My father passed away 4 years ago (July 13th), I still remember as it was yesterday (he was a good friend and a better father) , this song was playing on the radio on my way home, 2 hours later I got the call from the hospital to tell me he had died. when my uncle past away..I was lost...probably I still am...but..when I heard this song..there is something in it that makes me believe that I will see him again..it is a song about friendship..and my uncle was a great friend of mine..and I will wait for the time when I will see him again..Until then..i will wait for Sully´s new and wonderfull songs..there is no one who can do things like Sully...and that is why i thank him sooooo much...he is the best..

My father passed away 4 years ago (July 13th), I
still remember as it was yesterday (he was a good friend and a better father) ,
this song was playing on the radio on my way home, 2 hours later I got the call
from the hospital to tell me he had died. Funny thing is exactly 9 days after
the funeral, driving to my folks home
(meet with the family for praying) almost at the same hour I got the call from
the hospital, there it was again on the radio, Until Then … Thanks Sully for
such a great song, it brings a lot of painful memories, but good ones as well,
and where ever my father is right now, I’m sure he’s better, until then…

I lost my wife of 32 years to cancer in Dec 2011, it feels like he ripped the words out of my soul. I've been lucky enough to see Godsmack and I've always knew Sully was phenomenal but this takes him to a new high in my estimation.
Anytime i hear this song i alway think of my mom who passed away in 14. love and miss her so much.
Whatever demons Sully's fighting I hope the gods smile down upon his shoulders everyday. Without his songs and many others like them I won't make it through my on struggles. The gods thank you for giving me the strength to fight my own demons.

amazing, im in afghanistan right now just heard this song for the 1st time yesterday and been listening to it every chance i get. did some research to see who he wrote the song for and turns out it was actually a tribute to the troops, which explains why it really hits home with me, thanks sully. ill never forget the day i met him at the edge birthday bash in tulsa oklahoma back in 2000!!!!!!
I lost my mom recently 12.11.16 to be exact. It was very sudden. Sully was on in the house everyday. She loved his solo music. This song always puts me at peace knowing I'll see her again. She was truly the best mom/ bestfriend. She got to raise me for 15 amazing years before she past and I will forever be grateful to have even that much time with her.Until then mom💜
fantastic musician.one of musitians who i respect the most,because of his education.he can play drums,guitars,piano,percusion...and sing like an angel or like the devil.if i ever get a chance to chose the person i want to meet it will be him.no doubts.complete musician.
