That foam trick is entirely new to me. Very glad you put this video together!
so glad you enjoyed it, I'm a big fan of the foam trick haha
Super helpful video. Thanks for taking the time to share those tips with us!
glad you like it, thanks for watching!
foam trick is genius mate
thank you!
Dry tip/clogging is hands down the issue I run into the most. Always been worried about damaging the needle but I guess I'll have to try some of these techniques.
well hopefully this helps! if you're worried about damaging the needle, brushing on some cleaner is super gentle so should be all good!
Love the cleaner in the dry pallete for fixing dry tip. I've been using a q-tip soaked in IPA but this sounds better. Just need to find some foam...
thanks! super glad you found it useful
Thanks, dude. This was really helpful
super glad you liked it!
Very cool video.
Be aware; leaving cleaner in the paint cup for too long, might discolour the metal. It won’t have a negative effect in using it tho.
thanks! and ya totally, you can see where I've already discolored mine from leaving it in watered down alcohol haha
Great info.
I got one years ago and it worked great the first use but was always troubled after that. Like i couldnt get it clean enough or something
hope it helps, thanks for watching!
The foam dont hurt the needle? Great video!
So far so good! I think it's soft enough to be okay, the foam is pretty squishy
Good stuff! I was wondering if there was a way to deep clean without buying an ultrasonic cleaner (the only advice anyone ever has) and I think the diluted Airbrush Cleaner soak is what I was looking for. I will probably try that very soon.
glad you liked! I actually heard an ultrasonic cleaner can be bad for it, not exactly sure why though
Off topic but I always get Tommy Chong vibes when I watch this guys videos.
hahah that's definitely a new one
This is way too much cleaning work
haha really all you have to do is the flush it out with water + cleaner part but I wanted to provide some extra steps just in case
I appreciate the thorough coverage of steps. For me, I mainly flush with water between colors and run cleaner at the end of a session. In case of a clog, the extra steps are great though. The brush/cleaner step for dry tip took me longer than I care to admit to learn myself. One tip that helped me the most is a 3pt thinner 1pt flow improver mix i use to thin paints -- helps reduce dry tip.
@@Tomukus yeah I definitely wanna look into incorporating some flow improver into my work flow, I bet it helps a lot! thanks for watching
