    There was actually a recall for those intercoolers and piping. It should've been replaced at the dealership.

    Did you really powder coat an intercooler? I would have thought you would be making it less efficient. Anodising would be the way to go for a colour change.

    The common rail engine responds very well to ECU Reflash. Though it's a pain because you can't do it over OBD. You have to remove the ECU and run wires through it to be able to read/write.

    Do an intake manifold clean, injector seals and tune and it'll be mint

    My Hyundai iload started to died on a trip home from a great day out with a car load of clients with mental health issues! It was a night mare, but the faint knocking sound i first heard turned into a loud knock that my mechanic (I took the car straight to him) heard and diagnosed on the spot as the fuel injectors which he fixed along with a tune up. Long story short on a test around the block he told me it "Died"!!!! and now i was up for $4000 and a dead car :( My question is this should i pay someone to put a new or refurbished engine in this van or send it to the wreckers? I am an artist i don't earn a lot but have about $10,000 saved and wonder if i should risk getting this fixed? I need a car to at least get to work! and at the moment i am running around in a petrol car that is so old and has done 360000ks i know right!!! I am grateful to have the use of it but it is obviously on borrowed time!! I have to make a decision on what to do...throw my money at fixing my Turbo iload or send it to the wreckers and buy another cheap car? Trouble is it will mean no more nice trips for my clients as the van was great for fitting them all in. What would you do??

    why do people power coat coolers ? doesnt that put a thermal barrier and makes the cooler heaps less efficient ?

    • @tryagain.k1821
      @tryagain.k1821 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Quite right.

    • @stollifa
      @stollifa ปีที่แล้ว

      because heat radiation is infrared light, this coolers can get rid of the themperatur more easyly if they are painted black. Like a black body gets much warmer in bright sunlight then a white or silver one.

    If u block egr the valve the engine will run hotter which is not ideal i know they soot up and EGR pipes crack and leak id leave it alone Run a after market air filter remove inlet pipe that goes out bonnet that lets a lot more air in just keep filter Clean much more responsive 😮

  • @stollifa
    @stollifa ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi there, me would like to know if blocking the EGR-Pipe with this selfmade "gasket" does have any effect on the engines warmup time?
    And if the OBD give out EGR errors because of not enough EGR flow?
    Of course I know that this whole EGR Systems are a crappy thing for this engines.

    There is an some sort of Air diverter trim that sits behind the front upper grill where the intake pipe from the airbox connects to. Its very small and its stops the air from going straight into the intake. It diverts it towards the RH headlight for some reason. I temoved it on my one. Can you see if it makes any difference

    • @simonmears1726
      @simonmears1726 2 หลายเดือนก่อน
