I am waking up more and more of who I really am in Jesus. And what it means to be a child of the Living God.
I am undone by how beautifully this captures the wisdom and love of God in the person of Christ Jesus. He truly is all we need.
I think this has shown me that I'm not mediating on who I am in Christ. Hearing is not enough, my identity in Christ has to be pondered over in my mind to really get it into my heart, spirit and beliefs, and to root out all the worldly things from which I am trying to get my identity.

Father God, thank you for sense of self and worth through connection with you, our Creator, praise you God for all you wonders on this earth and in the heavens! In accordance with this word and galatians 2:20, 2 corinthians 5:17, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I bind to hell every identity that is not in Christ while binding one to have a strong identity in Christ in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neigbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ while binding to hell every lack of freedom of finding one's identity outside Christ like tearing others down to feel good about oneself or copying the identity of another, binding to hell being unequally yoked and having any common share with those having an identity outside Christ and lacking a strong identity in Christ while tearing down or copying the identity of another, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

I don't know if I'm getting this right, but I believe people are crushing themselves because they're comparing themselves to someone else. We are a masterpiece of the created we are all unique. Perhaps this truth has not entered our hearts, but it does not even change who we are in Christ Jesus.

Oh how very good and encouraging when I have been down by others and even myself. I will trust in God loving him and love will make a way.
I got to know all kinds of wonderful partial figures, in the self-help movement, and interfaith spiritual seeking. Lao Tzu, scholar Huston Smith, Buddha, the 12 steps, Robert Bly and workshops, all wonderful teachers and people at so many levels. And all part of my path to be an interfaith UU Quaker Christian, aka Gandhian Christian. I love Buddha, and the rest in all kinds of ways. Now all centered in God´s love through Jesus Christ. Anything other than God that defines you, can be used by the enemy to confine you.
The solution: switch our worth from things made to The Maker.
Why? Because,
"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation,
[16] for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him.
[17] He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.
[18] Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything." Colossians 1:15-18 (NLT)
As eloquent as that sounded and true regarding our identity as Christians in Christ, there’s no mention in all of what I heard Tim Keller say regarding the need for repentance.
It’s as if one can embrace this “abstract” concept as Tim Keller himself referred to it; just switching from an identity that’s more self-defined by just adding a Christ-defined identity without actually changing how they personally and actually live their life?
John the Baptist as Christ’s forerunner, the apostle Peter during the Pentecost Sermon, the apostle Paul in the epistles as well as the prophets of old etc all followed the example of Jesus by calling people to repentance.
Not using your imagination to see your new identity through some sort of abstract Christ consciousness which in turn makes one less self-absorbed but doesn’t necessarily or actually require repentance from manifestly living a life that’s clearly in contrast to God’s word on how we are commanded to live.
The message was intended for people who currently have a relationship with Jesus.

We cannot forgive ourselves. We must receive God's forgiveness before we can heal from inner harm we received growing up. I do not have "self esteem". I have CHRIST ESTEEM. I like the book, "Search For Significance" by Robert McGee. I do wish the author of Search For Significance had used the Authorized 1611 King James Bible. The bible used was the NIV. Things that are different are NOT the same. Look at Isaiah 14:12 in both versions. Then look at Revelation 22:16. Jesus is the bright and morning star. The NIV makes Lucifer out to be the bright and morning star. BEWARE of the leaven found in the NKJB, NIV, NASB, ESV, AMPLIFIED, etc. Just as there is only ONE true GOD, there is only ONE true holy bible. I don't call the KJB a version. I call it the HOLY BIBLE preserved in the English tongue (language).
You can't "Identity In Christ". You can agree with Christ or align with Christ or follow Christ, etc..
Identity is who you are. And, just like purpose, it can be what you decide it to be. There is no reference guide (such as a Bible or other religious book). That would not be identity, but rather conformity.
