    This entire series is so refreshing and so enriching. I've learned so much about Scotland and it's rich coastal history through your rich, British narration and breathtaking, cinematic camera work.

    This series has been smashing. I have enjoyed your live commentary. Sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment and forget the drone. The dark side has better chocolate.

    Another excellent presentation Rich! Thank you for taking us along. Ahem. Cough. At 14:00 ... the question becomes ... are you sure you and Helen didn’t emigrate to the U.K. from oh say ... Sweden? 🤔. Sure could have fooled me. Stopped and showed the family ... they asked ... what part of Sweden are they from? 🤔. They’re not. They’re English! No way. Yup. Even have the accent down . 😂😂😂. On another note, by any chance is the opening piece Galatic Battles by Bonnie Grace?

    • @lvthud
      @lvthud 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      does sound like it to me.

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha! When our kids were young (all blonde haired, blue eyed), we used to get asked that a lot! And give yourself a pat on the back - it is indeed Galactic Battles by Bonnie Grace! How on earth did you know that? 😀

      @@visitwithus TH-cam being TH-cam, I was working in the office a week ago and had Enigma on, TH-cam decided that all I want to listen to now is that style of music, I just let it do it's thing and Galactic Battles played at some point in the night.

    You should get ferry from Ullapool to Stornoway, and go see Lewis/Harris 😍 google Luskentyre beach. Then could get ferry to Skye, then back to mainland via bridge and past Eilean donan castle again with your drone

    I'm a broken record. :-)
    Thanks for the video!
    Since you're facing an extended period of can't leave Britain travel, it's time for you to book on Hebredian Princess. Even the inside cabin on the lowest level with that 17 step steep stairway to the next deck will be expensive. It's worth it!! [It's actually a nice cabin in spite of the location.] And we'd love to see your video of it. We'd love to see some of the great crew again, Ion and Egon for example. Talk about some great scenery to record and share, you'd certainly have it in spades.

    Really enjoyed this, thanks. We’re booked to go up to the west coast in early June (Scotland COVID rules permitting), and was relieved to see the Harbour House gets a good review! Are the drone restrictions obvious when you visit places?

      Hi Mark. Thank for watching. I use the NATS app to see where it's OK to film, although be warned - the entire interior of the Highlands is deemed a no fly zone, but around the edges is OK so be cautious! Good luck! :)

    Ceannabeinne is pronounced See ni byne. In all fairness, not knowing how to pronounce written Irish and Scottish Gaelic is a legit nightmare for native English speakers like you and I.

  • @williemacdonald72
    @williemacdonald72 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    The path to Clashnessie falls is perfectly fine. Just wear the correct footwear.
    I wore trainers as far as the burn then changed into waders and had two cameras, lenses, filters and tripod worth 4 grand without any worries.
    The roads are a piece of piss to drive, try it in a 21 foot motorhome.

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha! Yes, I pity the poor people who are not used to driving a motorhome and finding themselves on the NC500. :D Waders are definitely the way to cross safely with equipment. Unfortunately I didn't have any lol!

    • @williemacdonald72
      @williemacdonald72 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought the waders specifically for my waterfall photography when I was up that way, the shots I got of Clashnessie falls had my tripod straddle the burn and my gear about a foot above the running water.
      Never mind folk in motorhomes not knowing how to drive single track roads, there is a high proportion of people in cars that don't know how to drive them. I've had to force the issue more than once when the car had a passing place about ten feet behind it and didn't think they needed to go back. I just drive up till I'm inches of their grill and point to the passing place.
      Look up the Wailing Widdow falls for next time you're up that way.

    Thankyou for posting this series of films of the nc500 but please STOP moaning about our lovely single track roads

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hehe. I apologise. I wasn't really moaning at all. We live in a semi rural setting too and we're very used to single track roads. At least yours aren't clogged with tractors (although you probably get a few caravans eh?) :D
