Can't believe they put so much stuff in an area the vast majority of players aren't going to find. Makes it even creepier somehow considering this is basically the depths of Sunny's mind.
Part of the reason why I love this game so much. Going back to Black Space and Black Space 2 after having seen The Truth and The True Ending really puts into perspective all of the seemingly random stuff that happens in them. Having so many secrets also mean this game has a lot of replay-ability. The less shocking stuff can easily be found in Black Space, while the more horrifying are buried deep within Sunny’s mind. It’s intriguing to say the least.
Better yet, the game actually delivered on the promise that HS would be overtaken by Blackspace, because now everywhere you go has an enterance inside there.
I remember exploring Black Space 2 a few months ago and I found the docks area. I went to the deepest part and found the I'm Sorry note, and it just broke me. The fact that it's the deepest part of Sunny's mind and subconscious, and its just an empty room with I'm sorry in the middle. I remember seeing it and just breaking down into tears.
I also really appreciated how the letters are blurred. Even in the deepest depths of his minds, he still would try his best to hide how much guilt he feels.
15:20 this room is the thing that scared me the most in the whole game. I don't understand why it's not talked about more. You discover this door, you knock on it, then you go back but the exit is closed, so because of that you continue moving forward but you suddenly hear the door opening and omori begins to walk really slow. I was so scared that i immediately went back to the exit and didn't even care to look one more time at the door. Then you try to go back in the room but you can't enter anymore because "You are afraid." Just wow. update: i take the "room that scared me the most" award back so that i can give it to the red maze. Definitely a bad idea to interact with the walking bread at 2AM. And visiting Hellmari in the basement shortly after.
i was just sitting here watching it and my heart dropped to my stomach when he started walking so slowly. its like trying to run in a dream. i cant believe i completely missed this on all my playthroughs. theres just so much in this game, its hard to find it all on your own.
Detective Mar has a theory that this door + Cat Butler/Long Snout are reference to therapists. "You saw something but decided it wasn't for you." Sunny is a liar. His guilt and fear of being taken away runs so deep that he can't even admit to himself what he's done. (Despite knowing exactly what he did to Mari and that his actions are wrong, as confirmed by Omori.) Good therapists are hard to find, and therapy can only go so far if the patient is unwilling to cooperate. Long Snout's plague doctor-esque face makes sense in this context. Plague doctors didn't know how to treat the Plague, the cures of the time (bloodletting and bedrest) were ineffective. If Sunny can't be vulnerable and honest with a therapist, they won't treat the root of his issues
I read a theory I haven't been able to get out of my head ever since. It basically said that the bathtubs at 24:04 may actually represent a time Sunny tried to kiII himself (drowning in the bathtub I presume) because he couldn't take the guilt, short after Mari's death and before he "forgot" how and the creation of headspace. It's an interesting theory but it doesn't make it any less sadder.
There hasn’t been shown any concrete reason why there so many bathtubs at the area so you may actually be correct. I mean, I couldn’t think of any other reasons.
just a thought... i don't think that it was *drowning* in the bath tub. i think he intended to electrocute himself with a hairdryer by putting it in the tub with him. in forest maze 2, there's a hairdryer, and if you interact with it, it says: "you are afraid." so i think he was too afraid to do it
@@meowaaron that makes me wonder why interacting with the blender in the black space docks says “You are afraid” too. I always thought it was because maybe he didn’t like loud noises but it might be another unrelated suicide attempt.
That must be why it displays "you are afraid" whenever you interact with one of the hair dryers, which already hint at your theory by just being there along with the bathtubs.
I forgot the name but there was this Japanese horror game made in rpgmaker and it had doors and not all of the secrets have been discovered even to this day and this reminds me of that.
I was watching the video with my headphones, pretty on edge expecting a jump scare. Then I hear “BATTERY LOW… PLEASE CHARGE NOW.” I think that scared me more than any jump scare could.
45:00 This... Skeleton appears a lot in the game. I feel like it remembers Sunny to what MARI IS today. She's a dead skeleton burried into the ground after all. One day she was smiling at him, and now her body if nothing more than a creeping thing and it's all "my" fault. I think that what Sunny thinks.
I wanna ramble about some of the moments that stuck with me (am a psych major) so here we go 12:25 Omori chases after his friends in Headspace. The fact that they back away just as quickly as he runs towards them is tragic enough as is, but this is also a manifestation of Sunny’s fears regarding the truth coming out. He worries that they’ll leave him, even the ones in Headspace. No words are spoken. Their silence speaks volumes. *His* silence speaks volumes. A never-ending staircase with what Sunny (and by extension, Omori) desperately wants to keep, always just out of reach.
I wonder what's behind the You Are Afraid door on the docks. The webs are clearly not created by Omori and they're designed to slow him down and we get certain things will scare him (being too close to the truth like with the door in Black Forest, childhood anxieties like the mixer noise), but at least he looked at them first... He didn't even take a peek at what was behind that door. And this is the Hikki route, where nothing is supposedly too much for him anymore. I hope datamining will eventually tell us something.

apparently, nothing. one of the let's plays I've watched was NicoB's, who's friends with Archeia, one of the devs. when he asked her about that door and what was behind it/how to open it, at first she didn't even know what he was talking about, then she said there wasn't anything in there. I feel like it might just be there as a troll. like, you need to cut through the spider webs several times to even reach it, and then you can't even open it lmao
black space 2 is just so much more direct with the message it's trying to send to sunny. if sunny was troubled in black space 1, imagine how he feels in black space 2.
I really love the horror elements of Black Space 2 but it's so large and vast that I wouldn't be able to go through it all on my own. Thanks for the video so I don't have to spend hours exploring this place

I want to say that you have done a great job. Even I, who played 80 hours, saw something new. It's amazing that only 5-10% of all players have seen this huge amount of content. Omori is truly more than just a game
Great video! I kind of rushed through BS2 on my playthrough so I'm glad you posted this to show everyone all the secrets. However, I noticed you missed like two things? In Black Forest 1, the puddle in the Minecart Room has a series of quotes when you interact with it, and when you leave that room you are able to see Basil/the other friends' sprites outside running but they fade away. Also, in Black Forest 2, there's a giant steak (near the area you get teleported after leaving the room with the phone) that you can interact with and it disables sprinting. (You probably already know this stuff but I didn't see them in the video so just in case.)
personally the minecart room will always remain one of the cutest and funniest rooms in blacker space also another feature that is pretty interesting featured in blacker space is the fear polaroid hunt, which is unfortunately exclusive to the console versions of the game one of the five main fear polaroids are first taken when you leave the player room with hellmari and you start the polaroid hunt through the black forest 1 after collecting all of the five, omori will then proceed to stab himself automatically you also search for the rest through blacker space
There is one thing I've been curious about for a while. I cant find anybody who sees this, and I dont have the game myself, but there seems to be some form of secret path in the Waterfall area you can access from Cloud Walkway. One of the figures says to watch out for the Railing, and if you look closely at 1:11:57 in this video, you can see that at the corner of the path, right next to it, there's a weird gap in the waterfall in the background. I've been wondering if you can perhaps interact with the railing there or walk straight through it? Can anybody try this out?
Just tried it, sorry but nothing happens, I tried moving along the walls, pressing the action button and eating the box tofu (haven't tried trashing it over tho) and just standing there facing it and stabbing myself on the corner, no obvious reaction by the game
black space was magnificently done. pretty much every single room i found made me feel so incredibly disturbed and sad for sunny. this is so much for a kid to have to live with. it isnt fair.
Played the game, got the good ending. Was thinking about playing again to find secrets but HOLY FUCK I WAS SHITTING MYSELF BY BACKGROUND NOISES HOW AM I GOING TO GET PAST THESE PLACES WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK so is it possible for someone like me to explore the game a bit more? You can try muting the game. Put some Space Boyfriend Mixtape, Wii Store Music in the background. Or just watch some more Black Space videos, it will satisfy your curiosity while not having to actually engage with it by yourself.

everything about blackspace is creepy and makes me scared but then you have all the aubreys fighting eachother later on and it turns into a laughing fest edit: 54:33 **auby circle**
i found black space 2 to be much more unsettling. i haven't even explored it fully (i keep a save file from there to do that calmly one day), but the fact that it's non linear, im not really sure where to begin and where to end each segment, that you can go back to white space, then back to the real world and end sunny's life anytime... it all feels so wrong. hikikomori one day left as a whole felt like the sentence "waiting for something to happen?". i could go all around headspace and do the boss rush, the basil rush, fight sweetheart's clones, explore black space 2...but none of it meant anything at all. there was nothing for me there anymore. sunny was gonna wake up and there was gonna be no difference in the real world, being the only two options sleeping til the next day and moving out to keep engaging in the same cycle or stabbing sunny to death. truly unsettling yet awesome route, i couldn't compare it to the main one cause they have different, equally interesting things to offer. this game is just that cool
Btw you missed something in the docks if you interact with hero multiple times after getting the ingredients he says something about it not turning out right and you get 'key' ingredient I don't know what the use of the item is though
@@greedyfox1748 Correction: it is in the hikikomori route, but you actually need to find three pieces of sheet music in Deeper Well, go to Lost Library, and beat all three bosses found there, then use the laptop. The hangman keys are used to unlock the Abyss instead.
I just understand that characters go more and more deep, from the space, to the dark hollow and it getting worse, so Omori unknowingly going straight to blackspace.
So if you finish the true route, it is reveal that Omori much less a persona and much more of a concept, a suppressor, what Sunny wishes to be, empty. Omori supposedly did Sunny a favor by erasing "the truth" from Sunny's mind. Unfortunately as we can see from the consequences, this was not favor that Omori did. Unknowingly to both of them, they didn't know by suppressing Sunny's trauma, it had also suppress any other good memories as well. All memories after Mari's death were corrupted by this regret. What we see in Black Space is what is left of Sunny's subconsciousness. A bunch incoherent, unformed, and mostly negative thoughts. Sure it looks scary, but at least Sunny cannot learn the truth here. To gain his conscienceness, Sunny must not only confront the truth, he will fail this, but also learn to cherish his memories in order to forgive himself, therefore unsuppressing Sunny's thoughts and undoing Omori's work.
Hikkomori ending seems to be the most likely ending if it were reality. No way Sunny would get better after 3 days of just going outside. Especially after repeating this all hundreds of times over 4 years

I want to say that you have done a great job. Even I, who played 80 hours, saw something new. It's amazing that only 5-10% of all players have seen this huge amount of content. Omori is truly more than just a game
Great video! I kind of rushed through BS2 on my playthrough so I'm glad you posted this to show everyone all the secrets. However, I noticed you missed like two things? In Black Forest 1, the puddle in the Minecart Room has a series of quotes when you interact with it, and when you leave that room you are able to see Basil/the other friends' sprites outside running but they fade away. Also, in Black Forest 2, there's a giant steak (near the area you get teleported after leaving the room with the phone) that you can interact with and it disables sprinting. (You probably already know this stuff but I didn't see them in the video so just in case.)
personally the minecart room will always remain one of the cutest and funniest rooms in blacker space
also another feature that is pretty interesting featured in blacker space is the fear polaroid hunt, which is unfortunately exclusive to the console versions of the game
one of the five main fear polaroids are first taken when you leave the player room with hellmari and you start the polaroid hunt through the black forest 1
after collecting all of the five, omori will then proceed to stab himself automatically
you also search for the rest through blacker space

You can enter all 5 doors regardless if you picked the keys up or not. All but the 5 doors will disappear if you do so, though.

There is one thing I've been curious about for a while. I cant find anybody who sees this, and I dont have the game myself, but there seems to be some form of secret path in the Waterfall area you can access from Cloud Walkway. One of the figures says to watch out for the Railing, and if you look closely at 1:11:57 in this video, you can see that at the corner of the path, right next to it, there's a weird gap in the waterfall in the background. I've been wondering if you can perhaps interact with the railing there or walk straight through it? Can anybody try this out?

Just tried it, sorry but nothing happens, I tried moving along the walls, pressing the action button and eating the box tofu (haven't tried trashing it over tho) and just standing there facing it and stabbing myself on the corner, no obvious reaction by the game
Note this isn't my first time in blackspace 2, and it's very possible it requires you to have entered black space 2 wrong which I've already used

You can try muting the game. Put some Space Boyfriend Mixtape, Wii Store Music in the background. Or just watch some more Black Space videos, it will satisfy your curiosity while not having to actually engage with it by yourself.

i found black space 2 to be much more unsettling. i haven't even explored it fully (i keep a save file from there to do that calmly one day), but the fact that it's non linear, im not really sure where to begin and where to end each segment, that you can go back to white space, then back to the real world and end sunny's life anytime... it all feels so wrong. hikikomori one day left as a whole felt like the sentence "waiting for something to happen?". i could go all around headspace and do the boss rush, the basil rush, fight sweetheart's clones, explore black space 2...but none of it meant anything at all. there was nothing for me there anymore. sunny was gonna wake up and there was gonna be no difference in the real world, being the only two options sleeping til the next day and moving out to keep engaging in the same cycle or stabbing sunny to death. truly unsettling yet awesome route, i couldn't compare it to the main one cause they have different, equally interesting things to offer. this game is just that cool

There is an arrow at the middle of the map. Get that arrow to point in the direction of the door. Then, you can go to the door.

Btw you missed something in the docks if you interact with hero multiple times after getting the ingredients he says something about it not turning out right and you get 'key' ingredient I don't know what the use of the item is though
Have you tried taking the "key ingredient" Hero gives you back to the locked gate in the psuedo-junkyard space?

The key ingredient is actually used in the Cloud Walkway where you unlock the door to get to Herosaurus

Yup, Hikikomori route only. You need all letters, then go to the laptop back in white space
@@greedyfox1748 Correction: it is in the hikikomori route, but you actually need to find three pieces of sheet music in Deeper Well, go to Lost Library, and beat all three bosses found there, then use the laptop. The hangman keys are used to unlock the Abyss instead.
you can also get into the docks on the sunny/true route but none of the other major areas of black space 2

I just understand that characters go more and more deep, from the space, to the dark hollow and it getting worse, so Omori unknowingly going straight to blackspace.

So if you finish the true route, it is reveal that Omori much less a persona and much more of a concept, a suppressor, what Sunny wishes to be, empty. Omori supposedly did Sunny a favor by erasing "the truth" from Sunny's mind. Unfortunately as we can see from the consequences, this was not favor that Omori did. Unknowingly to both of them, they didn't know by suppressing Sunny's trauma, it had also suppress any other good memories as well. All memories after Mari's death were corrupted by this regret. What we see in Black Space is what is left of Sunny's subconsciousness. A bunch incoherent, unformed, and mostly negative thoughts. Sure it looks scary, but at least Sunny cannot learn the truth here. To gain his conscienceness, Sunny must not only confront the truth, he will fail this, but also learn to cherish his memories in order to forgive himself, therefore unsuppressing Sunny's thoughts and undoing Omori's work.
