    New example content. UE5. Complete game. Cute robots. Explained by Andreas. This year's starting great! 👍

    Way better than ANY Live tutorial released by Epic ... please keep that format in the future!

    This is amazing. Thank you!!!!
    edit: This doesn't like my GTX 970 (out of memory message). The performance is horrendous, I get barely 20 fps in the editor without even running it.

    This is truly the ultimate UE5 learning tool which I would've really appreciated nearly 5-6 years ago when started to learn Unreal engine. Watching tutorials or even courses here and there wouldn't even come close to whats packed in this sandbox of a project. Thanks for sharing !

    this is amazing, this kind of projects that have a lot of systems that are full of information, well documented, and connected together in one game is really helpful.
    looking forward for further updates on this project, and produce more similar projects please, thanks a lot :))

    UE should know this fact!! Unity has more tutorials and more focused on mobile. UE should create much more tutorials related to mobile and VR. By doing so, I am sure that you will get much more users!! Please contunie to produce this kind of content in the future!!

    This project and your explanations are such a blessing! After weeks of wading through tutorials I still had no real idea how to bolt everything together into a full game with menus, how to go about customized camera control, etc. And I'll be making a lot more use of cool UE features now that I know what to look for :) Thanks a ton!

    I have been wanting to learn unreal after messing with unity since 2010. Always went back to my comfort zone. I am interested in multiplayer so will tinker with this to make it replicated. Great start for me to begin. Will have to get use to blueprints since i am more comfortable with code as my day job demands. Thanks unreal i may make the switch because of this project finally!

    Amazing work, thank you so much! Andreas has such a charming, calm, and in-depth delivery that watching the whole video was a joy. Having a vertical slice like this to get an idea of how a project can be put together is incredibly helpful and is something I didn't realize I needed until I saw this. Thanks a lot to the team at Epic.

    I see myself as a techy person , but i have no experience with UE. I know this is not a tutorial but an overview. Still this overflow of compressed advanced information rigidifies me. This would be a perfect moment for indepth teaching per topic/component used in this project to introduce younglings into UE gane making.

    I want to lower the resolution percentage in real time but I can’t find a way to do it in this version of Unreal, it doesn’t even work running r.screenpercentage in the console.
    The option to do it in the post-processing volume does not appear either, as it can in U4.
    Do you have any idea how to do it in this version?

    Really awesome work. I have a question tho, I'm learning and trying to create a BP but when I added the Jatpack, and the character move, the jatpack doesn't follow the character 'back', doesn't stick to it but stays behind. Any advice?

      Actually, I got it. I should've used it on a 'Socket' which in this case, was 'BackpackSocket'

  • @XlearRetroWave
    @XlearRetroWave 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Ive a question. Why is no interface used at 28:15 but a normal actor componente? I always have the feeling that interfaces are avoided by everyone. 😅
    For a perfect demo i realy love to see the new GameFeatures, DataAssets/PrimaryDataAssets/AssetManager and the Assets Registry.

    • @AndiDev
      @AndiDev 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because with the component I was more flexible to slap it in any actor I want. I had an interface for some time in it and it ended with hierarchies of actors I really wanted to avoid. In this project it was a real balancing act to have a setup that "fits on one screen" and doesn't get to complex while having something a bit more elaborated for a bit advanced users and not complete beginners. My colleague has a nice video about game features here. More of that is definitely cool but maybe a bit much for the audience this was aimed for. An interface is used for the game instance to demonstrate that usage.

    • @XlearRetroWave
      @XlearRetroWave 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@AndiDev Thanks for the explanation, i understand the decision for an actor component. Fortunately, Unreal Engine offers a lot of leeway here. :)
      That's true, maybe the other themes are already very complex for a starter kit.
      In any case, this is a very good demo that you have delivered here. Keep up the good work 👍
