    That is HUGE! Glad you got to be a part of that video shoot! Major star power right there! The Ranch Kettles seem awesome for commercial applications but are priced fairly high for many residential backyard barbecue guys. However, they are priced about the same Kamado’s yet offer a lot more cooking room!
    Great video Lyle!

      I snagged it for $600 when I lived in Scottsdale, AZ. I didn't even have room on my patio so it landed on a friends patio for a while. I figured at that price if I didn't end up using it I could sell it for a little more than I paid. Now that I am in Denver I have plenty of space for it and it's in regular rotation now.

    Great video about two really nice products. I just purchased a Weber Ranch at a very good price. However, Adrenaline Barbecue Company no longer stocks the Slow 'n Sear model for the Weber Ranch. I emailed them and they advised that they don't have any plans to make any in the future. I realize that they probably won't sell many of these, but to feature it in a video in July, and then say they have no plans to make any more in October?

      He uses it more to smoke than grill. He used an attachment called the slow n sear. Or you could just get some bricks or something to keep the charcoal on one side. He uses a thermometer with a few probes to monitor grate and food temp. He is the founder of a facebook page called kettle cookers. You should check it out

    A one touch system, a kamado style top vent, heavy duty hinge for the lid, gaskets for a tight seal, and a more modular grill grate system would make this a killer grill. Even then though, the price should be closer to half what it is

    Love the size, but $1500 is way too much. If they can make the summit for 1500, then what the hell is jacking up the price of this? It's just an oversized basic kettle. Should be no more than $500 tops and that should include a one touch system. When I first saw that weber offered such a huge grill I was stoked, but after reviewing features and that absurd price, it's a hard pass

    • @mike9779
      @mike9779 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great question Troy. I just did my first KCBS competion over the weekend. With the summit (which I do really want), it would be tough to fit a brisket and a few butts which is exactly what I did on my Ranch Kettle at the comp. I think trading out a 22" performer for a Summit would be a better comparison.
