      I have not tried oils yet, but I went from watercolors to gouache and never looked back 😆

      I started on oils and get a bit frustrated with other mediums (why dry so fast?!) but I may try gouache one day

      I find gouache to be so much fun because it dries really quickly and allows me to layer, which I topically don’t do with oils!

    Great comparison between the two types of paint! As you point out, it can be challenging to keep clean mixtures with oils, particularly when using a limited brush selection, but we thought your sketches still turned out nice and bright!

    Can you do oil on paper like gouache ?

      You need to prime the paper first (I use gesso) when working with oil paint, but yes!
