    Great vid. Just a friendly fyi, if your wrap is fading/failing that badly on the roof you should remove it to avoid paint/clear coat damage. Horizontal panels such as roofs & hoods are really only rated from manufacturers to be safely removable for roughy 1.5 years after install. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

    nice. I use the same lights on the CBI bedrock on my TRD OFFROAD. have them Hooke up to my switch pros and set to strobe and dimmed down so they are not too bright.

    Man, I've been down the rabbit hole dialing in what I'd like to do for lighting options on the Sherpa Crestone Rack. Although they're not a flush mount light I do like the fact that you can move/swivel them to "aim" them exactly where you need to. With that being said I'd add a friction washer between the crossbar and mount. What's your thought on adding only 1 light per side? Either mounted near the fairing (less wiring to manage)...or near the hatch...or two to create a LZ for helos? 😉 I also believe that a white light would be optimal BUT amber may be the way to go to keep the bugs at bay. I like your install and appreciate you working through the "problems" you encountered in your particular install. I've filed them in my memory bank and saved your video. Cheers

      Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. I think one light on each side looks the best without looking overdone. Also, one light will fill the gap between the rack and the roof top perfectly.

    Great video thinking about doing the same thing but mounting on the face of the rack I was wondering what size carriage bolts are you running.... gracias

    • @ClassyTacos
      @ClassyTacos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Man, I think they were 1 inch bolts. The 3/4 would work too. Denalga. 😁

    You recommend work scene lens over other ones for s1 fogs on a city suv?

    • @ClassyTacos
      @ClassyTacos  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I don't see much of a difference between them. At least not enough for anything huge. They all seem to be super bright. Thanks for watching.

    Hello, thanks for the video. For clarification, there are two extensions (1 per light) connected to the wiring harness, and this connection is happening by the passenger side corner of your rack? And then the harness runs down pillar and is long enough to get through firewall?

    • @ClassyTacos
      @ClassyTacos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, you are correct. One extension per light. They way I set it up is with both extensions plugged into the main harness right under the passenger side roof rack fairing. With this set up the main harness will end right at the driver side engine bay area where the main harness form the fuse box comes into the firewall. Keep in mind, my harness is plugged into the Aux box, if you are going straight into the firewall you will use a bit more of the switch wiring section of the harness which could limit your switch location in the cab. Also, I used my passenger side pillar because my driver side is already taken up by the scene pod wiring. So, if both your pillars are free of wiring, you can chose the one that works best for you. Thanks for watching.

    Can you tell me about how far they throw the light out. I have a set of them with the flood/spot combo and was trying to figure out the difference

    • @ClassyTacos
      @ClassyTacos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In a wide open space at least 30 feet. They are super bright.

    Question about the carriage bolts you used to connect the lights to the rack. Did those come with the mounting hardware or did you already have those bolts? I’m planning doing the same thing with my rack but only have a bunch of Tnuts laying around. I’m curious if that will work with the provided hardware.

    • @ClassyTacos
      @ClassyTacos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I purchased the carriage bolts separately. 1/4 inch carriage bolts work well with the Prinsu rack. Thanks for watching.

    But look at how much of a shadow the bed creates and the shadow is the area you need illuminated.

  • @321southtube

    Bad spot for the lights. You blind the guy behind you, and the shadow of your bed leaves a huge dark area behind your japanese truck. What's the purpose?

    • @ClassyTacos
      @ClassyTacos  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The purpose is to have more light when at camp, or a pitch black trail at night. I'm not running with the lights on in the street, thats just stupid. I assumed everyone would understand that.
