Only Slavs dance with swords? Seriously? See festival "Rougatsia" in Northern Greece (Macedonia and Thrace), see dances of Karamanlides and Turks of Asia Minor, Assyrians, Kurds, people of Caucasus! Dances with swords are known all over the world.
Music, dance, singing = strong Slavic Spirit, love to Mother Nature and each other. Let appreciate and re-awake our own cultures again before greedy west destroy it :)
Many prophecies out there says Slav will reunite! And we are not far from that time! Don’t let the evil in this world allow us to fight each other anymore!!!! ❤
please put romania and moldova also in the Slavic group, because at least at dances and music is kinda similar to other Slavic countries, and the culture also, I'll be very glad to see my country there too
Interesting, inside each slavic Group (western, eastern, southern) the dances are almost identical. By what i dont get is why do eastern slavic dances seem much more acrobatic in nature?
@Kosename i seriously doubt the claim about the Ottomans. They came to te Balkans in the late 14th century, by then most cultures there have existed for more than a thousand years.
@Kosename hahaha the Ottoman Empire was a very multicultural society, so I don’t know what you mean by “ottoman”. If you mean “Turks”, well there is some Turkish influence in the balkans but it’s very little.
Because they show male prowess. Plus, the dances of warriors are a little different from the dances of peasants. I don't know if Western and southern Slavs have such a thing. We have it like this. Household dances are usually a dance, here is one example: th-cam.com/video/XQ8kv0JIkrQ/w-d-xo.html

Aren't the polish dances shown in this video dances of the mountain people (górale)? Poland borders Slovakia in that area so dances of both nations (for people living in the mountains) might have huge similarities. Folklore in Poland is quite rich obviously but the example chosen in the video seems to be from górale. Correct me if I'm wrong.
It's crazy how our dances look alike. slavic family , slava slavija!
And I show that 20% 😉
