You've got it! Growing our faith is a lifelong journey of ups and downs and moving forward and backward. We ought to examine our faith and how things are affecting us regularly, and yes, sometimes those things that bothered us before will no long hold sway and will be fine in the future. It is all about being vigilant about how things are affecting us at different points in our lives. For example, when I was a new believer, I knew I needed to stay away from reading certain books and stuck only to the Bible and Christian authors. As I grew more mature in my faith, I was able to start adding in some of the authors I used to read before I was a Christian, and they do not affect me like they used to. If I come across a title that I feel convicted about, then I still do my best to avoid that one. Spiritual discernment and personal convictions are something we ought to remain conscious about--just as it sounds like you are doing!
@@412teens the same thing with makeup I ant to wear it so I can look good but without being vain but I’m going to school I don’t want to look like I just walked out of bed or a mess I front of everyone 😅
@@412teens oh and if I have been distracted recently like for example I haven’t been praying a lot I haven’t been on fire for god and I have been obsessing over a certain show but I don’t want to throw it away forever I can just repent and shift my focus back to God and spend more time with him right?
I have a very good question, can Christian’s play video games like resident evil? I thought i would ask cause I grew up playing resident evil franchise and i still like the games and I was just wondering since I grew up watching resident evil movies (seen them all) and playing resident evil games.
This is a matter of personal conviction for each person--between them and God. A good rule of thumb to figure out if something is a sin for you is to ask yourself these 3 questions: 1. Is this hurting me? 2. Is this hurting others? 3. Is this hurting my relationship with God or my loved ones? We hav a video that can help you when you're trying to figure out if something is a sin for you: th-cam.com/video/IHs0FqYpH6k/w-d-xo.html
It is not God that condmens, but some things do allow demon s to influence your mind/soul. They are always trying,so its up to you, if you see it change your thoughts, or ways, or families, homes environment,,,,,,,etc, be blessed.
