Really good battery life on the s23 as expected, the battery life would differ depending on the situations you use it in, but I think if anyone wants their phone to last all day the s23 will do it easily with light usage. Congrats on graduation aswell, i just graduated from high school too,its amazing.
Congratulations on graduating. One thing which I also learnt by accident is that you don't need to select everything manually in object eraser. You can just touch the pole or rope and it automatically detects the object to be removed and it is pretty accurate too.
Why do you say that? Do you think they come out worse when in 1x? I still have my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and I've always felt like 1x is horrible quality and I have to be at 2x minimum for it to look clear, what's your experience on your galaxy?
@@LilGrimey5Star The S23 Ultra and the Note 20 Ultra are worlds apart in terms of camera quality. Actually, I would say that they're worlds apart in all aspects. The S23 Ultra is a MUCH better phone.
@@LilGrimey5Starbro just compared a recent model phone to a phone released way back 2020 💀 it's 2023 now 😂 ofc there's already a huge improvement in overall specifications not just with the camera 🤣
@@LilGrimey5Star I upgraded from the Note 20 Ultra to the S23 Ultra, I am so in love with the S23 Ultra :) The S23 Ultra excels the Note 20 Ultra imo in every single aspect. (I was using the Exynos 990 chipset...)
Congrats on graduating! Your videos have a very specific aesthetic and vibe that I don't get from other tech creators. I appreciate the work you put into them and the information I get as well. 😊
I am really amazed at the battery performance of my S23 Ultra. I can easily go 2+ days with light use and have yet to suffer any "charging anxiety", even on heavy-use days! Congratulations on your college graduation! Best of luck on your new chapter in your life. Looking forward to your reviews from your new home in the Sunshine State!
Congrats on graduating 👍 i have had my S23 ultra for 4 days now and have been impressed with it. The object eraser tool is such a handy feature and saves so much time. Still have more to learn about the phone.
Congragulations on graduating Ella! Great review covering the s23 ultra. You're one of my favourite tech youtubers because of these customization and day in the life kind of reviews. This truly is an end on an era. Good luck for the new journey!
Reading the video description gave me goosebumps. I've been here since the days of you filming in your room. I'm so happy for you and your continuing journey!
I went the opposite direction in a way. I've finally switched to S23 Ultra after buying it for 6 months because the weather has been so bad. I replaced the battery on my S10+ twice. The original one died and the replacement had a really terrible drain on light usage and on power saving mode. In just one week of light use, I went from 85 to 55 in medium usage on a work day, which is just catching up on TH-cam on 1080p, 2k resolution, adaptive brightness and dark mode. The desktop computers at work are forced light mode on some of them, but I can't use my phone to complement my computer.
@Brock yea bro it's like it's not broken don't tamper with it , however the objective is financial greed to upsell the 1 tb option and the cloud storage payment plan
About the always on display, I think the picture on yours is what is impacting the battery the most. Previously I used to have a gif playing on my aod all the time and that drained like 7-11% of my battery daily. I changed it to have just the clock and now it drains less than 3 percent. (S20FE)
Nice video, I occasionally drop by to see your new content since I found this channel randomly, and I have to say your videos are getting a lot better, keep up the good work. Cheers from Portugal.
A little late but congratulations!! Heres my usage if anyone is interested. i charge my S23U at night until 85-90% before bed, so I basically start my day with an average of 88% battery. I also use my cellphone a lot for work too and I still have roughly 30-40% after work. I also use Samsung Dex alot with a USB keyboard and mouse. I try to kill my battery by using Dex for the rest of the day. Overall I can say, the battery is one of my favorite thing about the S23U
9H of screen on time is insane if we consider that the AOD was on, qhd and 120hz wow its impresive that it died on 23rd hour! so far the best battery i've seen! the s23 ultra would last prob about 2 days if it was on fhd 60hz and aod on tap to show
CONGRATS FOR YOUR GRADUATION, ELLA! 😘😘😘I have almost the same settings on my S23 Ultra, but i always close all background apps and deepsleep apps, this way i minimize impact on battery. Yes I use AOD always. This phone is projected with so many background android processes and own processes that take up memoryand battery for the ease of use later...is like the phone is always expecting its master to use it at highest peak...always being "prepaired" for "war" processes scenarios! And i bet a little culprit being the overclocked CPU "Made for Samsung", with speed and also the NPU unit for speedy cache apps.
Yay for the phone, but in a very old man way I am happier to see a smart young person reach the goal of graduation and move to the next step in life. Congratulations.
Actually i'am a samsung user since like 2012 and like only 3 months ago i was having a Samsung s8+ and my always on display was set on always show and it was turning off automatically when phone is flipped on its face or if it is in pocket or in dark environment And i was shocked when i changed from s8+ to s22ultra and that thing was not in it its really disappointing to not having that automatically turn off in dark feature Btw congrats on graduation and moving to los angles
I'd recommend setting up a bixby routine that turns off the AOD at a specific time, and then back on. So lets say when you're going to sleep, the AOD can go off, and then set it up to turn back on before you wake up.
I love your S23U videos so much, makes me want this phone even more! Congratulations on graduation, honey, best of luck to your future projects and plans 💛

I’m going to miss all the U of T and TO shots. I’m alum there. Too bad you didn’t discover that passageway at Knox sooner. It’s probably the most beautiful landscape on campus. They use that often for TV and movies. Seeing all those buildings always brings back a lot of memories. Good luck in LA.

Turning off all sorts of features you know will be running in the background in some way (I'm including the AOD in this) is simply key to preserving max battery life. Don't need cellular data right now? Turn it off. Going to bed? Plane mode. Background processes off for anything that doesn't explicitly need it or benefit from it. Uninstall/deactivate all junk, and so on, and so forth. Makes a much bigger difference than just turning on the energy saver feature, at least nowadays. It's just the reality of it. Doesn't much mutter if you've got a beastyl 5000 mAh in your phone, which back then would've been unheard of. The likes of the Galaxy S5 had just barely over half of that!
