- MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have been “beset with problems” since they left the royal family and moved to the States, according to a royal expert.
Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Richard Palmer shared how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have “struggled” in recent months.
He said to The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson: “I think they've struggled.
“Initially of course, as so many people have pointed out, Meghan was treated as a breath of fresh air, a fantastic addition to the family by the British media, but there's been a change.
“I think the US media has got bored with them continually moaning about the way they've been treated.
“And essentially has said ‘ok right we've heard that story, we don't want to hear about that any longer.’
“‘If you are Americans, essentially, if you're basically yourself here, then you need to show us that you are enterprising people who are creating new lives for yourselves out here.’
‘“What have you got to show us?’”
This follows Meghan’s £18million deal with Spotify falling through last June, after her Archetypes podcast produced just 12 episodes.
It was said the shows did not meet "productivity requirements".

As an American I am sick of them. They seem to grasp at anything that will make money. They appear shallow and vapid. Disgusted about how they treated the Royal Family. If they lived their life quietly I would have more respect
Well said…..I think most decent people are sick of them. Between them they had millions in the bank from her job and Harry’s inheritances from Diana and the Queen mother. Had they just lived a quiet, discrete life out of the limelight, popping back to Britain to attend and support the RF for important events like the coronation with a good grace (as opposed to attending sulkily because your commercial ventures require your proximity to the RF) they would still be respected. The fact that they have cut off her desperately sick father, lost 17 staff members since starting Archwell, faced allegations of bullying staff both here and abroad, and face questions over the death of a pregnant polo pony Harry was asked not to ride and about how their dog broke both front legs has NOT endeared them to the public. Oh, and an interview with Oprah, (where they told 17 whoppers….25 in the uncut version) and a book from H which is full of lies and spite haven’t helped their reputation either! 🤷♂️
All H$M have is down to the RF.
@@suegray6284 I think people just assumed Megan had millions in the bank when she met Harry and she would certainly have made it appear that way herself but I very much doubt she had any savings to speak of at all. And this because it appears she had blown the lot on her PR with the hope and expectation she could claw her way up the Hollywood fame ladder (just like she does now). And most (if not all) of Harry's inheritance is held in trust by Princess Anne until he turns 40.

As far as the Royal Family is concerned, many people found an interest when Prince Charles married then Princess Diana was the new interest of the Royals, then when she passed, Prince William was the new interest of that generation. Harry May have been a favorite in the UK but not in the U.S. for Royal watchers having his bad- boy shenanigans in the tabloids he being seen as a spoiled and entitled brat.

As above re removing titles…..The universal view, however, is that it is not possible to do this, and a peerage can be removed only by Act of Parliament. That could take the form of an ad hominem Bill or one establishing a general power and procedure for removing peerages as in the 1917 statute described below

I would love for H and MM to say exactly what the Royal Family did to them. They are always vague in that respect. A person taking drugs is definitely frowned upon when entering the USA....there are questions that you are asked when filling out your arrival card....did Henry actually fill out a form for a visa when they arrived on a private plane from Canada or did he fly in on an diplomatic passport because Henry was still part of the British Royal Family.....
