Great vid. My knowledge of boarder routers in HA is not great. I recently switched from ZHA to zigbee2mqtt on my HA yellow. Only way I could make this work is by uninstalling the multi- protocol firmware so i lose thread / matter support (this is not documented anywhere!). I don’t know is newer HA updates have changed this. But I would like to have Matter and z2mqtt working together on my HA yellow!
Not sure how it works with Z2MQTT, on my Yellow, I just use ZHA. The difference in ZHA is to select a linux socket instead of the /dev/usb device for the ZHA interface. it MIGHT be the same in Z2MQTT, but I've not used it.
I ended up resetting the Google Nest Hub and when it came back up, so long as it connected to the same Wi-Fi, it just did it. There's one AppleTV still creating it's own Thread network, I think because it's connected with Ethernet, it's confused about what network.
If they're Thread only, they can be tricky. From my research, you need to add them to Apple Home, then "remove" them from your Apple Home, and they should be discoverable as a HomeKit Controller integration. I've not tested this at all, so your mileage may vary.

How did you get your Apple TVs and google wifi on the same thread network?

I have struggled to integrate matter over thread Nanoleaf light strips into HA.

@@HiveMindAutomation I will have to try this.
