, arrows and aiming technique. Happy New Year from Australia.
So sorry you have been so under the weather. I'm 65 and have had an awful head cold . I know this is nothing compared to what you're going through but I never get sick. Not even in our last 3 years. Prayer!!! I have a small crossbow that I haven't been able to put the string on. I hate to ask for help until I absolutely need it. I live in an apartment so it will be part of my protection along with other things.
It's good to have a pure longbow, no handle or rest, and practice some, then move up to more high tech. Can be low poundage. But whatever works for you. Great video.
Thank You Lilly, for all the tremendous work you put into your channel. You have produced some very professional quality videos. Your videos are instructional and entertaining. Blessings to you and your family in this New Year!
I’ve been wanting to take up archery. Tried a few times at the range I used to belong to in 2021 and used one of their bows. I sort of got turned off by the price of bows. But the one you mentioned seems very affordable for a beginner.
hello, happy new video. Accuracy will greatly improve the release (you have a lot of spread fingers on the release) and try to keep the bow on the target until you hear the arrow hit the target (short hold)
I was always told to use a specific point of my nose on the string as an anchor point but I shot a lot of compound bows I do okay with a recurve but it's a learning curve
Sorry to hear you've been unwell but glad you're on the mend. I got the same bow as you to start archery--I have the 25lb limbs and honestly I'm still struggling to draw the string fully. So I'm going to have to start some serious weight training. Maybe you could share some fitness tips on your journey as you regain your muscle? Love from UK x
Glad your doing better. Get a cube target for in your house. Stand there and blank bale shoot. Just work on form and strength. Makes a huge difference when you do get to the range. Keeps your skill moving forward regardless of life intervening.
Glad to see you out and doing better Lilly. You are an inspiration to many people. By the way did that arrow that hit the rocks get destroyed? All the best and happy new year.
Indeed, I have a long break of that as well. I used to go to a range but I moved. I was shooting a recurve. What do you think about that? Because you use a regular one.
Lilly. So, for someone like myself who would never shoot longer than 50 meters, a 30lb bow would be fine? Just my fist bow was 25lb, and I'm just starting our at age 72 years. Love your stuff, inspiring so much. muchLove RB

Umm... on Amazon UK the bow costs 250 gbp (282 euro).

Love your archery videos. I’m very glad you figured out why you were feeling so poorly and have found a treatment that works for you!
I must say, you look much better. Must be getting outside and enjoying what you do... Happy New Year, Miss Lilly. Hope things get much better?

Awesome video. Just discovering archery, love your descriptions.
Indeed, I have a long break of that as well. I used to go to a range but I moved. I was shooting a recurve. What do you think about that? Because you use a regular one.
I like a recurve as it has more draw weight but once you have it pulled, it is easy to aim as it is not pulling as much.
Hi Lilly new year's eve , I liked this Tutorial you are the best. Thanks for excelente vídeo see you next time. Greetings from Brazil.

Stance, and release, very important practice until it's instinctive. Also use blind fold to practice your other sense perception. Your don't need your eyes.
Lilly can really make a practical outdoor outfit look fashionable as well..
I'm not sure what camera you are using but if you have an exchangable lens I'd recommend to use a bigger focal length to capture those shots from behind yourself. edit2: I'm not a women so i can't speak for women but I don't think you lost your muscle. Maybe a bit of strength but that comes back much faster than muscle.
