Just how lean was it running? Did you adjust the mixture??

As I remember it was pretty lean at idle, around 20:1. I did not check the A/F @ WOT under load. I tried it out and it runs real strong. A plug check indicates it is in the right range. There is no provision on the factory compliant carb for mixture adjustment.

Moment of truth….screen goes black, video over. What the heck?! We need an update!

I will try to get an update soon. There was a fire ban here and no power equipment could be used. Now we are being flooded out with monsoon rain. Hopefully I can get some shots soon.

    blade is on upside-down.

The Heavy-Duty Brush Blade is also sharp on both sides. This means that when it begins to dull, you can simply flip it around and use the other side of the blade. Fewer sharpenings and more convenience.

Fuel instructions read 90 octane or above, or you'll mess up the engine. You used 87 octane. You were supposed to use 4 cycle engine oil, not vehicle engine oil, 20 ounces, and also in the instructions. If it stops operating, you did not follow thoroughly on the instructions. That's what engineers get paid for. Through trial and error, they know what works and what fails. Then folks like you complain that the equipment is not working and junk. How do I know I'm an electrical/mechanical engineer and have this field mower.

Page 6 of the operators manual, Fuel recommendation, minimum 87 octane, Vehicle oil is 4 cycle oil. Page 6 of the operators manual states SF,SG,SH,SJ, or higher. I used fully synthetic SN rated oil which is the highest rated oil. I am an Engineer too. TNX for your observations.
