    Loved it, and greatly appreciated the hotel footage and dinner snaps. Thank you so much for doing this. By far the best "how-to" on the NC500 I've watched. And shout-out for the paper map tip. I knew I had to download all the maps to my phone beforehand as connectivity is at best, spotty. But nothing beats the old paper map and hi-liter routine, and I needed to be reminded of that.

      Thank you for your kind words. Haha! Yes, a paper map works perfectly for this kind of trip.

    Where to start...(in no particular order): 1. Scotland is beautiful (or you made it look that way). 2. The drone shots were fantastic. 3. Enjoyed having the live commentary and reactions 4. Your charming voice-over (as always). 5. Seeing you both was a rare treat.

      Thank you Wayne. The drone footage was a bit challenging because it was so windy a lot of the time and technically flying drones is forbidden in the Highlands but you can get away with it a little along the coast, so we were lucky to get a few minutes when we could. Glad it was worth it. :)

      I KNOW! It was so tempting, but then I thought it could be a trap! I guess we'll never know what was inside... :/

    You are travel planners after my own heart with that atlas 😍 the snapshot-type footage at the beginning is absolutely stunning, as is the rest of the video (as always!). Thanks so much for sharing this with us.

      Thank you so much Jennifer!! An atlas may be old fashioned, but we wouldn't do a trip like this without one. :)

    I really enjoyed this video. We're hoping to do the NC500 in September or October depending on how Covid restrictions are going. For someone with such a smooth voice I expected a gentlemanly hand to be offered to Helen as she crossed the water. My bubble's been burst.🤣🤣
    I really liked the little stove for boiling the kettle. I feel it's something I didn't know I needed.

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha! I would've helped Helen across but I had both hands full myself and if by helping her I contributed to her falling in, I'd have never heard the last of it! :D The little stove is a God-send for these kinds of trip. Having a brew on a desolate beach is heavenly. I hope you manage to do the trip. :)

    Fantastic video. It's actually giving me some thought. Every couple of years we do a family vacation, 2020 it was supposed to be Amsterdam and Prague, that will not be happening in 2022, at that point my in laws will be getting up there and honestly, the NC500 looks about perfect, a far slower pace filed with interesting places to visit and good food.

    • @visitwithus

      I highly recommend it Dave. It's certainly different and one of the most beautiful places in the UK to visit. :)

    OMG I stood on that pebbly, wind beach for hours waiting for 'those @$%# dolphins' finally got to see one or 2 🙄

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha! Yes, it was very cold, very windy and to be honest the dolphin count didn't live up to the hype. :D

    Love this series but cannot help feeling the EV is a hindrance up there.

    • @visitwithus
      @visitwithus  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was totally OK actually, surprisingly so. We set out to prove that you COULD do it in an EV and I think we succeeded. No tailpipe emissions polluted this beautiful countryside either so that was a huge bonus for us. :)
