Hey John! Do you know if this has been fixed in the latest patch? I'm a real fan of the Deus Ex universe, but I haven't been able to play Mankind Divided yet, hopefully this month I'll get a new TV and I want to experience it in HDR. Also could you share what kind of resolution setting you use on your PS4 Pro? Is it 2160p YUV or 2160p RGB? Or is it better to just leave this on "Auto"? I've heard that with the latest patch Mankind Divided manages HDR on 2160p RGB, is it true?
im playing this on a 55inch lg oled 4k and this game looks pants in hdr compared to nomal mode. too many glitchy watery textures blocky cut scenes and bits that move funny. dont know if my ps4 is set up wrong. i have all visual settings on automatic. its not my tv or picture calibration as other 4k and hd stuff looks great as do all normal ps4 games. hope future hdr games will not look this bad. its kinda put me off getting a ps4pro
I'm also on an OLED and it looks fantastic. Did you set your PS4 to Full RGB (as well as the TV black level to "high")? For some reason, this game's HDR mode does not work properly in limited mode and will look washed out and terrible. You also might want to play around with the HDR brightness options included in the game.
John Linneman ps4 rgb range is on full automaticaly when set to automatic when plugged into my oled screen. unlike my old led screen which i had to manualy put ps4 into full rgb. but i manualy put it into full rgb and tried again. i have 3 hdr presets, vivid, standard and bright. have experimented with the calibration settings of each preset in an attempt to achieve a superior picture quality to non hdr mode but im having no luck.the game just looks superior in standard mode. hdr mode makes things a little brighter but dulls the colour and lighting and gives off a slight unstable look to certain textures. switching black level to high makes it look even more washed out. the colour, lighting and resolution all look better and everything looks a lot more solid in standard mode.
John Linneman a good example of the hdr instability im getting would be the breezeblock textures in the tanker setting at the start of the game. if you pan the camera on them they practicaly blend together and move funny like theres too much motion blur. switch off hdr mode however and they look fine when panning camera. a good example of poor hdr lighting would be at the bit near the start of the game at the place where you have to hack a gate. think its the second hack in the game and the light shines through the gate creating a pattern on the back wall. if you pan the camera on that light patern the whole thing blends together. have exhasted all options trying to make this look better in hdr mode compared to standard mode but having no luck at all
Oled 55 or 65 inch? Must've been pretty expensive either way. I'd love to see HDR footage of TLOU remastered and Unchrated 4 once the patches come out.

besides the white flashes, how does it look? does it actually make it pop? would like someone to do a side by side of Xbox one s HDR vs PS4 HDR

Hhaah have a hdr tv and a titan x that can do hdr, but youtube not yet.
jeez too many flashes and I get a headache from gaming. it's why I can't play battle field 4 in my PC for too long. this would give me a migraine.
