Famous grave of Henry Ford and the Ford family. Triumph Church, Ford Cemetery, Detroit, MI. His friendship with Adolph Hitler and his support of the Nazi party.
The church was originally named St. Martha's Episcopal Church and part of the Episcopal diocese. The property was donated to the church by either Ford Motor Co. or the Ford Foundation. I believe the property was part of the Ford family farm where Henry grew up. The building was completed and the original congregation was formed around 1953-54. It remained St. Martha's until some time after 2000 when it apparently became part of the Triumph Church. The Ford Foundation is responsible for the upkeep of the cemetery and was very generous with grants to maintain the building, at least when it was St. Martha's.
Great job as always 👍🙂. Yes it's a well maintained graveyard. Who would have thought visiting graveyards/cemeteries or memorials would be so entertaining.
Ransom E. Olds Creates the First Automobile Assembly Line- In 1901 Olds designed and introduced the Curved Dash Oldsmobile. Selling for $650, this was the first high-volume, mass-produced, low-priced American motor vehicle, produced on the first assembly line, a development of immense consequence, which Olds patented. Although the factory was destroyed by fire that year, the company still sold over 600 models of the Curved Dash. The assembly line approach to building automobiles enabled Olds to more than quintuple his factory’s output, from 425 cars in 1901 to 2,500 in 1902, to up to 5000 units in 1904.

You may ask why the steal grate over the graves. Note: the proximity to the road. In 1947, the area was rural but not much. It was feared vandals would plow down the fence and drive over Henry's grave. They hoped the steal grate would detour them.

Great job, but this site is in Detroit, not Dearborn. It is near the corner of Greenfield and Joy road in Detroit. I grew up near here. BTW. Henry Fords life should not be smeared by your racism.
I have no love for old Henry. Reading between the lines of history, seems to me for the most part Henry was a real a-hole and the things he is credited with for the most part are fake news. Take for example the 5.00 a day wage. Nobody got that ! To many stings involved ! It was done out of spite to hurt the Dodge Brothers . It's the Dodge Brothers whom history should remember so fondly but that's just my opinion. I'm certainly no scholar. Henry had no problem with black people but was notoriously Anti-Semite.
I watched a video that said after Hitler did what he did Henry Ford was mortified....
